Well Hello stranger. The horse also has to be kind and fairly even tempered if it wasn't you would never get them to the races in the first place let alone race.

My Sienna the best horse we ever owned and trained was a sweet natured gentle Lady but a complete professional, with a great will to win a kinder animal you would not get,Brigadoon Boy our first horse to race was our spoilt child and loved to stick it up them in a race he won 16 of them but not quite up to My Sienna's class... he loved racing and took it hard when we retired him at 9 years old.

He became a charming old gentleman and died aged 26 yrs...sad day.

Its the same as human athletes and I am sure some of them are kind too.

Just google the K.Gene and it will pop up. it was in an article Melbourne Herald Sun this week.

Genetics has always been really facinating to me because of breeding Throughbreds Horses for many years so know a bit about it.
I know how to breed a Sound Sensible horse with a great will to win but achieving it is quite another matter.

I just googled the Kindness Gene and there is heaps about it, one good article is from the Huffington Post...what a nice name... Huffington' sort of name you would give to a Teddy Bear or Nuts.

Reading the other day about people who are born with the kindness Gene....just looking back at some of the posts and how members react to me its true ' it stands out a mile.jmo

I also believe some people have so much more Empathy than others.
Is it a curse or a blessing.???
