RE: Any journalists want to chat?

I only watch the news on Sky channel love Paul Murrey live as its entertaining and must admit rather Liberal sometimes.

Still get the Herald Sun delivered every day as will always prefer to read the newspaper over the internet anytime but I am of the older generation, but still the Sun has a really healthy following and still increasing sales.grin

RE: Dating Site & What we expect

It looks like CS seems to get friends together more than a dating site' its the same on our Aus site, have often wondered about why that is dunnoall I can come up with is the whole concept of CS has such a good set up that its easy to meet different people on here and to all join in for a chat.

We have had a few complain about it but it doesent stop anyone hooking up and a few have in the past' its staying true to its name of Connecting Singles which is what the forums are doing. wave

RE: Curlys weekend in Melb

This site is so well named Connecting Singles and it proves that it is so much more than just a common old dating site as it connects people in friendship as well.

So if anyone complains about it tell them there are plenty of other sites to find someone as this one brings good people together in so many other ways just as important remember friends are forever. hug hug hug

Read an interesting article and got me thinking.

Hmmm just had a look at all the threads on here and was wondering why you picked on my particular thread to attack.

I think it would be wonderful for some of you that are single to try and get together' really Looking I see that there are some on here that would get on like a house on fire but because of distance ect it cannot be'it is such a shame because of the wide choice of threads you can really tell what type of people they are and what their values are in life,in fact Looking if you think about it I bet it would be hard to find a more decent and kind group of people anywhere.JMO teddybear teddybear teddybear

Read an interesting article and got me thinking.

Because the Church did not stamp it out a long time ago that stigma will always remain as the damage done to their image is irretrievable! in their arrogance they thought they were untouchable.blues

Advice Needed

Thanks for that Nature.
Will do as you suggest BJ very useful advice.

Hi Dags I have never had private insurance havent needed it as I have only been on the waiting list for a couple of months as it is severe enough to go on the quite urgent list....the surgeon is the best there is in Vic anyway.

As for an ambulance even if I was insured wouldent use it as could be waiting forever to be ferried back to Benalla as it is.

The trick is if you need medical attention for anything and a trip to hospital is needed scream the place down so to speak and it wont take long to get it fixed quick sharp as its no good being stoic about it as you could wait forever.

Although didnt have to make a fuss this time as the MRI scan showed the bulging disc was severe.

RE: Public Housing in Queensland

Dont they have a means test to be eligible for HC homes'and of
course they means test every couple of years and check who is living in the houses ...........surely they do DONT THEY. doh sigh

Advice Needed

Will be going into Hospital to have the op on my back in the next two or three weeks'I know I will not be able to sit down for a while.
I am about two and a half hours from Benalla so was wondering if it was against the road rules as a passenger to lie down in the back of our Station Wagon even if the pain got too much on the way home.

Tried to Google the answer but no answers there. sigh

Never has a saying been more apt Wash' Damned if do Damned if dont... a rotten situation to be put in.hug

Read an interesting article and got me thinking.

Lived in Ballarat in the nineties for 4 years, a family on the next property was very friendly with the local Catholic Priest he was at their home quite a bit... this family had seven children and had recently lost their mother in a car accident' a few years later after we had returned to Tas read in the paper this very priest was up on pedophilia charges and was convicted.

It made me feel sick to my stomach with What If. blues

Read an interesting article and got me thinking.

The article featured Pedophilia and the Clergy' it posed the question that because there was quite a high rate of p*dophile in that calling' do they join the Priesthood to try and remove themselves from those feelings or join up because of them.dunno

I would be interested to hear your thoughts on it.

RE: Not The One

RubbishscoldWho the hell told you that?? I have found you to be caring sweet and very kindhug

As for Old' no damn way....you are where I was a few years ago and its not a good place to be, I was a brunette but as I got older the grey took hold, so purchased a soft blonde hair colour kept my hair just above shoulder length it took off 10 yrs so I was told as it softens the features.

If you are plump well' start doing something about it. inexperienced grinEASY FIXED happy place

Risky I know its hard darling and your confidence is so low now but to meet that man of your dreams you have to work at it ....they are so many guys that feel just like you do and all they want is someone genuine to love and care for...its a matter of finding him'you have to sort out the men from the boys' that could be a wee bit harder but very achievable.

RE: Which person

I could go into detail about all the eminent people that have made a difference but I wont! so this is just for me' ELVIS PRESLEY' he hit me like a ton of bricks, made the sixties into an exciting and unbelievable time to be alive.

Before him Rock an Roll did not exist! it took me to another world of music which was full of happiness, laughter and fun ....something that this world gets so little of now.

Painting

One thing about it no matter what is done to this place I wont look back when its sold as its seen a lot of heartache.

Most of the post and rail fencing has been replaced and painted, but still so much to do.I also have a lot of paint so when the stables are done will start on the inside of the house as also purchased Dulux Fair Bianca its the most beautiful colour a light bright cream which will make the rooms like new again.

Its a bit different to a house in suburbia as what Kizzy is doing will put more and more value on her home and makes for a very satisfying and pleasurable outcome to enjoy, what we are doing is a means to an end.

When we can purchase another place hopefully on the Mid North Coast of NSW we wont mind if it needs some work doing to it as after this project it will be a lot of fun and then we can enjoy the finished product.(holding on to that thought)

Painting

I am in the midst of repainting the stables, purchased two lots of self priming 20 Litre Dulux Weathershield Acrylic Paint on Ebay for $35 in Light Beige and Cottage Green, 10 litres of Dark brown (same make) for $50 very pleased with the result so far.

Just think about this! all up purchased 50 Litres of good quality Pain for $120.

Started on the front of the stables' walls L.beige and the doors dk.brown.

Painting the roof in the cottage green.... (wont do that leave that to his nibs)I know boring colours but boy they are starting to look really smart, thanks to the magic of the Internet I found some US Paint Sites and was able to pick out a set of stables and try what colours looked best together on site.

In things like this the the internet is a gods send,I quite like painting as a result is quite quick and very satisfying, the actual prep takes the longest but its the most important, because of my damn back problems I do just a couple of hours a day but will get there.

It all helps the sale of the property if things dont look run down
but it must be done with care as it will be worth it in the long. run.
