Advice needed

Thanks for that link' learnt something I didnt know much about.
All this has come about because someone might be interested in buying the property and we needed to have water over the stables.
We had a well that supplied all the paddocks but through the prolonged drought it ran dry so havent looked at it for a couple of years but checked it this morning and its got water in it again so thank goodness water to the paddocks again,but the pump is stuffed so if the people are really interested they might want to make sure its in working order.
So things to do is the stable water from tank and maybe a new well pump to have water again for this 20 acre block.
Just installed a new Grundfos house pump and a Panasonic split system ...talk about everything coming in three's.

Thanks for all of your advice and help' it has given me something to think about ... I guess it gets down to the poly pipe running in between the tanks.
I think the lever type tap would be the best for the job ' its just gravity feed with overflow of course so no great pressure on the pipes as the tanks are 8 and 10 thousand litres.

Had four water tanks years ago installed 2 of them over at the stables as back ups feeding directly by pipe about a 25cm below ground and 30 metres to the 2 tanks at the house' trouble is the plumber installed them he did not put taps on them just gate valves' but need to use them directly at the stables so I want to put a tap on one of them' talking to my plumber the other day and he stated that we would lose water if he put a tap on 'my guy agree's with him.

I might be thick but couldn't it be done by closing the gate valve at stables and house so no loss of water and then installing a two way brass fitting on the end of the gate valve so we could have either.

If not surely there has to be an easy way out of this problem' tried Google but no joy there.

I am afraid camping is not my thing' prefer to go to the Whitsunday Islands like South Molle or Hamilton' that way I dont have to cook or anything just relax and swim in the beautiful aqua sea and go to the entertainment in the evening....

Yummy Chicken wings my fav recipe

First get a bottle of Fountain Smoky barbi sauce then add about half of that with honey, a couple squeezes of plain barbi sauce a squeeze of lemon and a teaspoon of crushed ginger to give it bite.
Mix all together on a low heat' prepare chicken wings by cutting in half rinse and dry them and place in deep bowl then pour the warmed mixture over the wings to cover them'then put in fridge for a few hours.

Then place on steel rack over baking dish to cook at about 180 till done then put the left over sauce in saucepan and simmer for 10 min then tip into small dipping bowls when Chook is read to dip into it.
This goes great with rice and salad.

The sauce goes great with a pile spare ribs as well.

Oh its very sticky so have something to wipe your hands with.....but so delicious and always a hit with guests but just to try it use smaller size ingredients and as you mix' taste until its how you like it.

I promise you all it is really yummy.

Just been reading about St Johns College in Sydney' cannot believe that this can go on in this day and age' the Police have been brought in as some students fear their lives are in danger from a group of students as one student ended up in hospital from one of their induction rituals,several staff have resigned and the students who are in danger have been put up in hotels for their own safety.

Apparently this group have paid a hacker to break into some students computers to find out what they have been saying about them so they can punish them.

Anyway' if interested Google the story, I read it in the Sydney Morning Herald online.

Hi everyone' just been reading about this Rooting stuff for smart phones got a bit of a shock when I first read about it as Rooting has an entirely different meaning to me I have been searching around for my granddaughter's first smart phone and am completely at a loss what they are all about,but settled for a HTC Desire' it seems ok for a 12 year old and its the same size as my daughters apple iphone 4 but half the price and HTC has plenty of apps to download apparently also good reviews.

Anyway dont think it needs to get Rooted but the name Desire in my mind is a bit unfortunate. suffice to say I wont be bringing up that connection.

When I first joined pay TV all the programs were ad free.... NOT ANY MORE.....and what a load of rubbish is on there now repeats and more repeats.

Now we only watch Sky News and Paul Murry on the same channel, UK tv programs are so old I mean Lovejoy is on there' made in the in the eighties as are a lot more of the same.

I suppose I am a bit odd as I just like to relax in the evening without an iphone or a laptop next to me, I do not own either' I look around now and watch all these people texting madly in their own world as if nothing else exists.

Better go to bed ....had my half hour on my desktop in the study on my way through.

I am Agnostic as well' I take the path that I will believe it when I see it' alas I am a realist.

My guy and myself have different upbringings ..he is a gentle academic I am not' he is from a big family I was an only child
The two main things we have in common are our great love of dogs and we are both ardent Liberal supporters(couldent believe a Teacher voted that way).

I really hope you guys make it' you both know each other better than anyone on here does' so..... it seems you must be getting on like a house on fire' if the Xfactor is there when you meet you are well on the way.

If and when it works out... always remember its give and take, those funny little habits we get over the years look at those with affection not irritation and you will be set.

Please dont worry about posting on here anymore' concentrate on each other, you dont need to put yourself out there to be shot down at this stage of the relationship' just worry about yourselves as negative comments are just not on.

Hmmmm so Slipper doesn't swing both ways ....funny that as he has not once denied the accusations and why would he tell his voters that in the first place its none of their business unless it impact's on his performance in government.

Some men who are gay never come out of the closet even their own family dont know about it' if it was untrue why doesn't he deny the charges and say he did not send those text messages in the first place.
If the accusations are not true about all the rorts he has done over the years he could sue for defamation.
Its strange that he is one of the most despised members after Craig Thompson that is why many on both sides of parliament said that Gillard was mad to take on board this man.

I was really making a point about the PM and her handbag brigade attacking Abbott about the way he treats woman in one breath and then fighting to keep Slipper in the speaker's job after what he said about females himself in those texts.

Makes me wonder about a guy chasing other guy's then' going home to his wife.

Slipper is a LOW LIFE in the first degree' I have been watching this guy for a while ' his voters in good faith VOTED him in as a LIBERAL he violated their trust in him by switching sides to Labor, he rorted the system for everything it was worth with we the Taxpayers money,he had to repay $20,000 of it when they caught him out....did that stop him ....not on your nellie he kept spending everything he could get away with.

He changed sides because of the money and prestige as the speaker' and all the time he was stood down he still collected $1000 a day,the text messages he sent to this Ashby guy were utterly disgusting and sickening' they are out there for everyone to see,this worm is married with a Wife and Children how do you think they feel....he only resigned because the Independents put a lot of pressure on him to do so and in his speech he had the Audacity to say it was his decision and the right thing to do.

When he first defected the political reporters stated he would drop the Labor Party right in it.... was just a matter of time ...how right they were.

Whatever happens in his court case wont matter as his voters would never Ever vote him in again and good riddance.
