X Factor

Always thought these boy bands were so so' but after watching X Factor Boy Band "The Collective" singing Domino I have changed my mind.

These five guys were put together from the contestants who auditioned just like they did in the UK with the group One Direction.

Have to say our Aussie guys leave them for dead even if it was the first time they have performed together for the public.

Have to keep up with the latest pop songs because of my 11year old G.Daughter and after watching these guys tonight One Direction is history as she was blown away as well.

If any of you appreciate real Talent just have a look on UTube and see what you think.dunno

X Factor

7 has done it again' really great entertainment and the talent is exceptional.dancing

RE: Proxy error

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr Rob and co you have done it againhijack hijack hijack hijack hijack

Anyway if I ever had a prob I just go to system restore as my desktop is (hopefully) like fort knox with AVG pro, CCleaner, Super Anti Spyware and Malwarebytes Anti Malaware.
So I know its my error and can reverse it. grin

RE: The length of ladies hair

Hi Curlywave you are right about that, also lighter coloured hair softens the features ...dont know how Merri does it because her darker hair looks so damn good. confused

RE: The length of ladies hair

Always used to have my hair long, was a dark brunette but easier to have it shoulder length now and ash blonde tips so blends with the gray' anyway only a few over sixty ladies can get away with long hair and I am not one of them. frustrated moping

RE: hard heart

Curly has given you some good advice and its spot on'she is just trying to let you down gently....just respect her decision and move on.sigh

Death Destruction and Mayhem.

Yes I heard about thatblues so what does that say about the human race...in an odd way its like reading and hearing about other peoples tragedy and glad its not us I suppose.
But I cannot for the life of me understand why crowds gather round accidents just to see.......and en masse mourning of like Lady Diana's death' sorry.... cant come to terms with the herd like behaviour and mentality. sigh

Death Destruction and Mayhem.

This is what faces us every day' the Media only ever seems to serve this up to us 24 hours a day.
If there is a murder they zoom into the crime scene showing us the blood, we get fed a diet of misery and sadness for instance the death of a footy player on holiday in the USA got pages of coverage down to the last bloody detail.
The Trolls on face book and twitter are reported on all the time ...I could go on and on' is it any wonder that clinical depression is at an all time high.
The media defends itself by saying this is what we need to know ...why do we need to know?????????????????????????????? JMO

Nothing but Polls

Hi Rivame good to see you hope you are ok,I agree about the laughter remember Ralfie... she was absolutely hilarious on here it was the days of anything goes but in the end the bad outweighed the good and Ralfie was so much of the good.sigh

Nothing but Polls

Just wondering if any of you remember that guy who used to put polls up all the time ...he became a real pest he was a very big dark guy with what looked like a hankie dumped on his head.

In the end I think he was run out of every forum worldwide on CS' he must have put hundreds of the most stupid polls ever....thinking about it the Canadian forum was the most patient with him.dunno confused

RE: What happened to Daggs?

Just sat here thinking about daggs as I miss him as well' so I went to that link and found a review of his bookshop on a site called YELP' it got 2 out of 5 and it started with ...it is a huge bookshop that is like a Labyrinth and they got lost while trying to find their way out.

SO.....I have come to the conclusion that maybe we should send out a search party into the shop and try to find him.super motorcycle hole reunion

Help' Advice please on Air Cons

Thanks for your advice Guys will keep it in mind and I will check around first' I think I will try and get a price to buy and install Curly'also what size KW do you have in your home?.

This house is perfect for a split system as the old box cools and heats the whole house where it is situated so the new one should be ok as well if I put it in the same place.

wave

Help' Advice please on Air Cons

I am thinking of getting a new Aircon' at the moment I have a LG box type for the whole house its in the lounge room but the heating and cooling flow's down the hallway and does a pretty good job for all of my 15 square home'BUT' its so damn noisy and very expensive to run.

Harvey Norman have a sale on and the Aircon reverse cycle Inverters seem a very good price and because we are selling up I dont want to spend a lot.

I know I will need a larger one like 7 to 8 kw's and the prices range from Kelvinator 7 kw cooling and 7.4 kw heating for $999 after $250 cashback.

Or an E-ION Air Purifying Panasonic 7.1kw cool and 8kw heat$1299 after the $250 cashback.

The Fujitsu is 6.6cool and 8kw heat $1649 after $250 cashback.
Now if we were going to stay here I would be going for the Fujitsu
but including installation its another $600 to $800 on top of these prices.

Have you got any of the above mentioned makes... I like the sound of the Panasonic and have always liked the brand but dont know about its Aircons.

I would really appreciate any advice on this.dunno confused

Your Joking Surely.

We get the ABC for nothing here ad free... plus the free to air stations, got satellite pay TV as well' that costs all up about 64 English pounds a month with packages.sigh

TV License

I have just been on a couple of the UK whirlpool forums about all this stuff and there are people out there in the UK that do not have TV's but they are harassed continually about non payment of their TV licenses even though they have contacted them and said they dont own one....Now if the tracking Vans really worked they could tell that there is no TV set on their premises.dunno confused

JMO is' that they go through every ones address and match up the ones that have not paid and they then they send out a warning to that address.grin

TV License

Get this' in the UK they have to pay 145 pound about $200 a year for a license so they can have a TV set, when I emigrated in the seventies it was about 5 pound then( we never paid it)there used to be a van driving up and down the street with a big aerial on the roof to detect if we had a one or not' of course it was all show just to bluff everyone to make them pay.

Just imagine if our Gov tried to bring it in here. doh

Your Joking Surely.

It looks like the Gov cant tell if you have a TV or not just a bluff and blatant rip off...
It would be interesting to see what the Gov would do if everyone refused to pay I mean think about it' all that money for an electrical appliance in theory they could tax all of you for a Computer ect..... grin

Your Joking Surely.

Hi' just saw TV License mentioned confusedsurely you dont still have to pay that ridiculous tax doh
It was 5 pound when we emigrated in the seventies I believe' never paid it anyway as then the van with the dish on top was just to scare people into paying up as it was all show nothing more.

If so' how much is it now.....
wow

RE: What on Earth Has Happened to the UK Forums

Thank you for replying ...I adore my dogs really I do not know what I would do without them even though I have to vacuum everyday
grin
Just been reading about one of our celebrities' a young woman who got so much hate mail on that Twitter she was put into hospital with the stress of it...dont know why she just didnt delete her account dunno what I am getting at is a certain percentage of the population seems to get enjoyment out of baiting and attacking'I have no idea why 'is it because they are so unhappy in their own lives that they have to hit out ? the scary thing is that its catching and they descend like a pack of wolves on the victim,I have found its worse in the evening when they have had a few drinks'I am a non drinker and it seems that it is when the aggression really hits.
All we can do is ignore them and do something else as its no fun when the target is non responsive.

All is well on our forum' has been for a while, I hope it will stay that way as bullies are not tolerated any more and we make sure that members old and new from any country are welcome...no more little groups.

For sure this forum will recover just hang in there.

RE: What on Earth Has Happened to the UK Forums

This is what happened to our forums exactly...a small group of people were really awful and through that many left'in the end the mods took action and got rid of most of them but a lot of the damage had been done....
I believe the inters went through the same thing,if you think about it this is what can happen anywhere and unfortunately does.

Wonder why there are always some who thrive on nastiness and jealousy' what goes on in their life to be like this dunno confused
Our forum at the moment is ok and we always make new members very welcome, there is one who has a hate against the world but we mainly leave him be as he does not directly have a go at anyone more the world in general.

I was born in Diss Norfolk and emigrated to Aus in the seventies so sorta got a foot in both camps.
I have popped in here a couple of times and saw that there was not much going on ...now I see why.
Anyway its damn freezing in Victoria at the moment, hope you are having some good weather where you are' spring will be soon upon us as your Autumn takes hold.wave

RE: where's lonelygirl

RE: Blokes 2

Hi Rob not going too bad thanks for asking waveyes I suppose it would take a bit of making and here I was thinking some steel, tin snips and a welder. blushing doh

RE: Blokes 2

Hi Rob just had a look at these contraptions and just wondered if you could get a plan of them and make one up yourself or they might be more on Utube in fact if you make one up slightly different you could sell them yourself.dunno wave

RE: How long is too long

I agree Kristia...the sad thing is according to surveys done more people cheat on a partner than not' I just could not ever do that ...I have had it done to me and it is the absolute pits.blues

RE: Been feeling different lately felt like buying

Ah yes I agree much more expensive but 9ct gold is very durable( had one for 30 years) and its the fav for guys who want that gold look.
A platinum necklace is very expensive out of reach for most of us but then Micky might have a lot of money to burn.

dunno grin

RE: Been feeling different lately felt like buying

Gee' if you can afford a genuine platinum necklace maybe you should go for gold, it looks really good, never go for silver as seems to collect the dirt and grime and the shine does not last very long. dunno wave

RE: A morning on the farm

Rob is dead right' always use Pay pal Merri it does not cost anything and if you have any probs with ebay which it is linked to.

Super safe payments to lots of other shopping outlets online as well.

The thing I like about it is if you purchase something and it doesent arrive they will reimburse you.
My daughter purchased a com game on ebay and it did nor work so after getting no joy from the seller she took her complaint to Ebay and they reimbursed the money to her.
The seller was forced to repay ebay or he was banned.

It only cost her about $20 but it was the principle of the thing so if you link up to Pay Pal you are covered.
I have purchased heaps of stuff over the years and in that time just complained twice the sellers went out of their way to help as they will do anything to keep their good record and no way do they want that red mark against their name.

Just have a look at how Pay Pal works because if you ever buy online it is a must. wave

RE: Its funny how things work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know AA this happens all the time (no Idea why)sigh

How about meeting in the middle'when you settle into your job bring this lady over to stay with you every couple of months or so' that way it will keep it on simmer until it either comes to the boil or goes cold.......best of both worlds.

Knowing you 'your mind was already made up' but having second thoughts as the time to go draw's nearer (not just an exciting dream any more) I also think that it will be so hard to leave your son as he is also part of the equation

confused dunno frustrated
