Well Kiz I suppose I am lucky was a smoker for a lot of years not too many wrinkles yet' nor round the mouth either.It all gets back to genes I suppose.
The worse skin I have seen are the ones that spent a lot of time in the sun, a lot like wrinkled old walnuts.
Sun damage really destroys the complexion.

I think when I can get away from the ghosts of the past( and they are everywhere on the farm)I will be fine.

Crikey.... I had an English Mastiff who was 32in tall at the wither (back of neck)interested to know how much she weighed ??? Butch was 97 kilos.

I feel your tears my dear... in my mind I can still smell them,when I go to the stables I can still sense them phew getting all bloody teary.. it makes it worse that I am still here with the memories.

Anyway WHEN this place is finally sold we want move to the Mid North Coast of NSW Taree area I think with at least an acre of land as not used to being in Suburbia also having four big dogs its over the limit of the usual two anyway, if our money allows close to the beach.

Started this dream in the seventies when we emigrated from England to WA.Built a house in Dianella then purchased a House and Seven acres at Glen Forest, the dream started with a big T.Bred mare named Dream Valley who was so gentle she was ridden in a halter only.

WA in my opinion is the best place in the world, a state on its own with a stark beauty like nowhere else.I hope it hasent changed too much.

I know exactly how you feel....the only difference is I am still here waiting to sell the place.
Empty stables and paddocks, it was our life our livelyhood our everything for over 30 yrs Racing and breeding had been so good to us.

Once horses are in your blood its there for the rest of your life as you so well know Curly.

My ex went through the classic male menopause in his forties new clothes aftershave the whole caboodle.

I didn't realise the signshe had an affair I went through hell on earth... should have done the same thing but just couldn't not made that way.

Never ever really trusted him after that,asked him why ? he replied he wanted more from life thought he was missing out on the excitement that life had to offer and wanted more.

Looking back I wonder why I put up with his shenanigans and then took him back as after that he was a time bomb just waiting to happen...it took another twenty years and off he took.

A relief in a way. I sometimes wish I know what I know now.So many years wasted on that arrogant twit.

But then I wouldn't have met my sweet gentle man.

Hi AA.yes I saw that doco it was amazing yet sad.I never cease to wonder that through from Cavemen times the dog has been by our side and adapted and grown with us.
Its like nature has chosen this wonderful animal to stand by our side in love and companionship until the very end.
