The big switch

Hi Serene yes that's it they give you 16% pay on time discount and 3% on bill. This is in Vic but I think you have the same thing in NSW
The more people who join up for 3 years the cheaper it is

But Red Energy is in NSW and Vic' I have worked out they are just as cheap upping it up to 10% pay on time and only 2 years join up as they were much cheaper than the big switch mob Tru Energy in the first place.
Check Red energy out as well but you will have to ask for the pay on time 10% when you talk to them...also I like that I can understand the person that I am talking to.grin

RE: A morning on the farm

Oh Rob arnt they beautiful Maremma's ,are they friendly?.

The big switch

Just for interest how many of you are changing to the Big Switch???
I was thinking of doing that... but first I got in touch Red Energy who is my supplier.

I called up to see if they could do a better deal for me..... they upped my paying on time from 5%to 10%, they were always cheaper than other Gas and Electricity companies anyway so it was worth a phone call.

It might be worth calling your Energy and Gas supplier if you are staying with them to see if you can get a better rate.wave

RE: A morning on the farm

They wait at the gate as their udders get full of milk and get rather heavy and uncomfortable as no calves to feed from them as they have been taken away sighthis is the life of a milking cow ....never get the chance to bring up their own babies ever. blues

RE: Do you have a great childhood memory.?

Must have been about 8 years old on a Christmas morning it was snowing outside.... I walked into the lounge room and saw a beautiful Cocker spaniel puppy for me,behind her was a big Dolls House' my dad spent weeks building it in the shed... I guessed something was going as he wouldent let me in.

Being an only child I always got some really great things for Christmas but the best was Judy the Cocker Spaniel' broke my heart that she followed my Mum around more than me but I was glad that she was happy, since then I always had Cockers bred a few too, this is the only time I have been without them' my Clumber Spaniel's and Goldens fill that space so very well.

RE: A morning on the farm

Looks like too many cooks spoil the brothgrinbet they are young one's' at the end of the breeding season I bet they wont be too much trouble to handle as by the sounds of it they have a big harem to keep happy.
Do you ever use AI? or are your Bulls good enough for all the cows.

RE: A morning on the farm

Your Bull looks a nice gentle type' its funny that the Dairy Bulls are the ones that can be dangerous and the Beef breeds quite docile.wave

ROBS RANDOM POSTS ONLY.

There you go Rob get stuck in.grin

RE: OLYMPICS,great coming together of nations!

Just won another Gold in sailing' NZ got the Silver, apparently Aus and NZ are training partners that is how it should be.applause cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering

RE: The blokes space

Its a good cross as you would know Rob as sometimes the Hereford pure breeds have trouble calving as they have such big heads, years ago we had a bull that threw those types types of calves of course we could not use him again.

The Angus breed is great' tough as and the calves are like little black imps' never any trouble with them calving as they are quite small when born, slower to mature though.

Old Dogs and Op's

Took Shane to the vet again, poor old darling was shaking so much terrified I would leave him again,he drained the haematoma and had his staples out and he didnt have to put him out to it, he was pleased that it was old blood and it had stopped bleeding so thankfully didnt have to cauterize the vessel thank goodness.

Since his op 18 days ago he has lost nearly 2 kilo's so will keep up with his vegies he really loves the grated raw carrot mixed in so really he does not know he is on less food.

Gee I love this old gentleman ...dont know who was more upset about his op him or me,but didnt let Shane see it as he would have zoned in and played it up to the hilt.

Thank you for your support guys it means a lot.

RE: OLYMPICS,great coming together of nations!

If this is proven to be true then that country should be banned from competing in the Olympics ever again.
It should be easy to find out ....if it is not looked into it would make the Games an utter travesty' as it is absolutely opposite what the Olympics stand for. very mad

RE: do you think its ok to sleep with someone,if they hav an unhappy marriage?

I think Rips will send Pebs in his place as really he is the naughty one sorta like Dr Jekel and Mr Hyde.wink

Old Dogs and Op's

Hi Merri it looks like he has got arthritis and that causes a great amount of pain the trouble is they feel just the same as we do and its just finding out what the problem is and only a vet can tell you that.
The good thing is that if it is arthritis there are heaps of medication that can help...if nothing is done about it maybe its best to have them put to sleep as it makes their life a misery.

If a dog has Arthritis and he is an outside dog it makes it so much worse for them especially the heat in summer if they are not clipped and the cold of winter which as you know plays havoc with our poor old bones.

Oh Merri knowing you and what a kind person you are you would be a wonderful dog owner as the joy and the love they give back to you
is unsurpassed I see you with a Westie (West Highland Terrier)or maybe a Maltese Shiztu cross both of these breeds are low maintainence and a lot of fun with so much love to give.
They would love to help you in the garden as well. giggle dancing dog dancing dog dancing dog wave

Old Dogs and Op's

Feeling pretty down at the moment' my wonderful old Golden Retriever Shane had an op for a torn cruciate ligament (knee)over a week ago all going well until a haematoma formed near the site of the surgery' its getting bigger took him back on Friday given another course of antibiotics but it hasent stopped bleeding and the swelling is getting bigger tried icing it but no help.

He has to go back to the Vet on Monday to get the staples out but have their emergency no if needed ....if it gets too big they can drain it but it wont solve the problem unless this damn bleeding stops' the dear old boy has been so brave and I do not want him to be in more pain than he has to....just want to get through this so he gets well again.blues

RE: do you think its ok to sleep with someone,if they hav an unhappy marriage?

Ah but methinks it is a plasterer in this instance' maybe melted Chocolate would do the trick.innocent

RE: OLYMPICS,great coming together of nations!

Oh dear up to this time only one Gold' I only hope the media takes the pressure off the athletes for rest of the games and just let them do the best they can.

And well done to to NZ. newzealand

Olympics

That is great at the moment Aus is still languishing on one gold.blues

Apart from you leisure there doesent seem much interest ...or are they all at the Olympics cheering them on. dunno

RE: How long is too long

Hi 'could you say that in English please.confused

Olympics

Great' you have cracked it for the gold a it looks like it could be a race between us as we are no danger to the ones in at the top of the table sighnot even the in the middle. grin

RE: chocolate cake competition

I think the secret to a great Choc Cake is in the Icing ...plenty of butter and Cadbury's drinking Chocolate mixed in with the Icing sugar' put it into three layers and then cover from top to bottom on the outside in peaks with a hot knife.
Oh and then heavily sprinkle with Cadbury's Choc flake's.

grin

Olympics

Hi just had a quick look and cant seem to find anywhere to put a comment up confusedam I missing the Olympic thread.dunno

Anyway just watched Zara Philips get silver in the Show Jumping ...wouldent it have been wonderful if she had got England's first Gold medal' all the same it was a wonderful achievement.applause

Aus is not doing much better with one Gold ...dont know what it is like over there but the pressure from our media for our Athletes to perform is huge I just wish that they would pull their horns in and start giving support instead of just criticising all the time.

dunno

RE: OLYMPICS,great coming together of nations!

I know Aus has only one Gold so far' I just wish the media would get off their backs as its putting a lot of pressure on our Athletes to perform.
I also just watched Zara Philips get a Silver for England in the Show Jumping which was great but the pressure on poor old England to get their first gold being the host country is unbelievable as well.

Dont the media realise that they are not helping their respective countries' as when all said and done these Athletes are only human.
But as always the media is judge and jury, I would like to see some of these reporters get out there and see if they could do better.
mumbling mumbling mumbling

RE: OLYMPICS,great coming together of nations!

Be very surprised if that were true as the English press would have a field day and now Camilla is well in nobody would dare unless they had here permission.laugh

RE: The Beauty Parlour (girls space)

No I never have that problem as I cut it mainly myself but say maybe every 6 months or so I get a good layered cut by a hairdresser I then my instructions are leave some leanth to it please or I will Kill you. devil grin

RE: The Beauty Parlour (girls space)

RE: The one above you

Thank you for that angel' its great to have a chance to say positive things on here sometimes, dont have to guess what you are like the above post speaks for itself.teddybear

RE: OLYMPICS,great coming together of nations!

I understand where you are coming from but is it necessary to to spend all those billions on the opening and closing of the Olympics' England is in a pretty bad way like the rest of Europe and they will get the same amount of interest in them anyway...it just seems that because its not their money and just the poor old taxpayers hard earned they can throw it around left right and centre.JMO

I do enjoy watching the comps and have paid for a month ($18) for the Foxtel 8 dedicated channels to the Olympics Games, that way we get too watch them even if Aus is not in them at the time...one of my fav's is the Equestrian events. cheering

RE: OLYMPICS,great coming together of nations!

Well a bit each way for me.dunno

I think it is absolutely ridiculas the billions they spend on the pomp of the opening and closing ceremonies! its all to do with ego's on who has the the biggest and the best as usual.
This is a complete waste of money as everyone would tune in regardless.

yawn sleep

Saying that its good to see so many nations big and small coming together to compete' in fact wouldent it be great if they could settle wars like this.
Us humans are a funny breed we are not happy unless we are either fighting or competing against each other' maybe in the future they could get rid of the gene in our makeup that causes this ....but then what would that make us' doh

RE: The Beauty Parlour (girls space)

I know exactly what you mean I am one of the unlucky ones that can never keep lipstick on for more than an hour no matter how many coats I put on'I think its caused by too much acid in your lips.
Now the only one that works for me is colourstay by Revlon But only if I leave out the finishing gloss that comes with it...it seems more of a stain really, its a damn pain.frustrated dunno
