I am conservative and voted that way all my life,and when labor got voted in I knew we would pay for it as usual as history tells us as they simply cannot handle money never have been able to,not being clever as I have always followed politics very closely,and I watch the wheels go round and round.

I think the worst thing that happened to the Labor Party was when K Rudd nearly caused his own party to lose the Fed Election,what a dangerous piece of work he is.

They say hell hath no fury like a woman scorned ...that was before K.Rudd appeared on the scene' for goodness sake many a Leader has been rolled, that is politics'but you do not see them going around plotting, scheming and trying to bring down their own party,that is why he is so hated and despised by his peers.

He had to be removed as he was fast putting this Country into near bankruptcy he had delusions of grandeur and would listen to no one, all this was widely reported on yet Joe public seemed blind and unaware of this.

Dont worry Libs will never bring back work choices ...think about it they would be off their heads to do that' its just Gillards Gov trying to spread the usual scare tactics as desperate times for them at the moment.

Whoa' from what I can see is all disabled people are being put in the same basket my Daughter is disabled she is an incomplete Quad...that means that all four of her limbs are affected but her spinal cord has not been severed so she still has feeling, she drives a car very well...the only thing she will never do again is run.

My poor darling is so embarrassed about it that she makes a almighty effort to walk as normally as she can her hands are a bit slow and she has to tell her legs to remember to lift up so she wont fall over which she does when she doesent concentrate.....her determination and sheer bravery is a sight to behold and often I have tears in my eyes just watching her daily struggle but she will never know that.

My partner also teaches those that are disabled mentally and physically and about eighty five percent go on to lead near normal and useful lives' you then have the profoundly disabled who deserve our respect and care' always remember but for the grace of god go we...

Thank you guys for your encouragement ,I have made an appointment with my doc when he comes back from leave' he was the one who booked me in as the MRI scan showed it was a severe bulging disc and needed
urgent attention,anyway I will just keep taking the Oxycontin and see what happens.

Heck all this worrying FOR WHAT.

See what other alternatives are out there in the meantime.

Un-operational

Called my Guy and he will pick me up as soon as possible but having to pack his clothes up still had to pay for room that night,(would I like to stay anyway he asks)...No just want to go home.

Guess what' got lost finding way out again but got there in the end' trouble is the pain was starting to really kick in again as not taken my Oxycontin did I.

Guess what ....no way am I ever going through that again because(somethings very nasty in the woodshed methinks) everyone was so apologetic and nice.

Spent most of the morning in bed as absolutely exhausted with the pain and traveling for nearly 6 hrs there and back.
Got some painting done in the afternoon on the stables when the meds finally took hold again (better than kicking the wall)

Sorry if my thread is a bit confusing but its because I am so damn confused myself as it was an awful experience,maybe if I hadnt told her the pain had eased with the meds....BUT isent that what they are supposed to do.????just dont know anymore.

From now on I will stick with the country hospitals if needed.

I am Still trying to work out what that other doctor meant.

Well I do not really know where to start' but will try' ignore if it looks boring any of you.

Got up on thursday morning at 5-30am to travel to the Royal Melbourne Hospital left at 7am.
Arrived about 9-45am' promptly got lost looking for admissions follow the blue line they said (cant find the damn blue line) on my own as my guy had to find a park(good luck).

Found it at last 10-15am then got admitted' sat down in waiting room then another nurse fills in the same again ...sat down again then someone else fills in same again(did all this 7 days before but saw five various hospital staff)in all answered the same questions 8 bloody times plus some prodding and tapping my back and leg.



Finally at 12-35 pm changed into the hospital robes and waited' at 1-35am saw another two people and singed my permission form.

Then enters my surgeon' asks how I am and I tell her that the pain eased a bit with the Oxycontin my doctor has prescribed for me but will be glad to get off these meds.

Then she informs me that since the pain has eased she would like me to wait another month to see if my ruptured disc resolves itself and if it hasent she will book me in for an immediate op.

I cannot believe this what the hell is going on my head is spinning ...here I was bracing myself for this bloody op and she throws this at me I remember saying OK if this is what you advise I will go home and off she rushes.

Here I am in this gurney with the sides up and this nurse comes up and says can you sign these papers..... I reply ..right' now let me out of this bed .. she answers cant do that' need a doctor to sign off and at the moment they are all busy.

OK will wait just let me get out of this bed says I ...sorry cant do that until we find a doc....OK will you please call my partner and stop him booking into a hotel as he went to find one when I came into the pre-op ....she came back to inform me he has already booked and paid for at least a couple of nights.

Great' found a doc' at last put the rails down...by nowin my robes I had to go and find my clothes so' in all my glory taken back to admissions to wait... nurse said I can keep the Ted socks...(thanks a heap)they are now rushing round to get me some water and food if I want it as not had any food or drink for 18 hrs now and rather grumpy and confused.(what the fxxxxx is going on).

So now sitting waiting for my clothes munching on a stale samwich,
this doctor wanders by and states to me that she should have told me YESTERDAY... shakes his head and disappears before I can question him.

Oboy rather scared

Thank you my lovely lumps of love' some of us have our ups and downs but all of you are so very special to me, been going a while on here
and dont think I have met a better bunch than you all in one place.

Oboy rather scared

I go into the Royal Melbourne Hospital tomorrow morning for an Op on my back' the worry is if they have an emergency its off.
I am having a Discectomy on the left side' trouble is its on my right side.

Told the booking nurse today and all she said was tell everybody in sight Doctors Nurses ect....heck hope they listen to me.

Has to be done as I cant feel my foot,as the herniated disc is pressing into my spinal cord and it will get worse.

Wish me luck guys.

I know what you are saying Kizzy but the trouble is with lump sums they can be spent on other things like the pokies ect which will be gone in a couple of hours... in another of my posts I mentioned this, as you know that some people cannot be paid like that it would have been better to increase the weekly payments they get.

I have seen as we all have those lonely oldies that sit on the pokies and mindlessly put thier money in those awful machines also people on welfare that do not know what saving means,but what happens when the bills come in that have been affected by the carbon tax ...ok I know that they can do the same thing with increases in weekly payments but at least it wont be blown in one hit.

JMO I think it would have been a better idea to give coupons to pay towards the Gas and Electricity or even better increase the subsidies that these companies already give people on a pension maybe.

In Shepperton about half an hour from here the Goverment is trialing a another way of paying welfare and that is cutting back what they get paid and in its place giving out food coupons instead as a lot of the money they get is being spent on grog and cigs so of course their children are going hungry.

Oh I dont know what the answer is but I do know that because of this new tax there will be another generation of poor coming up.

Phew Merri makes me feel a bit better as just paid my quarterly electric bill $623 to Red Energy but about $100 cheaper than most....got the older type box reverse cycle Aircon/Heater got 3 adults one child in the house so a lot of hotwater used for showers, I do the washing in cold water, had a row with my daughter as she uses the electric clothes dryer a lot and boy they dont run cheap.

Everyone has an electric blanket so turn the heater off at night' the weather forecast is going to be minus 3 for a couple of days so might have to leave the heater on as it really effects my arthritis,think I had better turn off everything at the power point like computer, TV ect no more standby.

Gina Rinheart only wanted to get three seats on the board of Fairfax Newspapers because it leans to the Labor side of politics and you betcha she would change that,this person is completely obsessed with power ...power over her children power over the free press,she has got so much money she thinks she can buy anything I just hope that one day this ruthless woman will be put in her place ....but dont hold your breathe on it happening too soon.

Not so this one as he left his daughter and wife for long periods of time, also wife was not happy with him bringing their baby daughter up in the strict Scientology faith(if you can call it that)as for Toms looks he will stay forever young thanks to his billions.

In this mad bad world we hope against hope that there is someone that we trust so of course we... in all innocence believe if we have done nothing wrong we have nothing to fear' also if we tell the truth right will be on our side WRONG its who tells the biggest lies!
Even if they are caught out under Oath nothing is done to punish them...meanwhile the Lawyers bills get bigger and we need a trolley to carry the Lawyers correspondence and so on in Triplicate dreading the phone calls, the Faxes,the Emails and the hard copies sent through the mail.

Until we flee to Victoria and get an honest Lawyer who cannot believe until we struggle into his office with our trusty trolley.
Justice at last but left in its wake a stroke victim my ex never the same again who could take it no more and who left us to run to his big families safety in England leaving behind three generations myself, my daughter and my granddaughter right in the middle of the quagmire.

Funny thing Rob my daughter also had a so evil mother in law to deal with too...betcha this M.inlaw was worse than yours.

Lets just hope Rob that it reaches a conclusion so you can at last put it behind you.

I know how hard it is as my daughter ended up with a corrupt lawyer.
We had the proof but getting one of his peers to take him on was impossible... I go cold with anger every time I think about the unfairness of it all' by that I mean the family court system in Tasmania and all who are a part of it as they are untouchable as nobody ...I mean nobody' even the media is not allowed to report anything or say a word against them they are simply a law unto them selves everyone is at their mercy.

Justice for all stinks.

Believe it or not Rob I know where you are coming from,learnt
through experience, had too take a different tack.

The saying that I now try to stick to is (softly softly catchee monkey)try to find out on google if others have a complaint against this particular person because if they have lied to you they would lie to others,leaves a nasty taste in your mouth doesent it.
