Worried about my kids

Most states are the same. My divorce was in Kansas and when a man wants a lawyer for a divorce that lawyer won't even talk to him unless he first puts down $2000 and that's just for starters!

Don't even get me going on our justice system, LOL

We a humans have always had to deal with wars and as sad as it is, will always continue to have them because this world is not "heaven", this world is not ours to control. We're pawns in a deadly game of chess for power, control and profits.
Sure, the weapons of mass destruction were never found in Iraq and the Iraqis are just as much victims as those poor souls in the WTC. Yes our foreign policies lack tact, diplomacy and understanding.
But we're here to help each other cope with this crazy world and I believe Sadam Housein got just what we was subconsciously looking for: someone to put him out of his misery. The families of those he murdered now have some justice to speak of, isn't that what we all want when we're bullied and beat down? Justice?
We can't all have it both ways and we cannot make omelets without braking a few eggs, we all are dealing with this life best we are able to, but turning a blind eye to the plagues of the world is cowardice and "evil only exist because righteous men do nothing".
It's always easy to criticize but I say let those with the tools to defend us do so!

Unfortunately for us " sane people" the Psychopath very seldom inhibits ALL those traits and almost all of them know exactly what ails them and are able to "act" the part of a "sane" person.
My dad had a few mental illnesses he genetically "gifted" me with and it took quite a few years to remedy but I am proud to say that not only have I eradicated them from my psyche, on my own, but am now surprised to find out that I mentally more stable than a lot of the folks I meet out there in the world.
One more reason for "universal health coverage". People need help!

Correct, it should bother us all and that is the quandary we all must deal with. Should we turn the other cheek and forgive our killers? Problem is when you're dead, there is no other cheek to turn and those of us who are left behind to pick up body parts have a DUTY to bring killers to justice. Remember, Al-Qaida et.all are not sovereign in their own country, they are not military nor are they a political party, they are murderers and that's all they are.
Should we have invaded Iraq? 10 to 1 and take your pick but I swear to you this, if one of my family members had been at Ground Zero, I would have gone and find those responsible and bring them to justice or die trying.

lol, well, that was the point of it all, you never truly know someone and forever only exists in another dimension, not in our physical one.

As far as the lies go, some guys would just try and meet you to get in your pants and at this point, they don't even know who they are themselves, lol.

Worried about my kids

I've been divorced for 7 years and although me and my ex-wife get along better than when we were married ( wouldn't you know it ) I am worried about her stubbornness regarding the mental health of my kids.
I have joint custody, which practically means nothing nowadays, but I have a 9 y/o son who will soon need a male figure in his life ( I have been there for him but I know it is not enough). I have custody of my 16y/o daughter now and although I am happy about that, I know her younger sister misses her.
My ex-wife refuses to let the kids reside half the year with me and the other half with her and to me that sounds like selfishness, yet every time we talk she complains about how hard it is to have the kids and doing the work by herself.
I am more than willing to share the load, like I said, yet she refuses to consider the kid's wishes even though we live like 30min. from each other.
Anyways, If someone out there has a bright idea, run it by me.

Well, I've gotten over the hurt, don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm , I just thought I asked.
Actually and presently I now feel like about thinking about "forever together" but I don't want to be a cinic either.
I now find myself better off knowing nothing is guaranteed, not even tomorrow.

I just ask because I have had 2 serious relationships in my life ( dating is a different story all together) and one lasted for 10 years and the other 7. Both of whom said they would be by my side "forever".
Sure, we had problems, who doesn't have problems in relationships? Sure I admit to not be an angel, but who is? I don't like blaming games, it takes two to mess up a relationship just like it takes two for love to flower.
To me, there are no problems big enough to quit and leave someone ( except cheating), and I believe in talking and solving issues calmly and rationally.
Have I made the mistake of not knowing my partners good enough before committing? And if so, how long should it take? A year? Two, five? I guess sometimes you cannot truly know someone until they break your heart.
