RE: Should the US stop meddling with other countries?

Thanks for the lesson, I stand myself corrected. My point is that no country is innocent and we ALL have sinned against our brothers, not just you and I and him, ALL of us, and that includes them too.

RE: Should the US stop meddling with other countries?

Hey, we're the big boys on the block, of course everyone is going to criticize. But we've got thick skin, we can take it. We should just do what Bush does, smile and be on our way rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Should the US stop meddling with other countries?

Like the Netherlands never went into South Africa... We know what they did there.

RE: Should the US stop meddling with other countries?

Right, man. Give all that money back, after all, you don't need us or our "aid"...Coulda used some of that cash on my house remodeling...Or a pool table in my basement.

RE: Should the US stop meddling with other countries?

Yeah, we should just take care of our own. Who cares what happens around the world? If there is suffering or civil wars or tyranny, we shouldn't do anything. We should just take care of OURSELVES, make money, go on vacation in countries we didn't bother to help like Mexico and Italy. You're right, why in the hell do we always try to instill justice, peace and "democracy" everywhere? We should just not give a damn and take care of our own, to hell with anyone else who's not a US citizen. grin
Does that answer your question?

RE: Weird Dreams

Yeah, I thought that's what that meant. Been quite a few years ago and bends on that path though but I made through and I'm now just yay

RE: Ever had...

A companion is always appreciated in those circumstances... wink

RE: Weird Dreams

I hardly ever remember my dreams and almost none of my nightmares. I guess I'm a sound sleeper.

The is one though that I had a hard time figuring out but eventually I did and all was well in Candy Land:
I'm entering a cave, someone is holding a torch behind me. I go deeper into the cave and finally the cave stops and I stand in front of an all colossal brownish wall. There are markings on this wall, look like Hebrew or Arabic. I try to read but I cannot make out the letters. Then a big deep voice talks and I realize it is reading the markings for me. My eyes fallow as "he" reads, faster and faster do the words pass in front of my eyes and...
I woke up.

Never did remember what the voice read, but eventually I did figure it out, like I said.
cheers

RE: Hod do you know when is the right time to marry your partner...

How do you know when is the right time...

There is no "right" time. If you're thinking about it then you should talk about it. If both of you want to talk about it, there is hope. If your companion has to think more about it or avoids the subject, then you know it is not time yet. dunno

RE: Dumbest excuse you ever heard for canceling a date

She said she had to go to work, somehow the main frame computer lost all the work she had done that day and that she needed to redo it before the coming Monday!
I called her company and talked to the IT guy. He didn't know WTF I was talking about and said all the employees work are saved not only on the "main frame" but also on their work station but there was not accident "as of now".

Did I know that? Sure, I just didn't want to be a jerk by assuming she was blowing me off.

RE: Shrinks #1 the medical professions that don't believe in religion

Well, you're right, I do have different notions of what people call this or that . I am an individual and as that, I see things the way I understand them, not the way I was told by some other fool...
Spirituality to me is not some vague notion. It is a standard by which I try to live my life in honor, truth and respect of others. As far as clear scientific evidence, I think science has a long long way to go in understanding our universe and the results are not in yet.
Experiences might not be scientific evidence to some but they CAN be replicated. Of course, it is all based on trusting who you speak with, but I can tell you that when I meditate or contemplate, I expect certain happenings and outcome and I do get that.
And if you've ever had an outer body experience as I many times have had, there are some consistencies in every occurrence.

And granted, those examples were lame, LOL. But why would the government fund a project such as Remote Viewing if it were only a pseudoscience trying to justify a hoax?

I am Woman / I am Man

WOMAN'S POEM
Before I lay me down to sleep,
I pray for a man, who's not a creep,
One who's handsome, smart and strong.
One who loves to listen long,
One who thinks before he speaks,
One who'll call, not wait for weeks.
I pray he's gainfully employed,
When I spend his cash, won't be annoyed.
Pulls out my chair and opens my door,
Massages my back and begs to do more.
Oh! Send me a man who'll make love to my mind,
Knows what to answer to "how big is my behind?"
I pray that this man will love me to no end,
And always be my very best friend.

angel

Before I lay me down to sleep,
I pray for a woman I can always keep,
One who's beautiful, fond and smart
One who' won't care when I fart.
One who thinks before she speaks,
One who'll answer, not act like a freak.
I pray she's equally wild,
When I spend my cash, cares for my inner-child.
Pulls out her care and opens my core,
Massages my sack and begs for more.
Oh! Send me a woman with whom I can grind,
Knows what to answer to "how 'bout from behind?"
I pray that this woman will love me and not pretend,
And always be my very best friend.

RE: Shrinks #1 the medical professions that don't believe in religion

I agree with you. thumbs up

RE: What happend...

My ex girlfriend was a sweetheart and our love was such as not to easily be found on this earth. We loved each other to the very ends of love itself for 7 years.
Unfortunately and understandably, she loved her two boys more than anything on this earth and when her ex boyfriend jumped some loophole to get the boys back, she became another person, she became depressed and suicidal, just not right in the head. I supported her and consoled her greatly until she threw everything back at my face and started blaming me for it. Needless to say, our love, though so strong, was no match for this world's deluge of negativity and she left to live with her parents where she could feel grounded and maybe babied.
She will always remain in my heart.

RE: WORLDS EASIEST QUIZ

Hasta la vista, senorita! :and good night:

RE: Shrinks #1 the medical professions that don't believe in religion

I agree with the main body of your statement but not the last bit.

"Spirituality or religion are faith based and consequently cannot be verified. It's a belief system that usually does not question itself. Ergo, scientific methods are being ignored."

Spirituality is not faith based, it is the fruit of many years of searching, contemplation and meditation. Spirituality doesn't rest on faith but on experience and it doesn't ignore scientific methods at all, it seeks to espouse science with the knowledge of the mind and soul.
Religion is faith based and yes, cannot be verified (aside from countless archaeological finds) but it does question itself hence the endless debates within religions themselves. And scientific methods are not being ignored for the simple fact that many great scientist of old were religious and not pretending to be either.

In the end, I see science, spirituality and , to some extent , religion supporting each other towards higher goals and achievements. Recently a lot of "scientific" projects have been developed in the purpose of finding out more about the universe and dimension we live in :
Remote Viewing
Body Doubling
Levitation
Psychic Investigations

To name a few.
