Walking past a window in a hospital courtyard and eying my sweetie, I tripped on a low cafeteria sign and totally destroyed it !! She was with three other girlfriends inside and they cracked up like I'm sure never before!!
Isn't it strange how our attitudes seem to change when " love in in the air" ? It brings the best in us and that's why people yearn to be in love or with someone who will love them for who they are.
It's possible but I think it's not probable. This site has a pretty good format for us users to KNOW someone has sent you a note or flower and also, on top of it, to know if that was read or not, so no misunderstanding.
One will stop gorging when she/he has a definite feeling the person they are communicating with IS the one...
I understand you point though, some people just want their cake and eat it too. Some others are into several relationship at the same time! and yet others are just browsing until something better comes along...
It's a harsh harsh world but somehow I have the feeling we deserve to be in it.
" most people need to look the word..committed... up in a dictionary..."
Committed as in being put in a mental institution?
A commitment, in my view, can only come into play AFTER the relationship begins... How do you expect someone to be committed if they have never met you? And if you live away from each other, how do you expect them to develop the emotional attachment that is needed for a commitment?
As a matter of fact, I've never started a relationship from a dating site and I've been online since 1998!
My first wife I met at an apartment complex after a party ( she wasn't at the party ) My second wife I met cashing a check at a check-cashing place And my first "long-term" girlfriend I met at work
Can anyone trust someone's mind when it comes down to the real deal? NO
Do you make yourself a mental picture by someone's words and way of thinking? YES
and Would you be able to know on which foot to dance when companionship is just not enough anymore? NO
In conclusion, if I may ( this thread almost found itself in the garbage so I'll close it now)
We're all here on CS to CHAT...Finding someone based on online meeting is just as empty as finding someone in a club or a supermarket next door. You never know what's going to come out of it, IF anything comes out of it. Could it be that in our age of instant gratification we have forgotten what courtship means and how important that is?
Well, the old lady just "look as if she's about to die" but is in no danger, tos old timers are tough Besides, she would probably refuse it coming from me!
The friend who saved my life would probably insist I take my partner since he's so considering and kind to me. Plus he's a friend so he'd understand and cheer me on.
So it's the partner I've been looking for all my life. Who knows if I'll ever meet her again!
Are my morals warped? Maybe but I could give a @&@%
RE: Taken or Not Taken........Which are you?
You'll never know I'm around, I swim like a fish and am stealthy as a chameleon!!
