It has to be the one about " just" being human, that we can't change the things around us, that it's not the best system we have but it's the only one we have, that "God is three in one" or " one in three" or something to that effect. that we're "civilized" and Man come from "monkeys" and we "think therefore" we "are" and "life isn't fair" and "justice is blind"

I take those as ONE lie, the lie that keeps us in a mental prison!

But the fly analogy is a good point, though and yes, I think we can come up with the materials to withstand light speed, after all, once it goes that fast I don't think it's a matter of how strong it is, I think it has more to do with it's composition at the subatomic level and whether that material can adapt to the changes that might occur???

You are right, I think we can come up with a lot of technology to help the human race move forward beyond certain "issues" but , yes, they don't want to spend the money necessary to get there...

Sometimes I function on 4 ans sometimes on none! I once stayed about 100 hours without sleep and worked at night but I wouldn't think of doing it now.
I like to sleep though, it's just I don't like going to bed...Maybe if there were someone interesting in there...

This is not only for the Star Trek fans. I'm asking do you think our civilization, if it lasts that long will ever achieve faster than light speed? Someone in the military told me we are now testing a car that hovers and now I read a New Antigravity solution will
enable space travel near speed of light by the end of this century.
On Tuesday, Feb. 14, noted physicist Dr. Franklin Felber is presenting his new exact solution of Einstein's 90-year-old gravitational field equation to the Space Technology and Applications International Forum (STAIF) in Albuquerque. The solution is the first that accounts for masses moving near the speed of light.


What do you think? Definitely possible but is it probable to be able to travel at or faster than the speed of light?
The implications are enormous and applications even more mind boggling!

I think being yourself is definitely the way to be. Your "original" character is the one you want her/him to know, not the " I want to please you.." front because a front will eventually fall and then you're left with yourself, which she/he doesn't know and might not like anyway.
