it is an artistic, literary, and intellectual movement from around the middle of the 18th century in Western Europe, during the Industrial Revolution.
It was partly a revolt against aristocratic, social, and political norms of the Enlightenment period among other things... I think it's one thing about it.
Anyways, what a person enjoys doesn't necessarily disqualify him/her as the person of your dreams. I understand that people want someone to share things with but when you love someone, you can and will do and go places he/she will go and do. JMO
I agree with you, classicrockgirl. If all you're concerned with and do is please please please that partner without being fulfilled yourself, you will not be happy and, yes, you will start to resent your partner.
As a Marine(ex) and Belgian Para Trooper(ex), I understand your frustration towards our government. We soldiers fight the good fight while our family is left to fend for themselves. We're treated like garbage yet embraced by the population we protect and deliver. No combatant should ever be forgotten nor their memory lost to time or history. Yet, the 911 victims were civilians, they had not signed up for duty nor did they die on the battlefield. They did not swear to protect and upholds the values of our country yet they died just as horribly as our troops in the field. Do not let your frustration be directed towards those civilians and their families, our government and the "leaders" of the world bear full responsibility for the injustices of the world and they will not take their iniquities to heaven.

Holidays are a ploy to get you to buy crap no one really needs, I don't get too sappy about it....

I'd have to say the one I still hurt from I guess. We were together for 6 years. She was everything I could have ever wanted... Until she blamed me for her ex taking her kids away while her OWN parents could have stopped it by telling the courts she had changed address and changed state and could not be served there, instead, they just sat on their hands... She went boinkers and after all I did for her, she threw everything back at my face! I guess no good deed stays unpunished.
No, women want guys who'll yell at them, hit them and push them. They want the real jerks who come home to a warm meal and still complain about the dishes. They want the type who watch football all Sunday and expect their beer served on a platter and a sandwich with that too. They want the ones who don't get intimate but screw them once and turn to sleep without a good night kiss, the ones who wake up and leave to work without a good morning or a good bye, the ones who....
