Here you have a legitimate cause, unconnected to semitism. Lets see how far you go with it, I'd say nowhere.
I would say the lack of action/interest means you value one race over another. And would rather these things went away, so not to affect your percieved self awesomeness..
I would suggest, the "underdog status" dictates this is as serious as any other issue. But maybe won't give the same feel good righteous reward as being antisemetic.
I'm being polite with "could".. But if there is a cause, it's several countries rushing in as they have.
The Chinese traders are sometimes unkindly referred to as "the Jews of the Pacific"... As they work hard and run shops and businesses. Perhaps trying to get away and turn a dollar, who can blame them.
But they get blamed and their shops burnt out. For something they had no involvement or interest in. At least 3 have died so far.
I don't do links, google does that for me. Solomon Islands unrest should do it. They've burned the place out pretty much.
The victims here are Chinese background. Traders, trying to get by. Doing what they do.
The conflict seems somehow related to recognition of Taiwan as Chinese, not Taiwanese. Could involve Government corruption, these places are generally corrupt as.
To me, these Chinese background people are being treated unfairly. The Chinese Government seems not to care, presumably because these people are not inline with their thinking, being free market traders.
I'd be interested on you take re things in the Solomons, It seems there are victims there of great unfairness. See what's happened to Chinatown in Honiara. Those poor folks were just trying to get by. But because of their background, they don't seem "victimy" enough.
It possibly involves being impatient too... Rather than leave it, and think up something interesting/relevant to say later, I'll ask if they like wholegrain bread now...
Both genders do it, run out of interesting things to say, and just ask heaps of pointless questions.
After music/food/sport/etc. have been covered, the questioning usually crosses that line of what folks choose to share with strangers. There's not a nice way of saying- none of your business, and without being told the other person can't understand why their fascinating questions are not being answered.
A friend does/did it. He lost weight, keeps going with it. He has other health issues so I can't blame Keto, but to me he looks worse than he did having a tummy.
It's very restrictive. I think eating less, with variety, would be more healthy.
I saw an interesting show, about the Soda stream factory in Palestine. It's owned by the Israelis, but one of few businesses providing work... So would you boycott or not? If they go broke, everyone's out of work.
That's a weakness of virtue signalling, always trying to think which id the most awesome stance to take.
Everyone loves the USA, even though sometimes they zig when we think they should've zagged. I'm pretty sure the band No Doubt came from America too, so that's something to think about.
RE: Why boycott?
Yeah, a cool song. Kind of a love hate with the Cardigans. I think favourite game eclipsed perhaps more groovy stuff.
