Perhaps he should start here??? Although they say it is the "final frontier" and once you are here you will never truly be able to leave...you ain't seen Canada 'til you've seen the Yukon...
I read that in the news... The year I was preggers with the youngest we had horrible smoke in north Sask...I really feel for you all - it literally hurts to breath. Safe travel wishes to Brian. As nice to hear that Geo is A-ok and his wicked sense of humour remains intact!!
Just a shout out to our neighbours down in BC...Geo and Laffingone and many others...stay safe, thinking of you all. We got some much needed rain today or could have easily been in the same situation, was like living in the midst of a tinder box. BC is taking a huge hit economically with these fires...Brian drive home safe, imagine the smoke may, if the winds are right, cause some visibility problems.
Don't like the sound of accident recovery...not with some of the roads that have to be travelled. Do hope nobody was lost. It is so flipping hot here again Kim... Sorry you won't have much time together this week...sucks!
No. Just got your mail now...and it is perfectly fine that you gave Brian my #. He called, I was at work. Had a bit of a chat, decided I would call him later. Went to Glen's had supper and then fell asleep til 8. Had to run down to CT to get a few things for truck as we are going to Skagway tomorrow. Called Brian, just seems like no time...had to get to bed and get some rest have to work a 12 hour shift today. But...when you come up, come hell or hi water...getting together. I just need a day off or to find a job where I work one - and can live somewhat a normal life! Gord and Marie came into the store and he purchased a beautiful new food-burner. Maybe he and Brian did get together. Told Brian to have a safe trip home and give you a squeeze...ask him what he said in response...goof!
I met her!! She is gorgeous...Gordy is smiling!!! Hope you are feeling better real soon Marie...and I expect to hear about the gourmet supper your man makes you next week
Well give us an initial or something!!! I am; we all are happy for you gord, ya old goof...but you know what?....it wasn't meant to be 40 years ago...it's meant to be now. Hi gordy's lady!!!!
Yes...but it seems many folks can't understand plain old logic. But I do know that I am glad that you pop in now and again...how's the new "thing" going???
"What food might this contain?" The mouse wondered. He was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.
Retreating to the farmyard,
the mouse proclaimed this warning :
"There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!"
The chicken clucked and scratched,
raised her head and said, "Mr. Mouse,
I can tell this is a grave concern to you,
but it is of no consequence to me.
I cannot be bothered by it."
The mouse turned to the pig and told him,
"There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!"
The pig sympathized, but said,
"I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse,
but there is nothing I can do about it
but pray.
Be assured you are in my prayers."
The mouse turned to the cow and said,
"There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!"
The cow said, "Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you,
but it's no skin off my nose."
So, the mouse returned to the house,
head down and dejected,
to face the farmer's mousetrap
. . . Alone. . .
That very night
a sound was heard throughout the house
-- the sound Of a mousetrap catching its prey.
The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught.
In the darkness, she did not see it.
It was a venomous snake
whose tail was caught in the trap. The snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital. When she returned home she still had a fever. Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup. So the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient:
But his wife's sickness continued. Friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig.
But, alas,
the farmer's wife did not get well...
She died. So many people came for her funeral
that the farmer had the cow slaughtered
to provide enough meat for all of them
for the funeral luncheon. And the mouse looked upon it all
from his crack in the wall
with great sadness.
So, the next time you hear
someone is facing a problem
and you think it doesn't concern you,
remember -- When one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.
We are all involved in this journey called life.
We must keep an eye out for one another
and make an extra effort
to encourage one another. YOU MAY WANT TO SEND THIS
OMFG man...I missed this post..til now. It was a spew coffee on the keyboard moment and provided me with a real belly laugh. Thank you Brew...I so needed that...you make me smile ...sorry folks! And now back to the saga of "North"...
On our drive out on the north Klondike tonight, Glen reminded me (yes he did) that 2 years ago tomorrow, it all started! Just wanted to toot our horn and those of all the others who have met their happily ever after! And for those still searching, hoping and waiting...he or she will come along I am grateful that this man is in my life and in my heart and that he loves me...
