And where do you put the millions upon millions of displaced then? If they return to their original lands the world will be at war just like your region and then you can sit back and have the last laugh? The idea of their stupid grand pas living there is exactly what you are fighting for... No wonder there is such a war. Neither side recognizes the other side as human. You do your people no service by posting this sort of reply. The world is what it is. Accept this and try to get on with your life before the Hamas end up getting their wish of a parking lot and super mall with enough radiation to treat everyone with Cancer at the same time.
I agree the atrocity is outright wrong but to the highlighted point I disagree. Sure they are elected but they pay for their seat through support from nations who wish to maintain the volatility of the region. Iran and others drop huge payments into their bankroll and this is filtered to some degree down to the local population to garner support. Hamas is an institute of terrorism and is only there to provide the Middle Eastern world a view of Israel that conforms them all to hatred of the Jews. Remove Hamas and allow both nations to come to some agreement together rather than one having the upper hand (neither deserve this and they have both clearly proven this with their track records.) Once Hamas is gone then the fanaticism of the Zionists will be tamed or have to be removed as well.
Hamas is not defending anyone. Rather they are putting the people of Palestine in the crossfire while they seek the approval of the world eye. They are terrorists plain and simple and have no one's good at heart. To them the Palestinians are fodder for their war machine. And their only goal and reason for existence is the outright genocide of an entire people.
I only mentioned Hamas as they provide a distinctive cover for the atrocities occurring there now. They are extremely vocal in their approach and if they were removed the world would have no choice but to see the acts against the Palestinians for what they are. Or they would have to cease altogether.
Fanaticism on both sides need to be removed. In that you are correct. The death toll on both sides is mostly innocents and has to be rectified. I am pleased to see we agree on this my friend.
I am against the wholesale slaughter of innocents from either side. I believe that the Israelis will never leave alive (refer to Masada) and I likewise believe the Palestinians will never leave alive. The only solution is to be rid of Hamas to free yourselves from the crippling adversity presented by harbouring terrorists then find a peaceable agreement that favours both peoples. Many countries in the world have multiple cultures coexisting without sucide bombing each other. It is a global world and with the population growing out of control the way it is you should both be happy to share the land. The land is the land and it was occupied by Mother Nature long before any humans put a single foot on it. If I were to see it that way I would prefer that She (Mother Nature) take it all away from the whole of humanity. Two fleas and a dog... just doesn't make sense today.

It is only through great efforts that they have managed to maintain any sort of idea of who they were and should be. I just got back from the hospital and the doctor froze my eye completely inserted a needle into my iris and pulled the foreign body out. Then proceeded to use a miniature grinder to burn off the rust spot that had taken hold on my cornea. So my eyeball is fixed and now just needs to be protected until it completely heals. Damn I am excited to be able to read a frikken book again, three days without was the longest I have gone in 35 years at least. And of course I can now enjoy the IIHF World Junior Hockey game in an hour.
Clearly not until Hamas and other like minded groups are removed from the equation. Far too long if you ask me but then I do not entirely blame Israel for reacting in the way they have as long as terrorists are their neighbours.
Once more to the forefront as there seems to be more people onboard at this time of day and I really do wat all of my friends back where I can find them.
World War three is and has been in the works for far too long already. The initiator that gets the public award for 'starting' it will be whichever one flinches first or is struck hardest by personal losses in the grand game of manipulation they have all been playing like a gigantic chess match. Once it overtly crests there can in truth be no winners as the powers that be have ammasses far too great an arsenal to not wipe us all out with collateral damages regardless of where the actual ground zero is. In truth the whole thing would be humerous (in a Hollywood desensitization manner of course) if it were not altogether too real and in each of our back yards.
Like I said previously this whole point is exactly like two fleas arguing over who owns the dog. It is not an issue that can be realized in any way. The situation right or wrong is already too far done and there is no going back. Forward only and this will have to be one side being wiped out (God forbid) or peaceful coexistence. The second option will not occur with terrorists hiding amongst the locals. Wolves in sheep's clothing are always far too dangerous to have around any home. Rid yourselves of Hamas and the whole issue will sort itself out in a way that is acceptable for both sides. I have chinese neighbours, I likewise have Muslim neighbours, and in fact neighbours from all parts of the world. We coexist and have not lost our cultural identities. Why can you not do the same?
The nature of human development has always included the wars of consumption and displacement. To solve this point we would have to erradicate most nations of this earth completely as very few live in a land that was truly unoccupied before they arrived. There is no way of unwriting history. We can only learn from it and that seems to be a lesson for the common person rather than the leaders of any so called civilized nation. None are willing to let go of what they believe they have some claim to. Eventually we will have to face extinction as the war continues to grow to a point that it is truly global. History shows quite clearly that many tribes existed in those lands so who is to say which one has any sort of rights based on their previous claims? The situation is what it is right now and the only solution is peaceful coexistence which does not seem possible by any means. I fear for all the peoples in that region terribly as it only seems to get worse. The Israelis who have come to the region once had claims to that land themselves and feel justified in taking it back after 2000 years of displacement. They have technology and power to do so and the rest of the world fears this as they have shown many times in the past that they are capable and willing to defend their land exactly as they did in Masada.
If your neighbour has a dog that constantly bites your children and you have it removed. Then they get another one of the same sort do you not retaliate against the neighbour at some point? Hamas uses the Palestinians as shields to support their terrorism and sadly they hide amongst innocents. Eventually they will lose favour with the people they are using as defences and they will be kicked out to face their enemies in the open. Until that day there will be deaths from crossfire and collateral damages to be certain. None of it is right but it is happening and will continue to happen as long as terrorists are allowed to hide amongst the Palestinian people. If the Jewish State is truly as bad as you are trying to show then perhaps move the Hamas out so that the Jewish point can be shown for what it is. If they continue to attack and kill innocents they will be seen as the aggressors and the world will finally know the truth.
No but by reading your responses you certainly do. And for that I am truly sorry. I never intended to be any part of your hatred or to occupy so much as a single particle of your mind.
Thank You gozo, but in truth this is more about this man's irrational hatred of me for some perceived ill against a man he does not know. He is not trying to justify anything but his provokation and belittlement of me. A goal I assure carries no weight as his words have far too often been of little use to anyone here, beyond his expression of his own personal misery. He sees me as some threat when in truth I am no threat to anyone here. I will defend myself to be certain and I will be wrong. But I will not stand by idly and allow such a piss poor example of common decency to slander me with suppositions and insinuations that are quite clear throughout his posts here and elsewhere to me. Again if I was so opposed to Al for his attack on my family, parenting skills and my personal past then why have I not reported him for the exact same things. Because I do not value the opinion of a man like him and even if I did I would merely count it a loss of friendship (assuming I would have been such prior to this battery of personal degradation) and walk away.
There have been far too many wrongs done on both sides and the cost to human life likewise on both sides has been far too high. But the only solution of any value to any of the Hamas or their supporters is the complete erradication of an entire nation. This is not justifiable. If you neighbour constantly did to you what the nations surrounding Israel have done for 60 years you may find your good will slightly at odds with your reactions to these blatant terrorist attacks. Especially when it is children who are being buried by their parents. Again there is no right in any of the innocent deaths but the removal of Hamas and all murderous sects is going to happen one way or another. They will continue to hide amongst the locals and use them as human shields to gain some sort of attention to their 'plight.' How many times have the Israelis settled on a cease fire only to have the entire mess begin again?
There is no right to any land in reality. It is akin to two fleas arguing over who owns the dog. The Palestinians could likely have found peace if not for the political and ethnic cleansing required by the nations surrounding Israel. History is not written only in the West and I do not use the television as an appropriate view of current events.
What about the Israeli children who have to face countless threats from mortars and suicide bombers? Oh yes I forgot they are inhuman in those lands, no more than rabid dogs that need to be exterminated by the loving people who are just trying to live in peace. Hamas are involved in global issues of terror and not only in Gaza, so this speaks very negatively upon their virtuous goals.
It is retaliation not instigation. Israel has enough to worry about without intentionally drawing the fire of the world every day. But they have been under assault for the entirety of their existence as a nation from those who wish nothing more than to see them erradicated.
If Hamas did not have such a volatile presence in Gaza then likely the repercussions from their attacks would fall elsewhere. It is sad for the true innocents but no less sad than it is for the local Israelis who must face this every day for the past 60 years. When you continuously poke a bear is it any wonder really when it turns and bites your hand off?
Well to best effectuate the return of my friends to my list I am going to bump this once again before the meds take me back to la la land. Oh the burning disgrace and leakage from my injured eye... Oh well with any luck they can pry the stubborn thing from my overly hard head this time or book me for surgery if all else fails.
