RE: Why do people threaten to leave CS?

wave Hi, Joanne. (Just conversing about it, so don't get mad.)

RE: Is this the end of us.......?

We didn't figure it was, Lethal. Or at least, I didn't. Hence the cheeky response. wine hug

RE: Is this the end of us.......?

I always try to shine light into the dark. It doesn't always work, but I try. As do you...and good to see it again. Missed you. And I miss the bedouin pic of you. It was cool.

And I knew I could tease you about that...you've always had a cool sense of humor, too. wine

RE: Is this the end of us.......?

laugh laugh How are you doing, Mike? wave

Glad to see you're closer to having a face again...looks like it's almost done being born. tongue laugh

RE: Is this the end of us.......?

And nobody bashed you. It was pointed out that you misread some posts, and it was suggested that reading glasses might help with that issue. That was not bashing, the person was sincere in her suggestion.

It's all too easy to misconstrue someone's intention in this format because of the lack of facial expression and tone of voice, and perhaps even because of English not being one's first language, no matter how well one speaks it.

RE: Is this the end of us.......?

Agreed. Many aren't willing to relocate, but enjoy the forums and talking to our friends here. And feel that because of those friendships, it's not a waste of time. If I do nothing more than make friends through online dating sites, it was still worth joining them. And it's never a waste of time to open a door. Nobody can walk through one that's closed.

So if you feel it's not working for you, leave. But don't tell others they should as well.

RE: alone in sioux falls

Welcome to CS. wave Hang out in the forums and you might make some new friends. We might not be local to you, but there are some really great people on here and you can make friends you'd never meet otherwise. I have, and I may never get to meet many of them in person, but I still enjoy the friendships I've made with people around the world and across the country. wine

RE: Why do people threaten to leave CS?

Yes, hence the joke. Good one, too, Snuggs. laugh laugh laugh

RE: Profile Writing

Say what some of your interests are, please. I hate it when someone says "I'd like to find someone with similar interests" and I have to wonder "to what?!"

RE: Profile Writing

thumbs up I was going to add that one as Tip #3d. laugh

RE: do you think a relationship will last?

Some will, some won't, but we live in hope, for without hope all is lost. I surely hope my next relationship will be my last and will last a very long time, but there is never a guarantee of that. And if it doesn't, I will take the risk again. wine

RE: Why do people threaten to leave CS?

Thank you, Vixen. Good to know that when I'm not paying attention, someone has my back. hug

And if I'd seen this before I made my post, I would have just quoted it and backed it up. sigh laugh

RE: Why do people threaten to leave CS?

I haven't done so yet. Hence, still here and though not actively seeking, not closing doors either. Sorry to cause confusion, that was a future statement of possibility, not a current statement of fact. hug

RE: Ladies, what do you like your men to wear to bed?

His smile. very happy And I promise to make it grow bigger. grin

RE: It's time to draw a line in the sand

I have always preferred robust, hardy red wines. Preferably a bit fruity like Sangria, or Lambrusco, though I do love a good Pinot Noir or Cabernet Sauvignon as well. Though there are some white wines I like, mostly rieslings. And I do like the blush wines like White Zinfandels.

RE: Are we doomed?

Then perhaps you need someone mental. laugh j/k wink

I think we're doomed to be attracted to the same types of people over and over again unless we seek to discover why and change it within ourselves. Then we grow and change, and can seek healthier relationships.

RE: :(

thumbs up Agreed. Some sites don't allow sideways pics...a policy I'd like to see implemented here. And it might explain some of your lack of response. I'm not going to communicate with anyone whose pic makes my neck hurt to see them.

RE: Why do people threaten to leave CS?

That, or because I've found a good, solid love and my life is moving on in positive directions that leave me no time to remain on here, would be the two reasons that I would post such a thread.

I agree that those who do so to have others beg them to stay are just seeking attention. And I never beg anyone to stay. I wish them luck, and say good-bye.

RE: Can poeple ever fall inlove again like their frist love?

First love is innocent and sweet, poignant, and something we remember forever. For some few and fortunate people, it's also their only love, and they are able to grow and change together. For most of us, it's a love we will always remember fondly, but will never be able to repeat, for the ending of it leaves its mark, and we are never that innocent again.

Can you love deeply again? Oh, yes, and often better later in life because you've learned lessons along the way and know more of what it takes to make and break relationships. You also know yourself better, for you have grown and/or changed through your trials in life. Hopefully both, for unless there has been growth within, you have nothing more to offer than you did before.

I have loved deeply several times in my life. Two of them I married, and one had a journey to make that isn't mine to join him on yet. I believe there is at least one more such love to happen in my life yet; the deepest, healthiest, and best ever. wine

RE: Today's thought..............

Amen, Pat.

People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime...but always for a purpose. wine

RE: Its a newbie's Birthday today

Happy Birthday, and welcome to CS. wave handshake happy birthday

RE: Do you believe in the profit Nostradamus

And yes, Vixen, there are many who have written their interpretations of Nostradamus' predictions, and many are in question as to what they referred. I do agree with those who believe that Obama is the one spoken of as "the charismatic leader who would rise from the East to destroy the West".

There are things we can change and things we can't. Some things are meant to be, and will happen no matter how we try to prevent them. A combination of destiny and free will.

RE: Do you believe in the profit Nostradamus

thumbs up Possibilities and probabilities...amazing thing, really, this life.

What I keep in mind is not to worry about it. I'm a spiritual being on a human journey, and ultimately that's the most important thing, for to spirit I will eventually return regardless. I don't fear that.

RE: Do you believe in the profit Nostradamus

Yes, but without knowing exactly what's coming, it's hard to be prepared. All I can do is prepare my mind, body and spirit to be cleared of negativity and ready to leap to a higher level. I'm striving towards that with much that I am doing.

If disasters strike and technology is lost, we will have to adjust to that, won't we? I'm prepared to live off the Earth if I must. And it will be a big adjustment for all of us...but easier for those who live in more rural areas and live closer to the land than those who don't.

RE: Do you believe in the profit Nostradamus

Agreed, BC. And there is much predicted about the role of humans and how we will survive these times of change. There's a major belief that there are some who will make an evolutionary jump to being more spiritual and of a higher vibration of energy, and that those who can't make that leap are dying off now or will die. Hence the rise in deaths from cancer, etc, in those who are in their 40s and 50s.

RE: The end of Capitalism as we know it...The future or RepRap: What do you want to build today?

I don't know, but it would be interesting to have this and find out. It sounds intriguing, to say the least. Rather than looking to find something to suit your tastes, you could make anything yourself. Cool!
