I was talking about stuff in general, but now some of you have mentioned personal things, it's made me think perhaps I could sell my wedding and engagement rings, my eternity ring maybe I would keep.
Bagelo! You throw out anything that hasn't been worn in a year? I would have practically nothing to wear if I did that!
Two elderly women were out driving in a large car, both could barely see over the dashboard. As they were cruising along, they came to an intersection. The stoplight was red, but they just went on through. The woman in the passenger seat thought to herself "I must be losing it. I could have sworn we just went through a red light."
After a few more minutes, they came to another intersection and the light was red again. Again, they went right through. The woman in the passenger seat was almost sure that the light had been red but was really concerned that she was losing it.! She was getting nervous.
At the next intersection, sure enough, the light was red and they went on through. So, she turned to the other woman and said, "Mildred, do you know that we just ran through three redlights in a row? You could have killed us both!" Mildred turned to her and said, "Damn, am I driving?"
I would like to web cam with someone to be sure they are who is in the photo if there is one. Then a phone call is good, to hear the voice and how they talk to you.
Then if it is agreeable to both parties agree to meet, at a cafe is good, a fairly short date is best in case either one is not comfortable. That is assuming you live fairly near.
Oh your good, all but two of the kitchen drawers have kitchen things in them and there are five in all! .....
I'll let you into a stress secret, I keep chipped or cracked china for when I really need to let off steam and put a peice in a carrier bag (I don't need a mess to clear up) take it outside with the hammer and smash it to bits, then calmly throw it in the bin. It works a treat every time, I just think of whoever is doing my head in and voila!
Do you think it's just a woman thing, hanging on to stuff?
You will be pleased to hear I have filled up the bins again and will be filling up the car to go to the dump again this afternoon! So I think I am making progress.
But there has to be a reason for this behaviour, or am I just more disturbed than even I thought.....
Hello to me, thinking I should have called this thread, Siren's Diary!
Ok so I messed up and can't get another ticket for the show, which is such a shame because my friend is very talented and I will miss seeing this performance!
But I have booked a table for dinner, but can't tell you where as it's a surprise!
Going to have to stick a pin in the map for somewhere to go on Saturday as inspiration is sadly lacking right now.
I think it is because of the daunting task ahead of me today to clear up!!!!!!
I am having what seems to be an annual clear out of the home and find I am not very good at it at all. I am sure a lot of it is not wanting to let go of my past, but I have moved on in so many ways, I'm not sure why. In the past I have had to sell furniture I was very attached to because my ex wanted us to move abroad.
Do any of you have trouble parting with things?
Or if you are someone who can keep things to a minimum, please let me know how you do it......!
Sitting on the side of the road waiting to catch speeding drivers, a state trooper sees a car puttering along at 22 mph. He thinks to himself, "This driver is as dangerous as a speeder!"
So he turns on his lights and pulls the driver over. Approaching the car, he notices that there are five elderly ladies - two in the front seat and three in the back, wide-eyed and white as ghosts. The driver, obviously confused, says to him, "Officer, I don't understand. I was going the exact speed limit. What seems to be the problem?" The trooper trying to contain a chuckle, explains to her that 22 was the route number, not the speed limit. A bit embarrassed, the woman grinned and thanked the officer for pointing out her error.
"But before you go, Ma'am, I have to ask, is everyone in this car OK?
Scouser, I have not seen a particularly hard nosed insensitive person in here so far, fairly straightforward I would have said of you and intelligent.
Yes I have insecurities, but only my very close friends would know I hope and of course now you, but you won't be telling will you....lol
I tend to put my head up, smile and try to walk tall with confidence, seems to work, only trouble is I get told I look stuck up! Till someone gets to know me that is, can't win can you?
Why is it so hard to clear out and move on?

I would have practically nothing to wear if I did that!
Maybe I should go shopping for myself....
