Change

---- IMAGE REMOVED because photobucket.com no longer allows embedded images ----
Our conversations may lead us nowhere
As we talk of change but our actions are never enough
So many times our trying only left us a trail of regrets
Leaving only something to think about, but we just try to forget
And still we search for love inside of little tiny drops of rain
But somewhere behind those clouds awaits a much brighter day
If we could only open up our minds and follow our hearts design
Than could our compassion love this world as we awaken our eyes

"You must be the change you wish to see in the world"

Learning To Fly

Embedded image from another site

With the determination of an eagle I stand upon the highest cliff
Feeling the wind beneath my wings as I await for thermal lift
My eyes are focussed on the world below, a gentle breeze against my face
As the morning sun consumes the dark I claim this day and all its grace
At the speed of light I freely fall miles above the earth
With my faith flying above the clouds and like a jet my engines burst
My spirit breaks the barriers of sound over shadowed decades of pain
Above empires of decadence I reign through greener fields and grassy plains
Beneath the dirt the coals of hell are rising to burn me from the sky
I may never leave this world behind, but I'm still learning how to fly

Redemption Poem

Embedded image from another site

We marched on through the valleys in the name of democracy
I laid many soldiers to rest and may they always find peace
In fear we battled armored legions of blood thirsty men
And when I think of their families it always brings me sadness
As I wonder who is my enemy when in war we are bound to protect
But in this great devotion of freedom we also seem to neglect
Humanity and compassion isn't there any left inside of me
Because my better parts I cannot find only whats broken and beat
Sleepless nights I sit beside my silence filled with sorrows over again
Then by the light of my Almighty God, He gave me a mighty pen
And on empty canvas my heart pours out
then from my eyes the ink smears
How many nights have I wasted justifying those fleeting tears
Then I brought my feelings to this corner and to my recollect
I expressed how I felt and in return good people Ive met
I read from a hundred poets and I absorbed every word
Slowly we reach our destination sometimes we're thrown a curve
Some lightly write with humor and some write from true romance
Some write from within darkness, but in the end there's a beautiful chance
That in this world we are not alone or maybe there is something worse
But surely we are all connected by our souls in this vast universe
"Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery
None but ourselves can free our mind"
Have no fear of negative energy, because negativity won't stop the time
Write whatever your heart desires it doesn't matter if it rhymes
Encourage one another and together we'll ascend to new heights
"So wont you help me write
These words of freedom
'Cause all I ever had
Are these redemption poems"
These words are freedom

The Jessetradamus Prophecies (Mr Cafe Challenge)

In 2015 an American company called Ford will market a vehicle
The parts will be bought from Canada and they will be assembled in Mexico
The stereo and navigation systems will come from Japan
It will be powered by gasoline from The Middle East
And they will market it to middle class caucasians
Thus creating an even greater depression

Heart Shaped Grave

Embedded image from another site

I can still feel your touch caress my skin
Memories trapped in picture frames, the taste of your lips
I thought I could leave this love we had far behind
But the remains of what we use to be are sewn into my mind
As I try to bury all this hurt somewhere deep and softly away
By nailing a broken splintered cross into my heart shape grave
Yesterday was just a dream that I let slip away
Today I hide behind this camouflage beneath my self inflicted pain
If it hurts to love than you could not hate me enough
Tearing through its innocence until nothing is left but dust
To give someone so much emptiness as a gift
You would fill the box with lies then wrap it up with promises
But for what its worth I am grateful to have seen the smile of your face
And so I thank you for always reminding me why I just stay away

Doing Time

Embedded image from another site

Shackled to a couple of dead men then thrown off from a boat
The River Styx is so polluted with lost and abandonned souls
Screaming bullets riddle the twighlight piercing holes into the night
Incarceration within a bubble ready to burst inside my mind
The language barrier thickens as communication begins to die
Am I being disassembled, disconnected, sent to a desert and classified
Because I am nothing but an empty shell a former image of myself
Just give my hands a loaded bible and I will shoot my way through hell
Where prayers echo into the infinite, but are as shallow as a cell
So sit upon your angry chair where noone cares to hear the stories that you tell
The Deciever likes to whisper the wrong choice into my ear
But I believe remorse leads to redemption so I shall not fear
You see I am not frightened by darkness and I am not afraid of heights
I was nurtured in a dark womb and from birth Ive been reaching for the sky
Peripheral vision is no illusion, because I can see you by my side
Just give me the stripes that I came for and let me do my time

Because Im dying to get what I came for

...and I am ready to die to keep what is mine

My Melody

Embedded image from another site

Her body glistens in the light
I've longed to play with her all night
I pick her up and hold her steady
Take a deep breath, we're both ready
Anticipation grows to show her what I've learned
From deep within my heart my passion burns
I gently grab her neck and pull her near
My right hand on her body the time is here
As I trace her curves with my fingers
The smell of sweat begins to linger
Slowly now I plug it in
A moment of silence as we begin
I hold her steady, we both are ready
I begin to sing she begins breathing heavy
The sounds and feelings grow more immense
The movements become more intense.
She screams and screams from love in motion
When my heart stops as the door swings opens
My mom walks in and with a frown
Says, "Your guitar is too loud, please turn it down"

About this poem:
The twentieth anniversary of Only one of the coolest bands ever "Weezer". They were a big influence for me then and now with my music playing- writing, and poetry. The song below always reminds me of good times because Ive been playing in my garage since I was ten. Wow twenty years, I never really accepted I was getting older until I heard Pearl Jam followed by Led Zeppelin on the classic rock stations.cheers

"In The Garage"
I've got the Dungeon Master's Guide.
I've got a 12-sided die.
I've got Kitty Pryde
And Nightcrawler too
Waiting there for me.
Yes I do, I do.

I've got posters on the wall,
My favorite rock group, KISS.
I've got Ace Frehley.
I've got Peter Criss
Waiting there for me.
Yes I do, I do

In the garage, I feel safe.
No one cares about my ways.
In the garage where I belong.
No one hears me sing this song.
In the garage.

I've got an electric guitar.
I play my stupid songs.
I write these stupid words
And I love every one
Waiting there for me.
Yes I do, I do.

In the garage, I feel safe.
No one laughs about my ways.
In the garage where I belong.
No one hears me

No one hears me sing this song.

Nanay

Mother within my heart you made a home
That was built by love where you placed a throne
To love God first and the rest will come
Then foundation was laid for your youngest son
While father taught me bravery and sacrifice
It was you that gave me courage and dreams that fly
Far beyond anyone could hope
But your belief in me gave so much more
The joy of your laughter bleeds from my eyes
Sometime I wish I could turn back the hands of time
To that first twenty third day of May
To hold your hand and I would say
Mother I love you and I always will
I'll make mistakes and sometimes stand still
But please be patient because I will do my best
To make you proud so that you may rest
