A Long Grey Road

Saturday 4.30am phone call.......
Saturday 6.30 am phone call.......

Saturday 9 am it starts

My heart is heavy
My heart is sad

Sky is grey reflecting how I feel
Driving a long grey road on automatic
A journey I do not want to take
A destination I do not want to reach

What will I do?
I have no choice
Saturday twice, again Sunday
will it be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday...........until it stops?

It stops Monday 17.10
My friend -
Snezhanks Petrova Dimitrova dies

She is at peace now after 30 months of fighting
We have fought together at great cost with the help of others.
They know the price paid by all in keeping a great woman alive.

What can I say?

No-one that met her was not affected by her peace and goodwill.

Rest in peace now spdspd62

Always in my thoughts

Anne frank....

Dead people receive more flowers than the living ones because regret is stronger than gratitude.

In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart.

The good news is that you don’t know how great you can be!

All you need to know

Democrats constantly try to convince you that Trump is an 'existential threat' to the world  yet, time and again they have approved Trump's massive military budget. You don't do that if you truly believe he is an 'existential' threat.

The truth is the only existential threat Trump provides, is to Democrat's power to which they feel entitled comfort

A Broken Heart

My son broke my heart twice when I heard him say:

(he was five) pointing to a man over 6 feet he said, "I want to be that tall when I grow up."

Truthfully I don't remember what I told him but I do remember my thoughts were crass as in "NO chance in hell, there is no heigth in this Italian family, we are all shrimps" I remember my heart broke when I heard him say he wanted to be tall.

He was once married for ten years. One evening he was over with the news on about a Mother that just drowned her daughter. My son who has wanted kids all his life, mentioned if there was a God, how cruel could he be to give that killing Mother a daughter but no child to him. That broke my heart.

Twice my son broke my heart.

However, last yr he married a gal with a son and it's like he won the lotto. He is getting to be a Dad and it WARMS my heart.

and neither Trump or Obama had a thing to do with it.

Tea for U

Darjeeling tea grows in India near the Himalayas between 600 and 2250 m altitude. Harvest is by hand only and productivity is much lower than in other tea growing regions. Darjeeling is a protected geographical specification.
The first harvest is called "first flush", the second, well, "second flush". For not becomming too much confused.
About the grade of leaves and buds in the tea inform abbreviations:
many leave tips and buds: FTGFOP, find out urself.
FTGOP, TGFOP, TGOF. The last one could mean: time goes on/off.

More tea comes as a blend called Ceylon-Assam.

Well, find out urself how tea becomes black tea: harvest, make flabby, roll, ferment, dry, sort out and pack.
In the end tea smells and tastes like hay, gras and wood.

And it can contain potentially harmful substances like anthrachinon, PAK (polycyclic aromatic carbohydrates), pyrrolizidinalkaloids or petrol substances.

But every citizen of the featheral depublic of germany drinks 20 l black tea annually.
Though me none.
So u 40.

An African Delicacy!

Today I bring you a delicacy of true African cuisine! A mutton dish better than the best rib, roasted on a bed of charcoal. A Baked Sheep Head.

Yes, you read it right! No word play here. A real sheep’s head. It contains a lot of meat and is relatively cheap. Most butchers around here can supply you with a well cleaned head. It is so easy to prepare; even a man can do it! laugh

When you get home, inspect the head and remove any hair still on it. I use a cutthroat to ‘shave’ it. Then saw the head across the top into two halves, but leave lower jaw intact. I use a garden saw to do this. You could ask the butcher to do it as well.

Flap the two halves open and clean out the nose section (easy, if it is not already done), but leave the brains in place. Another delicacy on toast - or just as it is.

Push the two halves together and clamp with a skewer. I use three bended canvas needles for this.

Dampen the head and rub some course salt on it. I normally sprinkle some barbeque spice at this stage too.

Preheat the oven to 160º C and bake for 4 hours.

Enjoy. Mine is only going into the oven now. You can eat it hot or cold. I prefer it cold. It tastes like something between a roasted rib and a sheep neck.

Here in Africa, women are not allowed to eat the tongue; it makes them talk too much, they say. conversing

Eating the brains has a side effect though.

I find that if I share it with some female company, they mill around me for days and follow me in a line where ever I go; bleating like … Oh shut up, Catfoot!
rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

Enjoy your day too!

Where is love hideing?

Everybody keeps saying when you stop looking, love will find you!! dunno
Call me a cynic, but I am seriously starting to doubt that!
After making the mistake of marrying my best friend (Which seemed like the right thing to do at the time) doh When we split I lost my wife and best friend in one hit! So naturally I took time out from the girlfriend scene, to get my sh*t together.
I seem to be great at making new friends, but can't seem to get over the great void to meeting that special someone to share the more closer times.
I think one of my biggest problems is shyness when it comes to a girl I fancy, the thoughts race through my brain like a Grand Prix race circuit, but my lips stay shut as if superglue was put on them. help frustrated

It's The Thought That Counts...NOT Always!

I'm NOT complaining...I just want to whine a little bitlaugh

We've just had a little Christmas party at work...then we had that "Secret Santa" thing. The rule was you pick a name and buy him/her a gift not less than 15JDs, that's about $21. Well, I was excited about it and put a lot of thoughts on my present. I picked the name of my vegetarian colleague and bought him a wooden sculptor of an Eagle worth 25JDs and I can tell from his reaction that he's very happy with what he got and rightly guessed that it was from melaugh

I had hard time unwrapping the present that had my name, it was tightly wrapped with lots of sticky tapes and bows... really excited about it but got a little disappointed when it was finally revealed : A Coffe Mug worth 2 JDsyay doh doh I had hard time guessing who's the meanie who gave it to me...rolling on the floor laughing OK, my first reaction was disappointment, it probably showed on my facelaugh but hey, the mug says: SUPERMOMwow laugh I gave her a hug and a nice "thank you" for that cheap but lovely mug...

One of the guy was obviously disappointed...he got 3 gift voucher from Mothercare worth exactly 5jds each. Why would one give a man, a young single man gift vouchers from Mothercare ? A shop full of children's clothingdoh laugh

Well, they say it's the thought that counts but sometimes we can't help feeling disappointed when we feel that they didn't put a lot of thought when giving you a presentdoh laugh

Have a great day/night everyoneteddybear heart wings
