MIRROR

The mirror of the mind
like life's wheel of Time
of day's and night's breath
of tears moment shines..
You never know what is the next
you never know what is the best.
You always guess,you always try
you always mind if worths the try..
And light up the next to you
and mind the step in front of you....

Life Lesson From the Sea

While walking the beach today, I learned a few lessons. I collect sea glass and old collectibles, that wash up on shore. I find it very relaxing and adventurous! It isn't always easy to find these treasures, it takes patience and an eye to spot out these beauties, that could be very small, or large. At times, I it can take me 30min to find one treasure. But, then there are times the perfect sea glass is right under my nose. My first lesson I realized today, is when I found a piece of sea glass, that wasn't fully formed into a good sea glass. I decided to throw it back in the ocean, for 2 reasons. One, I didn't want anyone to step on it, two, the Sea needed more time to shape the glass, to perfection. As I threw it into the ocean, I looked down, and right before my eyes, was the perfect sea glass! I learned at that moment, the truth and example of giving back. When you give back, you get back, tenfold. My second lesson I learned from that moment, sometimes, you don't have to actively seek out the right person, job, or friendship. Sometimes, it may be right in front of you; that it will come, when you are not looking for it. How wonderful it is to learn the importance of life's meaning, from nature!

The Trumpet Angel

'Stay your hand!,oh mighty Angel
For wisdom falls on a dry land'
A land, where mortals strut and
strain against the winds of time..
Mere clay that stands errect and
shakes his fists at the heavens, and
curses as though diety was his debtor..
Yet stay your hand Trumpet Angel..hold
back the the four winds of destruction!
Man who will drink the full measure of
his violence may yet repent..
He will slaughter..He will kill, and
innocent blood his drink of desire..
Oh, that he turns his eyes towards
trancendent rays of divine light..
Oh, that the that truth would burn
through the blackness of the abyss..
The earth groans within itself, and the
sun yearns for the morning star..
But look to the heavens oh man..
For there stands an Angel on the
precipice of time with outstretched arm..
And with the voice of Eternity utters this
warning..
'Take heed ye inhabitants of the earth''
That for every falling star, and for every
passing shadow shall be a strike of the clock,
and a reminder that man who chases a foolish
vanity shall once again..become dust, and all
dust shall be gathered for judgement!

People Pottery (s/c)

people pottery

kindness is a cup
love the wine preserved
from centuries

hands pour the wine
of love into your cup
people made of clay

God pours the wine
divine into the soul
life is imparted
to quench
to satisfy
day by day

Forever live

I've watched the river time go by
Moments today and yesterday
The sacred things we barely see
Aloved ones touch or word or wish

Moments alive from long ago
A laugh from fifty years ago
Someone so vital gone to God
How can this be how can this be

The child's mind ere it dwells in me
Seeing things pass how can this be

The spirit speaks encouragements
All that was good, forever lives
All that's been good crafted by God
Eternally alive alive

Whatsprings forth from the heart of God
Form changes essence still alive

What would you have me do with this
The question that I put to God

And this is what he says to me
So quietly, so quietly

Slow down, be still and take it in
The little unimportant things
These are the emeralds in your cup

A word, a touch, a golden look
From heart to heart
Treasures alive

Each of these things
They resonate
With life and power beyond time

Put down the book
Turn off the news
Forget the store
Remember love

Such moments keep
Forever live.

Where are you ?

As time travels down that one way path
History left behind can sometimes outlast
Procuring memories of those who would surpass
Diamond words sculptured from ancient glass

The recent passing was the trigger required
Many poets here had long retired
Whatever their reasons their actions inspired
Their words are sought and often desired

I'd often think where did they go
Their ink unrivalled with their know
Individual artists who could sew
Silken words to make them grow

There was gentleman Bill and his English ways
A literary genius with his articulate glaze
Passionate Odette and her desire
Often setting the corner into a blazing fire

Lady B and her worldly views
Beautiful expressions she'd often choose
Poet number 1 and his mastery
Time stood still while he was he

Madtat was insane i loved his ink
His passion undeniable his depth in sync
Jazzy and her obscure ways
Left me floundering for days and days

Darkness shaded Jesse's life
Out of the depths he shared his strife
And like so many healed some scars
So they may dance upon the stars

Ancient Bullmen the gifted one
You inspired me with your words of fun
Elo and the way you express
The depth was just bottomless

MC and your intelligent views
Honest to the point you'd always choose
Socrates and his love of all
His beautiful words I do recall

There have been so many along the way
Who have commented or had their say
Let their words do their thing
Triggering emotions in hearts that sing

All along its been that way
Expressing and healing with stories that say
Opening doors and lightening the load
As you venture along the Poets road......

AUTUMN

And autumn’s inescapable, and she
Arrived already, stands by window sill.
And looks how trees are shedding their leaves,
How before eyes they’re getting slowly thin
When breeze is turning over their leaves...

The birch is so ashamed of nakedness.
She as a bashful artist’s model sits.
While autumn-sculptor puddles half-asleep,
Not minding maiden’s beauty and appeal!

Fear Not

I do not fear the raging
sea with its thunderous
crash of waves..
My mind stays in perfect
peace throughout my alloted
days~
I flee not from the face of
man for fear brings a snake
In boldness do I stand my
ground where others would
surely quake~
At the voice of thunder I
do not hide, nor can lighting
change this heart inside~
And fear with all its thousand
faces I unmask through heavenly
graces~
Surely death would make me swallow
my spit as it taunts me from its
morbid pit~
And corpses chant dirges that I
might lose my faith
But my spirit is lifted to a
higher place~
Yes, in this world of woe I might
stumble and fall
But through the love of God I
conquer all~

I Dreamed I Was Dying Last Night

I dreamed I was dying last night,
Making will for my son by my side.
I was seeing as whole what were once
Just some trivial sights for my eyes.
Little bird with its wings my brow fanned,
Sun set down behind hills to have rest,
Neither pain did I feel of some kind,
Neither vision or mist covered eyes,
Neither sleepiness weighed down my head,
Neither sorry was I for my self.
But I felt I could cry outloud:
- Wait, oh day, cut not short, please, my life!
And I worried: they mourned my demise,
Boy, I thought, what a shame, do not die!
Thus in deference such and distrust
Was supposed I to take leave of life.
While I watched people standing in rows
How I wished to get right to their thoughts!
Saw that friends same as foes thought me high,
Grown up men and a child wept alike…
As I dreamed I was dying last night
Death crept up to my bed, woke me up.

Islander Eyes........

Distracted by my thoughts
Your presence did engage
The ease of your words
As if starting a new page
A tall black man
In your twilight years
Proud of your family
No scars from your fears
Boats and the railways
Absorbed your life
Fifty years of marriage
With your beautiful wife
Recently laid to rest
With a tomb of your design
It was always your say
You are the leader of your kind
In your footsteps they follow
Rugby league in their veins
Success in their journey
Success is their gain
''Twas a lovely encounter
And took me by surprise
There was love In his life
There was love in his eyes...........
