The first steps towards FINALLY getting Trump's tax returns
It's well known, that every presidential candidate in recent US history has released their taxreturns to allow scrutiny of proper procedure and also knowledge of income sources.
However, Trump has repeatedly refused to do so.
Since the Republicans controlled all 3 branches of government, little was done about this.
Now, since the Democrats control the House of Representatives, this returns a better balance in power
and a return to less blind eyeing and better scrutiny.
There is now a movement initiated by Democrats to finally get Trump's tax returns.
Here is recent progress towards that direction.

The IRS is supposed to be in charge of taxes and reviews. Trump's financial records were already cleared for him to take office.
I think that if congress has nothing better to keep wasting our time and dollars on, maybe they should all resign so we can have a better chance to get a real congress in there, instead of the circus they've become.
They won't be able to read it any way. The tax laws and amounts are capped after a certain amount with no disclosure or explanation after the top.
Like all other citizens, U.S. presidents enjoy this protection of their privacy. Since the early 1970s, however, most presidents have chosen to release their returns publicly.
That's right, a presidential candidate MAY release his personal financial information if he so desires, but such an action is completely VOLUNTARY!

You can rest assured that President Trump has not committed any tax crimes or the IRS or state tax authorities would already have prosecuted. So I'm sorry to have to disappoint, but as with the 176 other pathetic attempts the Democrats have made to undo the choice of the voters in 2016, this one is doomed to be yet another catastrophic failure.
Someday the Democrats will learn that the way to gain political power is to WIN ELECTIONS, not to try to undo the will of the electorate and duly conducted elections by chasing their tails from one dead end to another.

After over 2 years of the most extensive investigations of any president there is NOT ONE IOTA of evidence of ANY crime committed by President Trump or ANYONE in connection with his campaign or his presidency known to either you nor any other member of the general public.
The reason that it is the Democrats who are stealing President Trump's tax returns and not law enforcement is that law enforcement cannot get them without a reason to believe a crime might have taken place. Congress can investigate anything without ANY EVIDENCE AT ALL. And that is exactly what they are doing. Getting access to private information without any evidence to believe a crime was committed is called a WITCH HUNT. And that is exactly what this is.
The Democrats scored ZERO on their "Russian collusion" witch hunt so now they are fishing to find ANYTHING, ANYTHING AT ALL, they can find about President Trump's financial or personal life so they won't look like such evil power grabbing communists.
Unfortunately, its too late for the Democrats. They are making their legacy worse and worse.
When will the Democrats learn that the way to achieve power is to WIN ELECTIONS like President Trump did, not to try to thwart and overturn elections and the will of the American people.
Russia has been trying to interfere with our elections for at least 4 decades. What is new about that.
That's what countries do their enemies, they try to interfere and destabilize their political and economic systems.
The part that you don't seem to grasp is that it doesn't have a thing to do with President Trump. After years of exhaustive investigations neither you nor any other member of the general public know of any evidence that President Trump did ANYTHING with the Russians having to do with attempting to interfere with the 2016 presidential election.
You are trying to parlay the obvious fact that the Russians WOULD LIKE TO interfere with our elections and have been trying to do so for decades into an indictment of President Trump. You do this even knowing that there is NO EVIDENCE connecting President Trump or anyone else in his campaign to any activity related to interfering with the election. That makes you part of the problem in America, not part of the solution. You are a BS salesman who cares more about smearing President Trump based on NOTHING than you do about the welfare of your own country.
You also conveniently omit the fact that the intelligence agencies concluded that the Russians were NOT SUCCESSFUL in changing the outcome of the 2016 presidential election. So THAT CASE IS CLOSED.
What should be investigated is OBAMA'S attempt to interfere with the Israel's 2015 prime minster parliamentary election. This was not the usual infiltration of our enemies elections it was an infiltration of our ALLY'S election. Obama should be subpoenaed to appear before Congress to explain this outrageous betrayal of one of our closest allies.

The State Department paid hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxpayers grants to an Israeli group that used the money to build a campaign to oust Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in last year’s Israeli parliamentary elections, a congressional investigation concluded Tuesday.
Some $350,000 was sent to OneVoice, ostensibly to support the group’s efforts to back Israeli-Palestinian peace settlement negotiations. But OneVoice used the money to build a voter database, train activists and hire a political consulting firm with ties to President Obama’s campaign — all of which set the stage for an anti-Netanyahu campaign, the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations said in a bipartisan staff report.
In one stunning finding, the subcommittee said OneVoice even told the State Department’s top diplomat in Jerusalem of its plans in an email, but the official, Consul General Michael Ratney, claims never to have seen them.
He said he regularly deleted emails with large attachments — a striking violation of open-records laws for a department already reeling from former Secretary Hillary Clinton’s handling of official government records.
