Beauty - or, those who cannot do, teach.
So this morning I tried a little, a very little, shea butter on my hair. It no longer looks like an exploded haystack but is a sleek and shining curtain. However you can see the comb marks
You'd think by now I would have cracked the secrets of effortless glamour. Those with photos make it look so easy.

I recommend the ole Prell shampoo, gets the roots out.
Also maybe condition it with pennzoil sae 10-40 oil, and any loose ends, spit on your hand, then smooth it onto the hair. Cool.
Whatever happened to the days when people put raw egg, watermelon juice, lawn fertilizer, or chicken gizzards on their hair for a healthier hair and scent?
Molly, washed my hair again today, and it says if I don't do anything horrible to it again it will behave beautifully. So far so good.
Kal, that pic was awesome. Thanks. And yeah I have heard thick hair can be a pain. Mine used to behave pretty well, except that it slid out of clips every chance it got, it only fairly recently decided what I need to look like is a dandelion.
Daniela, sounds like you have the mixture down to a fine art, which is as I suspected. There really are some beautiful manes of hair on CS.
Frisky, I will check with the Herbalario whether he carries either. but maybe after payday thanks!
Usha, noooooooooo, was this for the wedding? He messed your hair up for the wedding??
Blue, noted although the herbalario seems quite clued up :uhoh;
Red, I've not seen colours here, may need to order in. Not a lot of colours go with ginger, what do you recommend? Back in late punk I had a black forelock, I rather liked that
Serene, the trick is understanding the advice I'm given, normally we plan my haircuts in mime and I meekly take the cheapest of whatever products is pressed on me - usually mousse. But there are English-speaking stylists, I just have to track one down.
Berry - back in SA there was a product called Bob Martins which was designed to give your dog a healthy shiny coat, all the models took it and it was mildly miraculous. Probably based on Brewers yeast, mind, but BY has never had quite the same effect. No comments please about my cold nose.
Lou, I have tried it but it was a bit sticky and the next morning, good grief. Witch wig. (You should have seen me this morning, too) I don't usually like to wash my hair every day but I'd have to if I used that. The hot oil things seem quite effective at tamping the whole haystack down for a day or two.
Right now it looks okay. Saturday night, hair looking good, I'm on CS. What's wrong with this image?
Robrt, if I didn't know you so well I would suspect a gentle leg-pull going on.
As if you would.
IPO for a new business !

Z has kept a tactful distance from this blog, we met yesterday to check out the new DIY supermarket. He gave me a startled glance, but said nothing, so I asked pointblank what he thought. He said it was certainly tidier than usual.
Boring was the word I would have used, personally. Tidy hair is definitely boring.
50/50 new business venture.

Trumptrumptrumptrumptrumptrump boring, divisive, monotonous, AND POINTLESS. Not a single reader for or against will change their views by a hairsbreadth no matter how much bigotry is trumpeted but the ugliness and hate displayed in the comments are certainly changing the way members view each other, destroying casual banter, wrecking the place.
Mods – is this really what you want the blogs to be? Really? I'm posting this comment on every trumptrumptrumptrumptrump blog raised in the last week to make a point. Gee I'm sorry if it bores anyone.
Please. crying no more
