Registering a Product like a new tv

Recently I bought a big 65" TV that didn't work properly off a private person. He refunded my money right away. I had to pay for someone to come hang the bad TV and move my 55" then I had to pay them again to take the bad TV down and put the old TV back. I did.

So then I bought a new TV for my bedroom from Costco. It is now all set up. Funny thing is I like the TV turned on to fall asleep - I rarely watch the TV in my bedroom.

To register the TV I took a picture with my phone and texted it in. Handling a registration like that is new to me but I was electronically walked through - easy peasy.

Now to figure out the magic remote which I can talk to. Oh I forgot to mention the new TV has an Alexa living in her. Now there is conflict between the Alexa on the shelf and the one in the TV. The shelf Alexia has to move probably to my neighbors house.

The remotes I have in this house can be talked to. For me it is a challenge to remember to talk to it. I can see the talking feature to be useful for searching for a movie or a movie star. The other thing I keep forgetting, well actually I didn't even realize I had it is going to you tube on the tv. My grandson showed me that I can use the tv to watch. Funny I knew how to get to Netflix or Prime but I forget You tube until he showed me.

I'm out of the working world where I thought technology was just kicking my butt upside down and here I am in retirement just as dazed and confused butt HAPPY dammit - happy even if I don't understand everything. I'm surrounded by gadgets so much smarter than me, I don't need to be smart anymore just content.

I've also learned in retirement that gardening causes me to pay a whole lot more for my beloved veggies that I should just buy from a market. No gardening gadgets I guess.
