Sometimes, you just got to accept defeat and move on.

For the past three days, since Christmas Day, I have been dealing with something in my life, and today, I finally accepted defeat. It was quite good for the first few days. I guess with everything new, there is a period where everything is good. Where everything is perfect, and that you wouldn't want to change anything. Then, a few days in, you begin to wonder, if it's worth it. Worth the long nights, the lack of sleep. The rage inducing moments. and the moment where you go "Maybe I bit over more than I can chew".

"But Philipsen, what has made you think this?", I hear you ask..

Well.. I borrowed a 1000 piece puzzle off my sister. What puzzle, you might ask? Well.. This..

It's from the Netflix show Money Heist, and it's quite possibly the single most infuriating puzzle I have ever had the unfortunate honor - if you can call it that - to put together. At first, I was "Yeah, that? It'll be done in two days".. Fast forward to the third day, and I was halfway there (woooah.. Livin' on a prayer), and I was just looking at the pieces. I then decided to put it back into the box, and put it as far away as possible..

F this puzzle, man.. I wish to never see it again!

On a brighter note, Merry Christmas!

5 equal faces all dressed in red, no thankyou... lol
I wouldn't mind tackling a brain scrambling puzzle if the result was worth looking at. That thing surely isn't.
I bet you take it to a retirement village and return three day latter you would have a puzzle.
To quote Kenny Rodgers- You've got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, and when to walk away (I'm sure I missed a line, but you get the meaning).
I'm impressed that you got halfway there!
I would never have taken that apart. Nope it would rot on my table first.
If you got half you would have gotten the other half.thumbs up
I have a 2500 piece puzzle sitting missing one jig and made a frame and was going to urethane it a couple of times. Yet having the puzzle is sitting on a green back board half rounded on top of some un even bags boxes still missing one piece. When I move it to the table I'll use a rolling pin to reset the image and clean the dust and then look for the lost piece in another box or right down on the floor... hope my idea works never used poly urethane on a puzzle. I'm so close to hanging the art work...
When I finish my puzzle I will call it . rather large but late. missing right top corner jig. rather clean nor shine..

My daughter and her family buy a big puzzle every Christmas, then they put it together on Christmas day. They've done enough now that they hang them on the walls as Christmas decorations. I'm not positive how they hang them but they haven't fallen yet.
They make puzzle glue.
Yep I saw that glue. I also know that a puzzle that has been sitting since 95 must have a story.. It was hard to not let it go. Even harder to find time at that time.. Sets in right place when I get moving it will be done.
Since 95...hmmm I think I would just put some tempered glass over it and call it a table topper.
It would look good on a table, but I would cover it with something.
