I think the message has to do with individual freedom from government. I hope the concept and reality will endure.

It will never happen anyway, the world is ruled by the greedy, the stupid, and the inept, and perhaps you are right and that is how it should be. How awful if we were to look at anyone successful and think they were inspirational.
Now that's the key to the world's greater glory.
On her philosophy it doesn't apply to that category. She simply magnified the need for everyone to be productive instead of being lazy.
Now look around you. You live in a state much akin to California ruled by the liberals. Heck they encouraged you to be a lazy dole receiver. Do you wonder why?
Exceptionally said and very clear, her principles are all under the force of a very useful being. We have to use our strength to produce for ourselves . Only then, the world as a whole is good.
With that said: I find that principle you mention natural and somehow I think I'll be fine
if left without a penny almost anywhere in the world, i'd offer my help and
I think some would give me some bread in return

If and when we become incapable of sustaining our existence, I don't object to the necessity of providing for these people. Jesus taught to be that. However it's not a concept to manipulate the system for purposes of being unproductive and lazy. In the US, that concept gave birth to the Social Security system. It works well. It is an organization that pulls our contributions as working society, so that, note: so that when we become incapable if producing due to age and or accidents, we have something to fall back on. I'm retired and living through those efforts I've contributed. I'm not a dole recipient. As a matter of fact I am still working because of a choice. I couldn't do anything different.

What's is sad is, we're ruled by these incompetent and yet powerful leeches and, the core of truth and justice is completely thrown out the window. What does that leave ys? Hmmmmmnn, we're all dumb and taken by their spell.

Personally I believe that we are told to be humble because naturally we are not. People can be very selfish and arrogant.
I always believed that her fundamental philosophy is focused on this mind set. Objectivism is powerful. You set a goal. Outline how yo can achieve that end. The main point is to manifest that objective by working towards manifesting that purpose.
What's good for you is good for me attitude.

You have to realize however that the truideal of freedom is based on his principle. John Galt like Musk believes that the government must NOT CONTROL any enterprise to cripple them in their progressive practices of capitalism. Taxing is a tool of the government to function as allowed by the law but NEVER EVER INTERFERE with its lawful application of progress.
