Tomorrow is World Ocean Day.

We can do better!

Hi Luke

People don't seem to realize how serious this matter is and the devastating impact it has on marine life. So sad...

Hi cocheta..I totally agree with you....sadly humanity will eventually reap what they have sowed through neglect and lack of care...sigh what a legacy to leave behind for future generations wow
Agreed, recycling would help.thumbs up

Hi Cocheta,

You hit the nail on the head and living by the ocean for the majority of my life one can actually see how the ocean water's quality has deteriorated over the past 10 to 20 years. There is no other way to describe this tragedy but as 'sad'.moping And this is all the doing of the short sighted selfish 'beings' called man.sad flower
Hi Kitty, yip like most things its only a matter of time before the wheel has turned and then the guilty parties are the ones making the most racket and playing the victim.sad flower
and since the Tsunami in Japan all kind of trash still floating

all over the Pacific ocean
yeah I like the way you put it
we love the ocean as well and do every thing we can over here to keep it safe but the BIG BUT is are the big talkers doing any thing about it other than just talk

Nice blog Luke, tiz sickeningly shameful and selfish the total disregard much of mankind has towards nature. Typical human traits "think of ourselves and to hell with the consequences for future generations". Thankfully there are many people trying to help undo some of the damage, but far more people need to be aware of whats going on all over the planet, education plays a key role in such matters i think..cheers
Clint,
Plastic is an all round killer. Land and sea.sigh
sickeningly shameful and selfish the total disregard much of mankind has towards nature.

Hi Twazzle,

So very true.handshake cheers
Out of sight, out of mind. frustrated

It doesn't really work like that unfortunately Lukeon. sigh
Hi Luke
The only way I see it is that new plastic should carry such an high tax the people will be forced to recycle it.
dunno doh wave
Wow that's a great video Luke,
Will it ever be built Lets hope so. This is a great lecture about the same kind of projects. Its all about responsibility of designers and big corps.

With most problems in this world...it is not enough to talk about them......seems like it is only when it begins to affect us personally, that we get serious about solutions! This "plastic pollution" is another example of disregard for the planet, our only home. All those who do not see it this way, our ONLY HOME at this time, will sadly find out what it is like to reap the rewards of not caring for this home! Thankfully, these video clips indicate planning and seeking solutions to deal with the "plastic pollution"...the handwriting is on the wall ..the time to get serious couldn't be any plainer..It IS NOW!... pointing thumbs up ...Avias
Nonsmoker...Great video about responsibility for design...it all goes back to this!thumbs up
