Losing it
What order would you put the list in, from worst to what-the-hey, these things happen -A Losing your car in the parking lot (doh!)
B Losing your passport on holiday (you NUMPTY)
C Losing your place in a long queue because you forgot something (blast it)
D Losing concentration during a boring repetitive job (senility alert?)
E Losing weight without trying (slightly worrying)
F Losing your temper without real cause (eg road rage)
I’ve done them all except option B (so far) but last night I was doing something boring, repetitive, but important to me (setting URLs into one of my ebooks) and suddenly option D has become the most terrifying thing in the world. Until then I’d have put B at the top.
I may be over-reacting, that's why I'm asking. Perhaps everything, at the time it happens, suddenly becomes the most terrifying ...

Don't give me that, "Oh my sister called from Oz......"
Hello Biff
However, F is a younger mans game, I avoid repetitive jobs, I avoid queues, Never done B, Regularly achieve A after a smoke, I've only put on weight in the last 2 years and I can go a day or two easily without eating.
F this could be it!
C that is so annoying
A thats so confusing when your in a hurry.
B ive never had a passport to lose!
F road rage is a cause/those idiot drivers!
Losing concentration sometimes when grooming a horse can have very grave consequences.
Honeymoon in Bali 1996
i was so so much in love with him then....
I was walking along a pavement in snow here and suddenly I was nose-first in a snowdrift, same thing, leap lightly to your feet, 'haha I'm fine' (bloody HELL)
Get a passport! Adds stress but the chance to travel and meet some of the unusual people on CS
I do count my blessings, believe it or not. I still care for him and I sincerely wish that he'd find someone much better.
He truly deserves a better cook
This is proving awesome for perspective. Phew.
Those are the days you're so frazzled from the double queue you go blank on where you left the car ...
First sign that old age is kicking in is when you forget to check the list.
Amongst all those, I have done E and quite often too.. Wasnt terrifying though. Just made me work really hard to gain them back!
Me too.
their car, even if it is five minutes.

I would say the other sign of old age is when you forget the list altogether!
I don't drive but have been with others who could not find their car in the car park. It is very frustrating, especially at night when you have just done a load of Christmas shopping!
I always feel very guilty and stupid when I lose my temper over little things.
As for the others, I think if it was a lot of weight loss, I would put that one first and second would be losing a passport.
Funny you should say that Daniella. I have made lists when going shopping and have forgotten to bring them. Although, I pride myself on the fact that I can usually remember most of the things that I had written down!
Nah.
You never lose your temper? I thought all the Irish were fiery? I've been lied to with a stereotype all this time?
