Preparing for a date

We men have no idea what a woman goes through preparing for a date or even a simple coffee meet up, They spend time and money on hair, nails clothing that more often than not costs more than a meal and drinks, yet we assume because we men pay for the meal we expect special thanks.

We men also have a false perception on what women like or how we think they like to dress.
So the questions are:

For the men, do you think a clean shirt, having a shave, washing the back, sack and crack is enough? And how do you think women should dress for a date.

For the women, how long do you typically prepare for a date, and how much do you spend on getting dolled up?

You don't cut your nails if you are not going to score, wow.
If it is a date..I know what I am going to wear before I starting throwing on clothes...I know what I want to look like unless it's a spurt of the moment thing and first dates for me should not be like that.
Interesting, I did a blog once on how long it takes me to get ready for a date and every single woman without exception who posted on it sneered at me and said they took less than 10 minutes.

You attract a complete different type of blogger rolling on the floor laughing

Naaah...old clothes doesn't mean they are not in good condition...I have clothes that are as old as my daughter who is 9 and they are still in excellent condition but most just don't fit.

First impression last..I would want to look and smell good but I would never want to over do it..cool cool
I recently had a guy take a trip to a Turkish barber to get ready for a date with me and approved his thoroughness, he looked excellent.

I have now decided how much time a man puts into his appearance before meeting me is a direct reflection on how keen he is. So pitching up with stubble and and unironed shirt? Don't bother. Stay home. snooty
I think with my hair already done and clothes put aside It would take me about 45 mins to nail it all.
Biff, What is a Turkish barber?, Ive cut my own hair since the 70's and shaved myself, and I can look somewhat presentable at times!

Prof, Thanks its a good one, I actually spent 3 hours getting ready for it, went to the salon to have my hair and nails done, had my toenails trimmed at the local woodwork shop, dressed in a 3 piece suit and then spent 20 seconds writing the blog, hard word, but at least everyone knows how much we bloggers prepare before hand.
