Anyone else awake?
Lying in bed with the van door open drinking coffee and roaming the smartphone for anyone else awake. Nearly 9 am in Spain. I seem to have the world to myself. Noone on the campsite is stirring yet. The mountain to the east blocks the dawn but I can see the sunshine on the opposite slope and it is sliding closer as the shadow shortensCoffee?

Didn't he?
But ok if you have a shot at getting in, you da man, where do I sign up as a supporter of your presidential bid?
Mimi's mouth will be drooling at the churros pic.
I am still trying to work off my recent churros-fest
Whenever I would travel down to Kentucky and Tennessee I'd see snow on the mountain tops which I thought was so neat to see.Sometimes I'd see almost like a water fall cascading down the side of a hillside which was so beautiful.
I shall be a pain of note now that I have the photos thing sorted
Hey, want to see it a few months ago? Why not! More or less same angle, modern pipes going in (the house is who-knows-how-old but bits are definitely over 100 and the plumbing was decidedly creaky.)
Well well well. This time when I went into Imgur, all the options you'd discussed, sizes, the lot. I picked medium thumbnail because I couldn't remember what you'd said without crashing out of this comment and this is a flying visit -
I'm just over an hour's drive to the higher ski resort.
Snow on the mountains and waterfalls - 2 of my absolute favourites.
I am in the Bay Area at the moment and it is very hazy. And should you plan on coming here, I would offer my time to drive you all over. Pikes Peak in Colorado is one heck of a beautiful sight, too. And so is Mt. Rushmore in Mid West.
I have taken so many pictures around the world and I will perhaps post them on another blog.
The Van that you drive with, is it like a Motorhome like we call here? Complete with bed and kitchen?
We do have stupendous motorhomes / RVs here, many of them from the US, with slide-out rooms and lavishly-fitted bathrooms, several bedrooms, a huge kitchen and often a little car tacked on at the back.
Mine is the type I think known in the US as a stealth van it had the basics. A bed, a 3-way fridge, a pump-sink, a gas hob and grill, and a miniature camping loo which I only ever used if it was 3 in the morning and raining between the van and the campsite loos
It is bloody beautiful is what it is
Oh hang on is it private? Or much admired by passersby like the one near me?
Well too bad you hate flying. Otherwise, tickets are cheap during off season. I will offer you my little abode to stay but there are very affordable motor home for rent, too. That would be the best way to sight see. I did that in Australia and went from Sydney to Darwin. Soo many pictures and I will too, upload them in a blog one day.
I am so tired of driving now Elle, non stop for the last three months traveling, flying and driving. I think I am going to get me a part time job now. Just to stop from going all over the place. Good news is I lost two pounds and wheew, I now need new clothes.
I miss Redex
And yes if I ever sell up again I will be tempted to buy a proper one - not gigantic, but well-fitted with the important things in life - and see my days out as a gypsy. Secondhand are not so expensive, especially here. Not cheap, but not the prices you are talking.
Oh wow that sounds fun
think you made a really nice nest there in Spain.
I can't post the link, I am sorry but Google it Robby and it is all in there. Research the equipment on each company and try to compare with the price. They have a wide variety of choices based on size and luxury equipment that come with it.
There are so many second had or we call it pre owned here Elle and yes you save big bucks. Sometimes the depreciation of these vehicles are so high because of the demand. Plus the new law of California on parking these gigantic homes are very strict. Either you have a very big lot and with approval of the county you live in or pay a lot to get it parked in a Storage area.
