My blessing, today my daughter was flown in rom Frisco and will drive with me back to the West Coast

Some people count their blessings based on material wealth. I guess there is nothing wrong with that really.

For me, I count my blessings with my health (very active at 67, still do 100 push up a day), but most especially the love of my children, and my friends.

I have decided to go back and live permanently in California as I am now fully retired.

I will be very close to all my children and grandchildren and live very modestly and simply. Of course, I still hope to travel the world as I am accustomed to and just smell the roses and enjoy nature which I love very much.

My youngest daughter offered to drive with me and I am more than thrilled with this adventure.

We are leaving today, it takes at least two days before we get back home. I will not be able to baby sit this blog but thanks all for your read and or comment if any.heart wings

today in Oakland airport, my first time to use it, and quite stressed free. I normally fly through San Francisco, because of Delta and United but boy how easy and less crowded Oakland is. Jan. 20, 2019

And that's the Pacific Ocean behind me through the window.

Holy smokes what fantastic choices you have. My youngest granddiva moved from FL to Santa Montica with her boyfriend almost a year ago now. She is loving it but she is young gorgeous, so is her man & they both make good money there, it's a great town for the young. I personally love northern CA so much more than southern CA where I lived, the north is beautiful (except for the winter) so says this girl from the tropical weather.

I live with hurricanes here in FL but am terrified of CA having an earthquake. Go figure.
Oh Unfazed, the Earthquake when it happens, there is nothing much we can do about it. But Florida has one of those killer storms too, so I guess, no matter where we are, there will always be some kind of tragic possibilities. I have lived in California for 38 years and well with the exception of the big one in 1988, or was it 1986? there wasn't much activities of that nature yet. But the big one is predicted with so much force that it might even separate the whole of California from the main land.

Well I visit your state every now and then. I have relatives who live in Miami. I normally catch up the cruise there for the Caribbean. It is very humid. Like Hawaii which I couldn't care much. I get island fever whenever I go there.

Anyways, thanks for the information about the community garden. I read that from your blog. I checked it right away here in Northern Cali and it is everywhere. Marin Country has a huge one, too.

Come visit California and we'll hook up. I will be back on the 11th.

I just left Florida.bouquet

With my children at Holiday Inn, Kearney and Washington, San Francisco.
When I go to Cali I will be going to Santa Monica to see my youngest Granddiva who works one of the sweet resorts. I think that is probably more southern CA? To me northern CA was so much prettier than southern.
It is Fay but northern LA.
I can meet you up for lunch. I used to visit relatives there. It's about 5 hours from San Francisco if traffic is light.

So tranquil.
I met a very good friend from Southern California who's also a member here and had a blast. We hope to meet again. Thanks for your time Oldie.

Made it to Reno and I'm a little sick because of the weather. 55 in the Bay Area. Triple digits in your place and Reno isn't bad at 80 but I'm tired of this driving now.
Hope you camp out in Reno for a day or two before you start the drive home, I think you need a break
Will chat with you soon.
Oh I already went back to the Bay Area because of meeting my friend from Europe in San Francisco. I am going back there on Thursday for some event after the funeral.

Thanks Oldie. I do really need a break. I will not go anywhere for a month. Just be here on the blogs, yay...cheers

At the Winstar Hotel and Casino in Thackerville Oklahoma

The biggest casino in the world. I can't believe my eyes. I've been to most casinos in the world and this one in the middle of nowhere is the biggest? But no Pai GAO poker.

The hotel is very similar to Hote Intercontinental. Very nice and the pool, huge.

On the top if Winstar where I'm staying. One hour drive from Dallas where many friends of mine lives.
Yes indeed. Losing back my winnings, I earned one week stay in a suite akin to the Venetian.

A great room Oldie. Remember chuckchansi? It's one tenth. Google it. Winstar casino, Thackerville, Oklahoma. One hour drive from Dallas.
A one week stay at a casino! If that happened to me I'd probably have to sell off my first born to cover
my gambling losses. I hope you mailed your credit card home.
Great pics thankscheers u brought us to your road triphug teddybear
Oldie you know how I play. You're the only one on here that knows me that much more than any other friend if mine. Not all losses. More winning as a matter of fact.

I'm visiting my relatives in Texas during the day.

Besides you don't gamble. I know you that much.
