In spectiferous fall weather. Known as a "pitchers park"...Dodger stadium nevertheless was bombarded by 24 dingers in 5 daze....later on I found that a friend of mine was there.
When I asked him how he managed to breach security...he matter of factly told me he texted a number .. attached an image { .of himself
And presto chango, his cardboard likeness was installed in a box seat by Dodger Government worker bees.

People who are honest, hard working and trying are struggling to pay bills. A recession will hurt them and seniors. But, the way of corporate America and lazy snowflakes..I wish we would get a depression.
Why? Examples. Tenants boy..had a good job working along side his girl friend. Tenant said their boss was so pleased, training them to be managers. Yesterday he told me if I needed labor, his son is not working. Oh well..guess THAT job was too much for him too.
Neighbor wanted to turn lawn care biz over to his son. Son whining too much for him alone. And dad had to go do half the work the son was SUPPOSED to be doing. Told son if he got up before noon, might get work done. So rescinding offer. Dad is up every day by 5:30 and on the road til 7 or 8 pm.
Tenant got sign for letter from big oil/gas company. It had been started by one man. Super good guy. Now his kids run the supply part plus the 3 convenience/gas stations and the laundromat. Letter says they will no longer supplu tenants propane because he doesnt use enough every winter. Gee, guess it costs too much to drive truck out 10 miles for 1000 gallons or so.
Frontier phone. My bill is two pages of confusion. Charge to run service truck, charge for this, taxes at least $12 for everything the state, feds and county can think of. Charge for internet that uses copper lines that are bad ever time it rains. Promise of 5mb and lucky if get 3. I like my landline and dish cant reach signal on my farm. Frontier has rep for poor quality and service. So now got notice that I have to do on line billing or they will add $2.99 to my bill.
The gall. I dont do on line. Neighbors dont even have computers nor internet.
I can pay $21 when I need to add units on my pre-paid Tracfone. Get 300 or so call, 300 data and 300 SMS. Pay a buck state tax and nothing more.
My dumpster adds fuel charge. This month is $24. At least they are up front.
Try to watch antenna TV and the news half is 10 minutes with luck out of the 30. Rest is ads. Mostly drugs.
Walmart thinks their ugly clothes should be the prices of department stores. Oil barons are gouging.
People dont want to work unless they get $20 and hour and dont do the job anyway.
Wages go up...prices go up. Companies wont cut into their profits.
This country needs a good azz kicking.

Should all heads of Monarchies be so trustworthy and be like Edward VIII? I am amazed today that Monarchs the world over are rich and live in splendor while their subjects live in meager existence adoring the royalty.

We grew up with them and obviously, looked up to them also, but over the years, have you changed your view regarding yours, as in everything you expected them to be? or did they disappointed you instead?

Despite fancying the pants "as little as they might be" from superman.....
and looking up to Lady Hawk for being the best, lets keep our hero's real.

Two I stumbled upon over the years, My Lady, Mary Magdalene and Pope Joan, the other perhaps she is my personal favorite of the three, possibly because I've looked up to her too for as long as I can remember... she too is another Joan

We need to change our ancient calendar. As far as nature appears, it is actually the end of July. Who needs 100 degrees! Either my hens are laying eggs in the woods, that 25 sow coon I just shot was raiding, or it is too hot for them to lay. I did get a hatch of 4 chicks. They are safe with mom in a cage in the coop. I think the tail feathers and color is indicating one at least is a rooster. Oh well..did lose 2 or 3 old roosters so guess there is room.
Did chores this morning cause tenant is gone for weekend. Went after my guy headed for home so late like noon. And found 6 eggs. So...woods theory? Coon? Or...do I have an egg sucking hen? Time will tell.
Happy to have a field under til again that has been fallow for 25 or more years. Problem is sand. And renter said has to do crop for a couple years to kill off grass and weeds and then plant to hay. Rains were regular and corn looks good. Well..sand good. But, now if dont get rain Saturday, afraid the corn will drought out. Good part tho is I can hunt arrowheads and dont have to take the tractor to mow off scrub trees every year.
Hunting a different area than where the main village was and found a spearhead. Almost complete. I do flint knapping. I start out with a big stone, work it to do an spear point and when I am done, end up with a scrapper or bird point. Didn't say I was GOOD at it.
I looked this one over..why did he toss it. And have enough skill to see the fracture. If he had gone farther, it would have taken off the whole side. Give him credit. Get so far and toss. I cant give up. Hope springs eternal til it cracks. Found a chip, and two scrapers.
I have two sites listed with the state. In that field and up by my house. I treasure the arrowheads as the artifacts of the ancestors of my spirits I have growing up on this farm.
Noticed debris on floor in barn. It is the swallow nest that was up on the beam. Hope the babies had left. I think a cat climbed up the stall post and reached to grab. The pair are flying in and out. Yelled, build in the center morons!
Finally went off farm to the next town to view cars going through in the Great Race. 1918 to 1984 is the base for years. One Auburn boattail, 52 Hudson, 50s Cadis, Stutz racers. And HOT sun!
90s again today.
My potato tires are bursting over with plants. Buckets are doing good, tomatos, summer squash, beans.
I got fed up with seeds and more seeds back to 09. So did flats and seeded flowers. And...some are sprouting. So crazy to toss seeds every year like some do. Especially at todays prices. I need to reduce to one container of seeds..not THREE!
We are heading to winter again. No wood has appeared in my shed yet. Pile is in field. Promises, promises and ends up waiting til November. I swear I am going to buy a new chain saw and not rely on men!

The heat wave is over


Raining raining, always raining

Seriously scratching my head here wondering....
how can anything that never began, ever be over

Yesterday, the press released the White Houses new green initiative. No longer will staff be allowed to use motor transportation. In an effort to help the over population out west of horses, a number have been ordered sent to DC. They will be broken to ride or pull buggies. The presidential limo will be parked and a new carriage ordered for the first families use. As well as transport for the POTUS.
Electricity will be curtailed in the White House. Bee hives are being set up on the grounds to provide the bees wax candles that will now light up the building. Porta potties will be installed and hot water will be turned off. Water will be limited to taps only. The contents of the potties will be composted for use in the vegetable garden. The south lawn is now being tilled to become the main garden.
The furnaces are being replaced with wood stoves. Each room that has a fire place will not provide heat. A massive wood furnace will be installed below and a wood shed built next to the White House. Kitchen stoves like wise will be replaced with wood ranges.
When the need to travel distances arises, Trains will be used if too far for the carriage. A new sailing ship will be docked near DC if there is a need for the POTUS to go over seas.
The only electricity allowed will be to run refrigeration and the security systems so no one enters illegally nor steals firewood.
An order will be issued by executive order to modify the Washington monument. A wind turbine will be mounted on top to generate electricity.
Congress will be subject to similar rules.
Hurrah for Mr. Potato head.

I know manners have flown the coop. But, when running a business and making money off customers, wouldn't you think the old rules would still be a good idea.
I am used to no service in many stores. Find it yourself or try to find a clerk. "help in aisle 7" is code for "not my job, head for the bathroom and hide". Of course that is almost better than the clerk who follows you all over trying to help. Please..just looking! I'll call you if I need you!
I need to get a roof on my barn. Started last year and still looking. Call companies. Smaller have a machine. Leave name/number/message. And NEVER get a call back. Or promises to come look. And never see nor hear them again.
Got hold one of the roofers awhile back. He called back. Said he could do a prelim off satellite views. Okaaaay?! And still waiting to hear back. One company does it right, their message stated not til Oct for opening. THANK YOU!
Leave voice mail. No one calls back. Now onto tree service. Called back. Made appointment. AND...never showed. Never called.
Talking to lawyer for trust. Started last year. Secretary says he will call, has questions. Yep...still waiting. Good thing I dont have one foot in the grave already.
Seems the norm these days is never keep a promise. Never be where you said you would. Never pick up a dang PHONE to let someone know change of plans. Glad all these folks are so dad gum important. Hope you are late for the prize drawing and your business goes belly up.
