Big-time insurance fraud...

The stories I've read about people committing insurance fraud is amazing. After COVID hit, the government was offering salary compensation for businesses. A guy in Miami bought some expensive sports cars with the money he claimed through his fake business. Lots of people were doing that, some got away with the scam and some didn't.

I watched a video where insurance companies send out investigators for people who are collecting large sums of money in personal injury claims. One guy was getting compensation for a back injury claiming he was unable to work, when they video taped him doing electrical work changing ceiling fixtures while standing on a 5 gallon paint bucket. He shimmied his weight to 'walk' the bucket along the floor from light to light. He lost his benefits.

A viral news story came up this week where a 36 year old woman in Ireland claimed her car crash in 2017 was so severe, she was unable to work for 5 years, carry her children, finish basic chores or lift a heavy bag. Claimed that, at times, she needed her medication to be brought to her in bed due to the pain. She had sued the insurance company and had an $823,000 injury claim pending.

What do you do with your Christmas tree after the holiday? You toss it... literally.

In January 2018, she entered a Christmas tree chucking contest... and won!
Her photo of the winning event made it to a national newspaper. The Judge having seen the photo threw out the case and remarked that the “very graphic picture” of her tossing the tree had helped her make the decision.

thumbs up

Is anyone else ready for the USA’s current three-year Nightmare to be over?

I think USA will survive the unceasing destructive horror of, among many things, moral fiber, families and higher education decay. Speaking about education, we need to bring back passing standards. I want the best educated and most skilled people available to do everything and get due credit for it.

We need qualified people designing buildings, protecting our border, flying aircraft, in law enforcement, as lawyers, as judges, performing medical procedures (including abortions!) farming our food, inspecting our meat etc etc. We need to stop climate change nonsense and the insane inflamed racism and division perpetrate on us. Let’s make America and Britain great again!

Aye, the Kraken...

I've been in and out of the model helicopter hobby a few times in nearly 50 years, overcoming a divorce, the loss of both parents, two serious car accidents and multiple job changes. I started back around 6 years ago, it was with some very small and inexpensive models that could only help me practice at a slow pace. I've since upgraded to larger models that are more powerful and fly with more authority. The only drawback is the cost... several thousand per model. It's a fact that no serious pilot can get by with only one radio controlled helicopter.

It's not possible for me to dedicate myself to the sport like I want... there are other obligations. 30 years ago, I recall levels of obsession where I would come home from work and practice on a computer simulator for 2 hours, break for dinner and get back to another 2 or 3 hours of practice.
It didn't matter how good I got, as going to competition or fun-fly events I could always find guys who were better pilots... much better. There was a guy who invented an electronic device, patented it and sold the product to a car manufacturer. His company was self sufficient to the point where he didn't have to work and would come to Florida every winter to practice flying at a local field for several hours each day.
Being exposed to that level of talent was incentive to continue improving and never reaching a plateau.

Most of us are flying 'pod & boom' style helicopters at have a fiberglass canopy to cover the motor and electronics with a long tail boom and a few fins. They aren't attractive, but fly great. There is a visual drawback, so we often wrap them in brightly colored sticky tape so they can be seen better when far away.

Often these models have names that reflect the size of the blades, like Logo 700 or RAW 580. 700 indicates the main blade length is 700 millimeters. Others have cool names like Dominator or Whiplash. There is one model that has a full fuselage to look like a real helicopter. Lots of guys have them but not too many are out flying them. Mentioned on a previous blog, a friend buys and sells models and recently picked up some used helicopters in a package deal that he plans to maintain and resell. One was a model called Kraken, named after the legendary sea monster.

I've seen them fly. They are very attractive and easy to see in the air. So, I made my friend an offer to trade one of my pod & boom models plus some cash for his Kraken.
He accepted the offer. Part of the deal was to go through the electronics and make sure all was good. He rewired a few connections because the guy who built it originally wasn't meticulous.

After initial testing, my friend flew it, made a few tweaks in the settings and handed it to me to try. Yes, smooth and predictable.

I've only got 2 sets of batteries that fit this model and this week, I'll order 2 more!
Aye, the Kraken...

I do not like the idea of Marxism and Communism anywhere in the United States of America.

"The U.S.A.'s National Motto ‘In God we Trust’ was adorned above the rostrum in the House of Representatives (Lower Chamber) as a rebuke of the cold war era philosophy of the Soviet Union. That philosophy was Marxism and Communism which begins with the premise that there is no God."

Become an organ donor age is not an issue

How can older adults support organ donation?
Nearly 106,000 people are waiting for a transplant; a name is added to the waiting list every nine minutes. Not everyone is able to be an organ donor, even if they register, but registering is the first big step. To ensure you have First Person Authorization, register with your state or add “organ donor” during your next driver’s license renewal.

At fifty and still learning

?A real secret about women

1- When a woman is angry, she does not mean more than half of what she says. If possible, always cuddle her to calm her down.

2- The most difficult time for a woman to go through is staying away from the man she truly loves. It could hurt.

3- A woman needs time to trust a man, and it is difficult to change her mind when she does that, but if she makes a mistake, forget her.

4- Women are a school from which they will never graduate.

5- Your marriage certificate to her is not a “driver’s license” but rather a “learning permit.” And he continued in school

6- She can be a bitter person now, and a very good angel later, it all lies in your approach. Yes, always treat her right.

7- A woman hardly forgets things, she remembers that she is in more pain, and avoids hurting her. Avoid negative words and always emphasize them.

8- Women can be very secretive. Often times, when women are having a hard time, they go into their closet and cry to their friends. Make your woman your best friend.

9- All women love pampering. Men often miss this. Yes, please treat them like children sometime as they want.

10- All women have a unique personality, like salt. Their presence may not be noticed, but their absence makes everything tasteless.

10- If she loves you, she can do whatever you ask of her as much as makes you happy, so never force her to love you.

11- If you don’t care about it, you will find someone who will see it. She is always with you only because she chose you.

12- If a woman truly loves you, she will be ashamed even if she asks you for money, but as a gentleman, do not wait for him to ask you for that, especially if she loves you, she will not allow you to spend unnecessarily. This is what makes them special

If you have a good woman in your life, she is your precious gem. Don't hurt her because there are many people who wish to have someone like her

We lost another one...

News first came across on the forums where galrads/sdarlagg was a regular. I know he was hospitalized more than a year ago and recovered. On April 7th robplum announced he was again in the hospital with pneumonia and pulmonary fibrosis and the update came through today that he passed away on the 10th.

I was in Dayton, Ohio last year on vacation, about one hour from Columbus where he lived. It came as a surprise my brother drove me to Columbus to see a famous museum and German restaurant, so I had no advance plan to contact gal. Always in my thoughts would be to get in touch if I get the chance to go back to Dayton this summer.
It just wasn't in the cards.

There's a void in the CS family as his absence is noticed...

This guy wants a second term as Potus.

God help us if he is elected to a second term. I hope everyone else in the blogs will stand up for the USA citizens' security, economy and freedoms come this November.

I hope the best for him in his private life but I cannot vote for this guy. Let someone else who understands the difference of missions for Ukraine and Gaza.....

Unbelievable this guy is the leader of the USA government: Biden announced that the United States is "providing airdrops of food and other supplies into Ukraine."

The White House immediately corrected Biden's announcement: "He meant Gaza."

(This blog is about no one else except Dementia Joe. All others will be towed away sooner or later.)
