brandycuba: I have found that there are very few people who believe in God or Jesus on this site, can someone tell me what their reasoning is? Why don't you believe in God, Jesus?
hi,I dont think that bieleving in jesus ,is tough at all
most people would know as that as a historical figure there is no doubt he existed, but the question of is he the son of god , did he rise again,is harder to buy,,

calmheartseeks: I never said all prayers were answered, and would never make such a claim.

Every single prayer I have ever prayed has been answered. Not always the way I wanted it to, but nevertheless all has been answered in my life, and I know that it is this way for every single person who is alive or has ever been alive. You just need to know where that answer actually is. Sometimes God answers us in ways that we dont expect, nor do non-believers accept that God is the one who anwered thier prayer. They think it was just chance, or that it was credited to thier own choices...God does not always answer people in the way they think he is supposed to. You will not neccesarrily hear a voice, or see a burning bush.

Yes, and Mike is the one who screwed up the phrase, completely, so what does that say about him.laugh

What's that phrase about "finger pointing"?laugh

Even if someone thinks there is no proof of thier existance, the messages themselves still hold wieght. Love your neighbor as yourself, or do unto others as you would have them do unto you still holds vast wieght even if you doubt the existance of the author of it.

calmheartseeks: This same thing happened with my mother. She was in her early eighties and had stage 3-4 colon cancer. The doctors told her she would have to have chemotherapy after the surgery and she was very afraid of this. Well, it turns out the doctor changed his mind, the second doctor same situation, she did not have to have any chemo, the surgery was successful and the cancer has not returned for over five years. She is now
in her late eighties and continues to bless us with her presence.

Yes, we prayed. Was it a coincidence, or an answer? There were other things that happened that were unusual as well, but I know others would disagree, this holiday weekend!!!

One of my makers went through an 18 hour straight throat cancer operation. The only two things that saved this person was their will to live and the fact that they stood 6.2in and were roughly 50lbs overweight. Without the weight that person would of died. It was not god who made or created that miracle it was the surgeons who have spent all their lives studying cancer who helped cure him. People just get lucky, and it means their time ain't up yet.

its kind of a shallow view what you have just posted. -I think-

who gave us reasoning minds? who gave us oposable thimbs so that we could create things? Who gave us the capacity for love and mercy that in turn helped build hospitals and medicine to begin with?

It certainly was God, and for that man to thank God for his recovery is most definitely in order.

Shallow most definately not. Your beliefs are just that, your beliefs. Now the tactics you use and the insulting degrading language are simply not godly like. You try to wind people up and enjoy it at the same time, then give pathetic excuses of being sorry. Your attempts to plant any seed of god or jesus in my head or heart simply will not happen.wine

My last night in the 'Holy Land' of Israel.

I came here with an open mind, and I leave here with one hope for the future; that many good Jewish people are now atheists (although proud of their culture) and see many good things about their neighbours - be they Jordanians, Lebanese, Syrian, Egyptian or Palestinians - they also respect and try to understand the hardships of Israeli minorities be they arab Israelis or Ethiopian Jews or Druz (some of the finest Officers in the Israeli Army are Druz abd well respected)..............

only the ultra Orthodox Jews pose a real danger to peace, because their fanatism, like fanatics from any religion, does not allow for the possibility of them being the only people who can possibly be right and that therefore anybody who disagrees with their fanaticism must be 'wrong'.....they are the ones who refuse to serve their country in the Armed forces, yet throw stones at police to protest at a car park being open on the Sabbath in Jerusalem.

Hi there you, glad you are enjoying it there, it is an amazing country as you well know. You are indeed correct but there are still obstacles to overcome there and it is in our human nature to prevent, protect and unfortunately disrupt and destroy, what good there is left. but never give up hope.teddybear

I wasnt insulting you LaVerdad. -hmm, let me rephrase; I feel that what you posted wasnt seeing the whole picture.

Intent is everything. I didnt mean to offend. Sometimes I am just strait forward in the way I write... Definitely NOT calling you a shallow person.

No, but judging by the number of cars on the roads on the Sabbath it doesn't look as though a huge percentage keep all the rules of the Sabbath - and people like to eat out etc!

Hotels HAVE to be kosher - or they don't get a licence, but many restaurants serve pork etc...........

How did he screw up the phrase?

"Arguing with you is like arguing with a bag of hammers" has nothing to do with "being as dumb as a bag of hammers". They have two different meanings. One has to do with the way a person argues; the other has to do with their intellectual capacity.

As I am repeating myself, I think I see a bit of a hammer here. I think Mike made a true and a clever observation.

bohdiprana: Dude, the mind is very powerful tool and regardless if one uses a jesus archetype or one's own higher self or source, we have the ability to instruct our cells to perform as we wish. With patience and focus this can be done.

It is in fact one's internal turmoil, (aka attacking one's self) that causes cells to think that you want to kill yourself. They are only following your orders. They tend to take internalized anger and other emotions as an instruction to die or be diseased, they reflect the hurt that hasn't been dealt with constructively.

I'm not sure about the washing machine, but your assessment of one's connection to one's own higher source is faulty and your further speech sadly reaks of ridicule in matters of which you clearly have no comprehension.

There may or may not be a jesus, but there is mind and there is conscious awareness.Zero point energy. Look it up, it will broaden your horizons. Then look up Rieki and when you're done I have more

I also believe in mind over matter so to speak. I personally choose to believe that it was my faith in Jesus that healed my body but you can also choose to believe that it was my body healing itself, the fact is I had cancer and now I don't. Thanks for kinda standing up for what I said.hug

ooby_dooby: Let's see now, you claimed to have had cancer so you prayed & prayed, that and a "minor surgery" and miraculously Jesus answered your prayers and you were healed. Of course the "minor surgery" had nothing to do with it. If you are such a strong believer in the power of Jesus to cure you of cancer, why did you even bother to have that "minor surgery"?

Then you say that your washing machine was about to break so, "I laid my hands on it and prayed Jesus please fix my washing machine, please make it work the way it was ment to." And now it purrs like a kitten. Do you realize how much money you could be making repairing white goods, and small appliances not to mention automobiles?

NO!!! I had cancer!!! I was told by the doctors that it was advanced and myself nor my child would live through my pregnacy. I prayed everyday until I had my baby. The doctors ran tests, they said they didn't know what happened but the cancer was almost gone, mind you pregnacy usually causes cancer to grow!!! They said I would be able to go through a minor surgery to have those cells removed.!!!

As for my washer, why would I try to make money on something God did for me? Both he and I knew that I do not have the money right now to buy a new washer. I don't care if you beleive me or not, It is what it is.

So true, many times I have asked and got a big fat NO for an answer. You have to listen and then understand. Many times I have asked for what I thought was best for me at the time, but didn't get what I asked for, I know that Gods thoughts are higher than my thoughts and his ways are higher than my was. I know that he did what was best for me at the time.
