I beleive in a creator. I dont beleive alot of the "Official Religion" that gets cramed down our throats. I dont beleive in a trinaty because Jesus stated that he was not GOD, that he came under the authority of GOD, and lots of people have made that claim. Why would a creator make us just so we had to trust something we know little about in order to save us. I don't think that a would have creator made us to be as mean to each other as we are. I feel much better when I can help someone than when I have to hurt them. It doesn't explain that at times we have to hurt others even though we have to. The main thing is to treat everyone with honesty and respect. As a learned Rabbi I am freinds with says, "if we are right, we get to say "Yea", if we're wrong we get to say "Yea-oops"

I too am able to process the wine but in reverse... turning wine back into water... once copious quantities have been quaffed !

Religion only exists because people believe what is written about their deity. I have read many of the scriptures from many religions and can coclude without a shadow of a doubt that all have been not only written by man, but a pure product of man. There is no alpha being that existed before time or its own environment.

I wanted to believe - almost desperately.
Those who have faith have something I don't have; but the evils of religion on this earth as practiced by religious leaders and the vast hypocracies as written in the 'holy' bible make me sick!
I am in the 'holy land' of Israel on holiday.
On Monday I could have gone to the 'holy' city of Jerusalem where good Jews and good Christians and good Muslims like to fight and kill each other over 'scared' ground.
I'd rather sit quietly and talk to wonderful people and drink a cup of coffee than visit that most interesting city that upsets me so much................. on tv a few months ago there was a clip of two orders of monks actually fighting each other in a church in Jerusalem.
God forgive them all - 'God' forgive us all............. I refuse to be an atheist, but i am certainly an agnostic because I do not know the truth....... and that that say they know the truth I accuse them of being nothing but liars as they do NOT know the truth and maybe they never shall.
Death shall make us all equal; Hell is either an existence away from fellowship with 'God' (so earth is Hell as it is) or the evil punishment of a 'loving' God who condemns those who don't suck up to him for all eternity - NOT a nice God in my view...... certainly not a God of love.

I have to say that was interesting...It's funny how some truths are just that...If some of these things were never written down they still would be true...Treat others as you want to be treated...
I was raised a Catholic but never went after I was a kid...I didn't put any faith in it all the way up to 38...I died two times...I remember the first time...I was given something that was never on my mind...Didn't care...I was shown something that I don't believe...And yet I can't say it didn't happen...It's hard to tell all of you that was like myself before...Believe or go to HELL...The funny thing is that what I was shown it wasn't like that...Hell was living the worst moment in your life over and over again...That feeling you felt then stays forever...Heaven or what we all think it is...You can't get there just by treating people alright...It's more then that...you have to help for no good reason...just to do it even if it means to put your life in harms way...To care when you think you can't...I could go on but I think you get it now...You can rip anything apart...dice it...Try to prove it by history...Truth is...Your the one who has to make that journey alone...If I could tell you one thing...I started to do things differently now...If we all try to better ourselves...WE ALL WIN

I would like to point out an observation.
Let's look to the title of this thread. It is addressed to those who DON'T believe. I can understand why they don't.
Many times, believers on this site complain that they can not discuss God in the threads without the "atheist" showing up to bash them. And when the atheist put up a thread, the "christians"
show up for battle. WHY?
Rilly, you are a nice guy and I respect your beliefs, but I must point out that clobbering someone with "religious jargon" will not "save" them. The battle is the Lord's. He wins hearts with demonstrations of LOVE. Love in Action. No man comes to Him unless He draws him to himself. Love is the magnet. You can not push someone to God. Have you ever looked closely at the words Christians speak? It's jargon. We know what we are talking about, but Unbelievers have NO idea what those words mean. We must speak in simpler terms and in love. I know in your heart, that you mean well, but I ask you to take a different approach.
Your presentation is a "turn off" and we want to "win souls", not drive them away. He who wins souls is wise.
I would like to hear the reasons unbelievers have for not believing, without others trying to convert them on this thread.
If you are compelled to reach out to them and feel that the Holy Spirit is directing you to do so, it would be better to do it privately thru emails, ecards and flowers. It's less intimidating that way. Ask God for a loving approach and divine intervention. Don't be "Religious" and act in LOVE.
