drbombayStaten Island, New York USA42 Threads 5,391 PostsEveryone has a right to his or her belief(ok), so based on that why do believers feel this need to impose their belief on someone else(please spare me of doing me a favor) or your belief of higher power is telling you to do so(again, spare me) for I will make my own decision like everyone. I don't need a church, synagogue, temple etc. to know I'm a good person. My temple is in my heart. I respect if you believe but it seems that people who do not are subjected to yours. If you saw what I have and not saying I'm right(RETIRED NYPD) you begin to question. The only thing I totally object to is that anyone who uses their religion or belief to kill or be killed of another human being cannot be a good person(fanaticism) bottom line and no one can convince me otherwise, end of story, I rest my case.

Satan is the God of this world....all things wrong are of him and of man who has followed his ways.
Some even pray to God and get no reply! God does not hear the prayers of sinners. To make all things right for one who is disobeient is to make rightousness and grace a joke.
My friend if you find God and believe, repent, have the Holy Spirit, keep the commandments under grace....God will hear your prayers and rewards those who seek him......all others are outside and will recieve nothing.
Don't blame God for your misunderstanding and being outside of grace. He is not the maker of your troubles....never has been.
But with knowledge you will find him merciful and giving ALL a fair chance to obtain salvation.

i feel relidgion has no place in the world of today, its out moded and serves no useful purpose. it's totally unproven and is all about faith.

OK, I'll give a serious answer. I don't believe in god or jesus because, my brainwashing as a child was corrupted by the very people who tried to make a believer out of me. They failed, and I came to see through the cherade, I peeked under the curtain, I saw the strings that were manipulating the dummys, I saw the lies that were repeated over and over but no matter how many time something is said it doesn't become true if it wasn't true the first time it was uttered. I don't believe because I need more than just "have faith" or "god works in mysterious ways" sorry, but that simply doesn't cut it for me. I could go on but I think you get the idea. I am perpetually amazed that in this day & age people actually buy into this fairy tale. The power of brain washing proves itself to me every time I hear of a suicide bomber blowing themselves up because somebody told them they would go to paradise and be given 7 virgins to play with. If we carefully deliberate on our own psychical make up we find constantly changing cells, nothing in our being is everlasting at best some minerals like calcium that makes up the bones last a while longer. Our temporary human form is impermanent; likewise our thoughts are ever changing.
I accept a view that proposes I am the creator of my ever-changing tomorrows, not some outside force other than collective karmas. After my experience in Vietnam War I studied Tibetan Buddhism, which places the onus of responsibility onto ones self. Though I found the levels of that notion hard to grasp in hindsight I’ve become more certain indeed it is I that put my hand up to defend NZ from the communist hoards and had responsibility of suffering I involved in. In Tibetan Buddhism its our own self-cherishing that brings metal suffering to our minds, our own actions of body speech and mind that creates tomorrows experiences.

You will never have proof!If you were of the true faith.....then proof would be in your face day by day growing as events told come in place....world events foretold following exactly as told.
But first comes faith and understanding. The book of Revelation is confusing to most.....but make perfect sense to those who through faith understand its meaning.....it was given so those that are his would have warning of events to come and the order of them. That is simple proof for you if you understood it.
You will have proof if you live in the end times. You will without fail. But will you believe it if you don't have knowledge.
If you want proof....seek God and in time you will have it plain.

If god exists for the ones that believe(same god for most, other name whatever, same thing), I have to question if god or whatever same context(different name) is that smart when so called creation of humans ie.-LANGUAGES, color & customs, sorry but I don't go with what primitive humans wrote(needed crutch or created a moral system of sorts to maintain some order). I had 8yrs. of catholic school and formed my own belief later on that it's no matter what religion, it's BRAINWASHING. You believers have the right too but do not impose it on others, thank you.
