you would be doing your fellow countrymen a big favour if you lobbied your government to transport them out of Libya or Tunisia instead interrupting the useful and well motivated information Zeus and others are sharing in this thread
More than 9,000 migrants who’ve reached Italy since January 2011 reportedly set sail from the Tunisian port of Zarzis, where truckloads and cars full of migrants are reported to be arriving. The migrants are understood to be paying 1,400 euros each for their 10-12 hour passage to a ‘new life’ in Europe.
Muchachito YES, I REPEAT AGAIN THANT I AM HONEST & I SPEAK ALWAYS TRUTH. IT'S LIBYA'S INTERNAL MATTER. BUT US-UK & OTHERS SOME COUNTRY ARE WARMONGER. THEY LOOKING LIBYAN OIL ASSETS FOR LOOTED AS LIKE IRAQ.

If you speak the Truth why do you have to shout!
Besides, the UN is already involved! Once you have Refugees streaming out of a Country it becomes an International matter!

But the US and the UK never got Iraqi oil as Asia, Europe and Russia got it so your post makes no sense and, you in fact did not speak the truth.
And prior to posting again, please verify your statement as to who got the Iraqi oil as next time, if you do not verify what is probably a mistake and make an error, you will be guilty of being a liar.
European Union and Nato foreign ministers will hold separate meetings in Brussels today to discuss the international community's reaction to the situation in Libya. Among proposals on the table is the imposition of a no-fly zone.
Malta will be represented at the EU meeting by Foreign Minister Tonio Borg. He will go to Brussels later today after holding a meeting in Rome with Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini, with Libya again topping the agenda.
Meantime Libyan envoys continue hopping around Europe in their quest to change the outcome. Next in line is Greece where the envoy is to meet deputy foreign minister and the ministry's secretary general as part of Libyan diplomatic efforts.

Well everyones truth comes from the information they receive.
I actually agree and have from the start that the US should stay out of it... and that we have been warmongers for lots of reasons that usually have to do with profit. But that is no different than any other dictatorship.. it is apparently what makes the world go around. Greed, blood and hunger.
In this case Libyan rebels should make their own call.
As of yesterday:
"The rebels also hope that the international community will soon set up a no-flight zone to prevent Colonel Qaddafi from bombing his own people and importing mercenaries from abroad.
Nonetheless, fighters are adamant they can win this themselves. They don’t need or want foreign troops on the ground. They do, however, need better weapons.
Libyans will have their own revolution. But the international community, which helped fortify Colonel Qaddafi’s dictatorship and now has a great moral responsibility to our new nation, must act to assist the uprising and limit the soaring loss of innocent life."
Libyan rebels fired rockets in the direction of the sea on Thursday after reports that Libyan gunboats in the Mediterranean Sea may have attacked rebel positions on the front line in the oil-producing east.
"We came into Bin Jawad but gunboats fired on us so we withdrew," one fighter, Adel Yahya, said.
Rebel Colonel, Bashir Abdul Qadr, at that time could not confirm whether naval vessels had been used, but said: "We had bombing from the direction of the sea."
This is the first time since the begining of this crisis that I've had news of Gaddafi's troops using any form of naval vessels or sea-bourne attacks.
More European countries have now accepted to share in homing possible Libyan refugees expected if the crisis escalates. This includes Belgium, Sweden, Austria and Germany who all had a change of heart after initially strongly opposing any such initiative.
Malta, Italy and Greece expect to be hit hardest in such an eventuality but this may spread to other countries on the south of Europe.
Still holding strongly against any burden sharing are Denmark and the United Kingdom.
Malta has worked very closely with the UK over the past weeks to evacuate its nationals from the troubled North African state as well as opened our doors to their warships and aircraft utilised in such missions.
So much so that the British Prime Minister David Cameron even personally thanked thanked the Maltese Prime Minister in a House of Commons speech on the 28th of February, adding "...and not for the first time in our history, Mr. Speaker, we should pay tribute to Malta and her people for the role they are playing."
While in such moments the island would appreciate a bit more than verbal compliments, Britian's reaction will in no way change our current commitment, not even to Britian itself, as human lives are at stake.
Oh Albertghost, you see occupied Iraq history. US-UK & others country told Iraq have Atomic & Chemical bombs. All people's saw there is no this bombs. But we can see destroyed Iraq by US-UK mission. Now they looking in to Libya. What happen next ?
Its well known all those long serving dictators,Kings, etc,in the Middle East, they have invested in many forms, huge sums of money outside their country.
Buffy327: I incline not to believe anyone who called themselves Topple the Tyrants...If Britian has no intention of ever returning the money why would they even tell (and how much) they had seized...and where is their evidence that Britians assist tyrants...Mud Slinging Time....

Sorry for our governmemt our foriegn secretary has not got a clue and the people of the UK are scared of immigrants even though most come from such stock.
hossain_monowar: chris, we don't forget it that Hosni Mobarak was USA & UK friend for long years. But he was dictator. You remember it. It's true.
You really need to make a Thread of your Own about your Misgivings, since this Therad is used to Update People on the Libyan Situation, not for you to push your Agenda!
