The constant posting of political threads discourages new members, who are genuinely looking for a partner, from participating on the forums? Has it discouraged old members also from posting?
This is a dating site afterall & I doubt political forums would accept dating talk, so why do the politically motivated use a dating site to view their opinions.confused

Most of the dating goes on behind the scenes, not on the public forums.

It may be annoying to regulars, and would certainly put new posters off, but if people want to date, they will anyway.

Its a dating site in name only round these parts. Politics can get a bit dull, especially when its people saying all the exact same predictable things (see the 500 anti Trump raves). Some prefer a laugh, some come here as a courtesy to let us know how desirable they are and how well they're going. Some have yet other reasons, and so its going to come down to maybe dont read things of no interest to you. But yeah, I've been caught out, where the title has no mention of Trump but its the same old guff repackaged.

Most people enter this site with high hopes but soon realise that the impracticalities of the logistics, soon dampens their initial enthusiasm.
When I first enrolled, I couldn't believe how many people stated on their profile " not looking" but I'm beginning to realise why,

I use the forums as a form of relaxation, away from the hustle & bustle of everyday life but to be constantly reminded of it, does get me in a rage & if it wasn't for the potential banning, I would tell them in no uncertain terms.cheers

I hope not.

Maybe there are people that don't bother with major topics.

It seems any one looking for a partner would have to communicate with their partner on a very large array of topics.

Politics or no politics, plus many more topics, can literally make or break a relationship. I never thought it would or could until I'd actually witnessed it a couple of times.

Always more "stuff" to consider when a relationship might be in the cards...Similar views or very opposite?

Long term topics and life style should be considered very important from the softest touch of acknowledgment to the absolute "bear" harder topics can awaken.

All these "churning waters" in the forums remind me that I have a small scaled model of the U.S.S. Constitution to put together soon.

When you expect content for free, we have no right to complain about the quality of it. CS forums are only for insane members (like me) . laugh Pretty fun for sure. .

btw, those "crapologies" and some good political threads are not bad at all. In fact, it does help the selection process ..

Current being the operative word!
The trump saga has been ongoing for, since my time on here & I feel it has gone too far , almost to the point of obsession.
