Trying something new?
I wrote this poem, after witnessing a fairly violent rainstorm, the beauty of the silence, before and following it, and the awesome happenings of nature in between inspired me ! I wrote it in 1969, while expecting my 1st. child, my dear old freind a poet himself, Raymond Trowbridge was part of this inspiration.

it was a little cool at four in the morning

Another nature poem which I wrote on the 25th December 2013, many say that ants are like humans because they are the only other species that make war on each other, create underground cities and can become strong to keep law and order in their society.

Tramping through brambles and nettles to locate the source of such a beautiful sound. A tiny bird, perched high, just singing its heart out. I owe it much yet it asked for nothing.
