The best things in life are often free
Like sitting on the porch sipping ice tea
Or watching a frisky squirrel playing in a tree
These are the moments that are precious to me
Watching a cat stalking a bird
And all the sounds of nature that can be heard
Child like and full of glee
This is how we all need to be
So we can stop and enjoy the things in life that are free

Daydreaming
Daydreaming brings me out
of my reality to a place
of my very own creation
a place to have my most inner thoughts
of my own most inner creation
Daydreaming can be a realm of
new ideas and exploration
gives you that utter feeling
of phaseing away from the crowd
to whole new plain of existance
Daydreaming can be distracting
it can be very fulfilling
a good time to relax and dream
of the thoughts of your own desires of creation
of my reality to a place
of my very own creation
a place to have my most inner thoughts
of my own most inner creation
Daydreaming can be a realm of

~From the dark he came~
Drizzled water painted in brown
From where he came to abound in life
Cynical'd in thought
Life form's been shaped.
He'd wondered often how that water
Muddied up.
Yet those times they were few
Compared to his very
Mind thought's on display.
While his balance of time
Never brought him ashore.
The best he's hoped for
Was behind distant doors.
Eyes foggy glazed, lights silhouette
Nylons upon them echoed steel walls
Diamond reflection hosting
Distant skin Pierced.
My mind takes my feet say's go for a walk
Pain's gone away, for a while at least
While that warmed blanket
Keeps
The cold with itself!

About this poem:
I'm not sure how the one's dealt a bad card in life from birth with a mental health issue, or perhaps later in life, see their world. All I can do is try to understand by trying to go there myself. The reason I write this is, a very special lady (she's a registered nurse) in my life deals with people like this daily, I want to understand more of her days at work. The last three lines hold the key to understand.
Rewind
You tell me that you miss me
and you want me to come back home,
You tell me that it's my choice of course..
But you are getting tired of being alone.
You say that when things get too intence,
that is when I run..
You say I should learn to take ,
the good with the bad..
Yet I choose to follow the sun...
Yes I chose to put some space between,
You and me and them...
See if I can't get a better perspective,
And find some peace within.
I'm sorry I never meant to hurt you,
But I so needed this time..
Sometimes I think we all need to take a breather,
And step away ,step back ,and rewind..
and you want me to come back home,
You tell me that it's my choice of course..
But you are getting tired of being alone.

Sometimes it's nice to get away.. to get a better perspective on what is really going on with your life.. and decide if it is what you really want to continue doing.And sometimes, there never seems to be enough time.
Promises Kept
Promises kept, are more priceless than gold,
and gems that are found in the ground.
Promises kept, to the young and the old,
sends the world turning round and around.
Promises kept, in the light or the dark,
are important nevertheless.
Promises kept, even on Noah's ark,
can help all to pass the test.
Promises kept, will with stand all of time,
for the time it has no end.
Promises kept, by church bells that chime,
and hearts they help to mend.
Promises kept, in good times and bad,
builds trust in those who keep.
Promises kept, may be happy or sad,
From the keepers caring 's deep.
Promises kept, should be taught to the child,

When white tiles isn't enough lets go more :)
The Rainbow
I saw dark clouds filling the skies
It brought tears to my eyes
Suddenly the rain came
adding to my pain
The darkness of my soul
became a black hole
No light could enter
I could not find my center
I felt lost and alone and I felt
my heart like a stone
Nothing could atone
After a time the rain stopped
the clouds blew away
I saw the sunlight piercing it's rays
A rainbow appeared along with an angel quite clear
with love in her eyes and crying crystal tears
She told me to let go of my fear and hate or suffer needless pain and a dire fate
Know that the heavens are always here to remind you
to hold onto what is true and dear.
Listen to the voice of truth
no matter how painful it may seem
for you are responsible for your dreams
You may not like the various angels sent to you but, their truth they speak is tailored for you.
Many may not understand your ways and you may not understand theirs
yet do consider everyone is on the same journey to self
it's just that they are on a different path.
If on occasion you meet a few you can relate and they likewise share the same fate
Learn from them and love them for their gifts
for they likewise seek the same from you.
Let not your arrogance and ignorance shadow your inner beauty
For you know that is not your reality.
You were created out of love and given certain gifts that you may offer them to others in name of the God you dance to from above
Each moment wasted in anger and regret is a moment you cannot get back for love and joy on a bet.
Hence, look from within and find your truth for you will see the light behind the clouds
You don't need to constantly seek approval from the crowd for they are equally lost and found within the clouds.
Simply offer your love and let it embrace them from above
If they receive you then bless them.
If they reject you simply forgive them.
True freedom is knowing you gave in your capacity
and you did not lose your integrity or tenacity.
Always consider the demands that many place upon you is often the same they place upon themselves
You may not please or impress everyone
yet, that is not the goal
in life.
Just do what makes you happy and stop the strife.
You are not getting any younger or feeling any better
or wiser
It's time to change the visor.
Many will judge and criticize your thinking but do not fret
for everyone has their point of view
It doesn't matter because Heaven and Earth will still love you.
Years from now when your bones are resting underground all that may be said of you is you lived and died leaving not much of a sound.
Yet, know that no matter how bad things get there is a promise that heaven made
that the love it has for all will never fade.
Look for the rainbow and see the colors glow the pot of gold at the end is the love I send.

Culture
I saw two men kiss today
Not a normal kiss
They were not gay
For they were born
Of greater things
And their culture
Resounds from within
It was a greeting of respect
Where foreheads meet
And noses rest
Where silence belies
The beauty within
A mark of knowing
Never a sin
'Twas if I was a mile away
A glance my way
Would only betray
The honesty
Of their mark
Never to be hidden
In the dark..........
