Somthing True

Something True
Jonathon Elias Crace

Im sad to that say now youll never know,
of how my love feels or how it even shows.
Im leaving you with something personal, i had to make that clear.
Im giving you my beating heart, wait, would you truly shed a tear?
I only left it with you to comfort you, so you could always and forever know..
Youll forever be my always, with my heart, youve forever stolen the show .

Invisible wound...

When the pain of love becomes greater than love itself ;
there will be an inevitable wound that will forever scar the soul.

Waiting for you

Waiting for you
Jonathon Elias Crace

I count the hours,
I count the days.
How much I miss you,
I count the ways.
I miss your voice,
I miss your touch.
And I miss the face,
That I love so much.
How to describe it,
There is no way.
I walk around,
In a permanent daze.
I long to feel,
Your warm embrace.
And to see that smile,
Upon your face.

Gone

Gone
Jonathon Elias Crace

He said to wait,
So he could see,
what it was that they could be.
He sat and sat wondering why,
he couldnt hold on,
just one time.
She waited and waited,
for him to see,
but waiting so long just ceased to be.
He begged for love just one last time,
but she gave her heart to another guy.

Love

Love has to grow
Sometimes a bit faster
And sometimes a bit slower

But in any way deep enough
To hold for a life time.

There It Is

There It Is
By Robert N. L. Browning

Closing and opening of doors, eternal hope springs forth
Unsuspecting hearts entwine, something so truly rare to find
A look, a touch, a kiss, holding and feelings of faiths best fight
Love found hiding in a song by the ocean, oh the wonder of it all
There it is, lover’s spirits soar high touched by angel’s light
Frost glows, as sunlight flows, a ballet of leaves crack and fall

Standing in the doorway innocent lives, gazing together at the sky
Bounce in her step, bright eyes, hugs, kisses, and a heart-warming smile
Bathing, lotion, motion and the beautiful smell of whispered desires
Sharing a dream beyond all expectations, oh the wonder of it all
There it is, lover’s hearts dancing so comfortably together
Frost glows, as sunlight flows, a ballet of leaves crack and fall

Growing, stretching and searching two souls sharing life’s journey
Just me, big heart, tender side, character, and life is worth a smile
Mysteries of life and love quietly hiding behind veiled curtains
Love seeming so powerfully true and deep, oh the wonder of it all
There it is, sharing blissful spooning, sleeping, waking and taking
Frost glows, as sunlight flows, a ballet of leaves crack and fall

One door closes, struggling not to wistfully look back, another one opens
Untold secrets haunt, lost treasure abides, now broken inside
More questions than answers resign to spirit divine, greatest love of all time
Gods healing light brings understanding in the night, oh the wonder of it all
There it is, for a moment and now it’s gone, a timeless void so profound
Frost glows, as sunlight flows, a ballet of leaves crack and fall

About this poem:
This is a poem of loss and understanding. It was written with tears for healing. I have learned much since it was written. This is the first time I have shared it in publicly.

After the first deep frost in Wisconsin in the fall, in the bright morning sun, the leaves make a little cracking noise and then fall to the ground in a thick blanket. In that ballet of falling leaves, healing began.

Since this poem was written, I have focused more on the subject of spiritual growth and inspiration.

Warmth and light, Robert

~The Tree~

I wish I could paint you this life time
Every etch in the grain of the window sill carved at our roots
Every drop from the rind that once lingered on our vines
But the truth is my vision into the winter of our future is beyond this thin linen of our minds..

These deep coasre roots still linger here
But whose to say they may unravel with time
Our seasons have changed ,our bark denser than some and softer than others may weather with the water of our lives...

I wish I could show you how I see the sun
How it beckons me to uproot from where I have begun
But still I sow my seed under the fertilness of our tree
Ripe with the fruit that's cradled thee
How I wish I could let it be
Careful not to shake our leaves
But still my dear I must part our weave, to ensure our further harvest of no weeds
To carry out all our needs
But still my hunger leads
How it tempts me to pluck at our fruit and feed....

This hallow at my core bends at the branches
Giving power to any storm.
How its lightning could peel back the bark from our form.
To see the crevice of what Ive grown
Neslted in the soil deep I have sown.....

This growth hidden among the vines
among our intricate weave
Patterned into the heart upon my sleeve......

I'm a mess

I've been so hurt, beaten,scarred,
All I have are pieces, shards,
Shattered remnants of a broken heart,
Im missing things,
Screws and springs,
I've lost important parts,
To put it together would be so hard,
Even I don't know where to start...

"Love Is Just A Word To Say"

when all thats good is gone
and all my charm has worn off
love is just a word to say
when your in too deep to walk away

and to this day it's still a mystery
what you thought you seen in me
but now that you've played your games
i think we both lose all the same

(chorus)
do i ever cross your mind
cuz you do mine every time
the day is consumed by the night

do you ever wish things coulda worked out
caught up in the crowd
cuz wonder where you are now
or if your'e alright

(bridge)
you had my heart.....
in pieces
long enough to know through cold seasons
i may never feel warm again

if love is just a word to say
when there's nothing left
just know it was real to me even...
after the arguments
even after the moment's end
