It Hurts to Lose at Love!
It hurts to lose at love
When that’s what hearts are made of
A break can profoundly ache
And there seems no way to rise above
Pride can’t even hide
The lost look within our eyes
As we try to recognize
That our feelings can be a lie
Is it me, is it you
Are we all just too obtuse
Or are we merely pretending
While we wait for someone new
Questions without the answers
Leave us empty, pining for more
How will we ever believe it
If real love does come to our door
It hurts to lose at love
If the heart we give isn’t good enough
So how can it ever mend
After rejection tears it up

Love hurts... do we ever really heal... is love ever truly real...Moving on is so hard
In general. It’s hard when you get attached to someone. And you open up, mentally, emotionally, maybe sometimes even psychically. It’s not even about letting go of the person, it’s more about having to let go, and go through the same routine with someone else. After a while it just seems like every other persons gonna hurt you. It just seems like you’re the only one that gets hurt. Feeling real vounrable today lol.

Be the servant, my master, you!
My only love in this world, you!
You can never love me, can you?

Why can’t this heart just give up on you?

The Illusion!
The Illusion that you are there waiting
That you really want to chat
That you want someone like me to hold and relish as I do you!
A Ghostly mist that is on the dating scene, one that vanishes before contact is made
One that wants to meet for coffee, but never does!
A confident that wants to share with you
To discuss the landmarks and politics of the world and of ones secrets of the heart!
Oh! Ghostly mist that magicians make disappear
Wherefore Art Thou?
Aye that’s the rub
You are but an illusion!
And so am I, I vanish into the stream of make believe!

THE DAY HAS APPROACH FOR YOU TO FIND GROWTH.
A CHALLENGE YOU CHOOSE TO FACE ALONE, ME WONDERING IF IM THE ONE, YOU COMING HOME.

IT SEEMS SO COLD, I SHOULD BE FROZE.
NO HUGS OR TUGS TO SHOW TRUE LOVE.

Priceless Yesterday
Once we were like pearls
Shimmering...
In the brightness of youth
Fresh as dew
Hue and new
On the sands of time
Once we were like falls
Whispering...

Firm as faith
Morn and late

Once we were like birds
Chirping...
In the grove of adventure
Blue as Robin
Quick and probing
On the woods of yore
Once we were like meteors
Sparkling...
In the void of affection
Bright as stars
Smile and scars
On the horizon of history
Once we were like warriors
Descending...
In the grandeur of conquest
Brave as heroes
Pride not minnows
On the hills of ages
Once we were like this
So close...
In the bliss of passion
Far from harm
Safe in my arm

About this poem:
I wrote this poem in commemoration of a lost friendship some years back. I never got to publish it. Its just been lying there in my little book of poetry. It is themed and a retrospect on lost love. It sure evokes in me a sense of the past that was once present. Thank you

Can you call me again?
As I need to wake up from this dream
Can you hold me tight?
Tonight let me feel your warmth
Can you look in to my eyes?
For once let me reflect my love
Can you touch my heart?
Feel my heart bleed for you
Can You kiss my lips
For me to know the softness of your love
Can you lay your head
On my shoulder
To feel your tears soaking my heart
Can you come so close?
