just a couple of phrases

We cannot convert stones into gold
but we can convert hate into love.
We cannot convert the moon into the sun
but we can on simplicity to magic.

I ASKED GOD

I asked God for strength that I might achieve;
I was made weak that I might learn to humbly obey.

I asked for health that I might do greater things;
I was given infirmity that I might do better things.

I asked for riches that I might be happy in life;
I was given poverty that I might be wise.

I asked for power so I might have praise of men;
I receive weakness that I might be in need of God.

I asked for things that I might enjoy my life;
I was given life that I might would enjoy things;

I got nothing I asked for ,
But every thing I hoped for.

Almost, dispite myself,
My unspoken prayers were answered.

I am among all men most richly blessed!

Walk With The Dreamers

Walk with the dreamers,
The Believers,
The Courageous,
The Cheerful,
The Planners,
The Doers,

The Successful People
With their heads in the clouds
And their feet on the ground.
Let their spirit ignite a fire
Within you to leave this world
Better than when you found it.

How Do I Live a Joyful Life?

Being blessed to wake up is a joy. As I give thought to the layout of my day, framing my moves to what I will do next, I count it as joyful. Knowing sometimes what I will face at work and sometimes before I leave home, I quietly say thank you Lord for another day. I try to channel my thought toward positive things that will get me through the day. I have been blessed with good health and a spirit to help others. I feel that my life is joyful because I have a willing heart and a loving spirit to ease others pain or confusion because I have joy and my joy comes from having a relationship with God. To know you can cast you cares upon God is calming in the mist of life’s storms. Believing that God loves and cares about me in spite of your flaws and short comings gives me hope to keep going. The joy of knowing God is to rest in his peace. I live a joyful life by lying down my sword to face life’s struggles depending on Gods guidance. There is power in the name of God, being able to lean and depend on him; I count it all as a blessing

Intolerance

It may be measured by an inch
Or measured by a mile
The amount we can put up with
Will not always make you smile
I hate my shortcoming such
They always make me feel sore
But what really irks me as much
Is when I hate someone else’s more

About this poem:
The greatest danger to freedom of speech and threat to living in a free society might very well come down to any form of intolerance, especially directed towards those who love doing what they love doing
because it might be considered offensive to someone else. History is filled with examples.

DOES A GOD EXIST II

"Whomever commits a heinous act shall parish like evil deservedly should"
a "1st Commandment" that would assure sinister never takes over good
I'm beyond sick of hearing reason behind everything is " Free Will "
circumstance IS WHY humans can't adhere to "Thou shall not Kill"

So a life of constant sorrow is our 'Gift' from the loving merciful god
"who so ever denies him shan't escape the wrath of his vengeful rod"
Now wait just a minute... let me see if my understanding is correct
this "Gift" a god consciously made mostly painful isn't called neglect

When existing was on the table we respectfully should've had a voice
anyone mentally sound wouldn't accept a life of suffering if given a choice
Why we were forced into "Almighty's" vile world will never be known
if humanity was part of a gods perfect plan it was indubitably blown

"The Bible" claims the "Creator" knows what the future of each human will be
again...it sounds like our suffering was a predetermined conclusion of he
Does this entity sit idly by watching "his children" suffer because he's bored
I beg you...explain how Love or Mercy has anything to do with this Lord

An answer is out there I feel...but ONE All Powerful I can't conceive
I've tried faith but now it's reality I have consciously chosen to believe

our pope francis

a seagull has landed on our rock
on which stands st peters church
the smoke was dark
from the chimney
of god aboves most
holiest of place
the crowd they cheered
a sign from god
out of the dark
god shined his light
the smoke was white
a new pope was born
a miracle preformed today
as francis became our pope
i pray to god
he lead us well
in this troubled world we live
today a jesuit
became a pope
holy father i kneal before you
our leader
our apostle on this earth
like st peter
our pope

Lord please forgive me!

Here are my sins, do cast them away. Purge me from within, where much iniquity lay. Make pure the inside, remove all my guilt. Do, cast it aside, yes, all the filth. Grant me your grace; let sins be forgiven. Please, for christ sake, pardon,seventy times seven! Lord don't condemn me, i know i have sinned. My hopes are on thee- all hopes i pinned! I seek your light, show me the path. May i recieve sight, grant me anew start! In jesus name i pray; please hear his voice. Lord have your way. Let my soul rejoice!

Hidden in Plain Sight

Although silent I’m not without thoughts or words, they live in my head waiting to break free. Searching for the heroes in my own life story of passage and redemption, I reclaimed my faith and found God. Silence is not golden when suffered in defeat; your future can be brighter than your past. Stumbling from the depths of sin, I rest my faith in God. Only God has the power to erase your past and turn it into something beautiful and great. We must allow God's transformation to transform us from the mistakes of yesterday and into the miracles of today. When we bid farewell to our troubled past, we say hello to your promised future. Acknowledging where you are gives us the right and courage to reach our ordained destiny. When our minds are roaming around in the desert we must plant our thoughts and soul on God before healing and growth begins while seeking the power of God’s love and forgiveness. “I realized how much God loved me” At this juncture the direction in which we travel is more important than the distance. Failure is not an end result unless we reside there. Our brokenness and tales of tragedy allows us to see ourselves as victims. God’s purpose for us is larger than that of our own.
 Hidden in Plain Sight
Walking in the footsteps of God’s promises will give you the power to proclaim and proceed in the victory of His marvelous light. Your faith should be the faithfulness to produce good works giving strength to God’s vision for your life. Don’t allow Satan to lock- up your mind or cloud your view. Follow the path of righteousness that guides both your heart and your soul. “God’s vision for our optimal and eternal future is hidden in plain sight.” Victory is yours claim it.

LIFE! NOT TRULY GREAT

'Life' I know with absolution is 'Not Truly Great'!
it can't even come close because of all the hate
Fact is life is so much more painful than dear
as we age reasons why become more clear

From birth to teenager you would never imagine being bad
Foster homes and molestation weren't part of any plan you had
Truth is humans are inexplicably inhumane and vile to the core
remember that every time you get that knock on your door

I believe it's just not feasible to sustain peace of mind
how can one in a world of competition and wickedly unkind
Life would be better if we knew a heaven awaits after we croak
knowing so many are hurting keeps my heart and soul broke

When all those less than great parts of life unfold
"IT'S PART OF LIFE"... is what we get told
We must endure watching the ones we love most pass away
our ONLY choice is to "get over it"... no ones here to stay

Constant disappointment can and will make you numb
If you feel this "Life is Great"... you're blind then some
Life isn't great and I can't point out EVERY reason why
I do hope with all my might... we're better off after we die
