What If

What if I had eaten fruit and vegetables?
Instead of cheese and chips
What if I had worked out every day?
Instead of watching too much tv
What if I had applied myself when I was teaching?
Instead of lying on my bed buried under a thousand harsh words?
What if I had a good sense of humor?
Instead of going over and over an insult I had received
What if I had learned to play an instrument?
Instead of looking for excuses to not even try
What if I had gotten married?
Instead of waking up each morning feeling the sting of lonliness
What if I had had children?
Instead of worrying about the work and material cost
What if everyone would just accept people who are different?
Instead of judging them and excluding them
What if all people were free from fear of harm?
Instead of worrying about landmines and evil leaders
What if we could make this a better world?
Instead of just writing about it
What if

About this poem:
Just going over some things I have wished would be better. Just like in the movie PeeWee's Big Adventure, "You can't wait for things to happen, you have to make them happen."

PROMISE OF SPRING

Embedded image from another site

The promise of spring is in the air
Sights and sounds tantalizing nose and ear
Crocuses bravely breaking forth from the ground
Centers of gold – looking like little purple crowns

Gentle rain with a misty fog on the pond
Bringing mystical creatures with loud sounds
Little tiny beings gathering together to sing
Tantalizing us with the promise of spring

Snow melting slowly into the ground and streams
Provoking even more wishful spring dreams
Temperatures dipping way up and way down
Helping to keep hopes and dreams abound

Early Snowdrops have blossomed and gone
While spring flowers still sleeping underground
New bright green peeking up here and there
Fueling the feeling of spring in the air

Lenten season will be soon gone
Then the promise of Easter morning dawn
Celebrating our Risen Savior resurrected and alive
And the blessing of Spring and warm sunshine

TWO PETALLED RED ROSE....

Embedded image from another site

Two petalled red rose..!

Using your soft lips as a brush
While wet it in the red lipstick you applied on
The artist called love
Has drawn a two petalled red rose
on my neck…!

I Love Salt ..........

I am crab
I live by the sea
The sand and salt
Are the essence of me
The tide and the moon
Control my mood
I am sharp witted
I don’t mean to be rude
With beady eyes
And my hard shell
I see everything
And I am stubborn as well
I scuttle around
From side to side
My direction unknown
An interesting ride
I devour anything
Lying around
A true scavenger
To be found
If the sea is heavy
I can do it tough
Seek out areas
Not so rough
If you take me away
From waters edge
I’ll cook in my shell
With thoughts that sledge
So next time your down
The ocean way
And you spot a crab
On a good day
Stop and think
About this write
An amuse yourself
About my plight .....

Natural Mystic

There's a natural mystic
Blowing through the air
If you listen carefully now you will hear
This could be the first trumpet
Might as well be the last
Many more will have to suffer
Many more will have to die
Don't ask me why

Things are not the way they used to be
I won't tell no lie
One and all got to face reality now
Though I try to find the answer
To all the questions they ask
Though I know it's impossible
To go living through the past
Don't tell no lie

There's a natural mystic
Blowing through the air
Can't keep them down
If you listen carefully now you will hear
Such a natural mystic
Blowing through the air

This could be the first trumpet
Might as well be the last
Many more will have to suffer
Many more will have to die
Don't ask me why

There's a natural mystic
Blowing through the air
I won't tell no lie
If you listen carefully now, you will hear
There's a natural mystic
Blowing through the air

Such a natural mystic, blowing through the air
There's a natural mystic blowing through the air
Such a natural mystic, blowing through the air
Such a natural mystic, blowing through the air

No Mistakes

When my hopes fade
And my dreams die.
And I find no answer
By asking why.
I just keep on trusting
And hang on to my faith.
Because God is just
He never makes mistakes.
Should the storms come
And trials I must face.
When I find no solution
I rest in God's grace.
When life seems unfair
And more than I can take.
I look up to the Father
He never makes mistakes.
God sees our struggles
And every bend in the road.
But no mistake is ever made
Cause He weighs every load.

A plague on the lands

Each to their own in troubled times
whatever gets you through
I don't personally feel the need to daily win the approval
of a supernatural being on the basis if he is around
it's likely he's got more critical things to get onto over the trifling desires or fears
of one in 7 billion living on a whirling speck in a non-descript region of a galaxy
far from the centre of town as we know it.
I'm sure he thinks it best I just shape up and carve my own destiny.
Nor do I feel particularly comfortable with,
and I doubt he really has any time for,
24 hour observance and judgement of my actions
that totalitarianism is the sort of regime
any forthright Christian should be well opposed to
But if you do have a direct line to the Creator
I don't think it might be too indulgent to ask
just why he may have visited
a plague on the populace
where indiscriminate targetting of victims
seems to be the measure of the day
Can they all be "sinners?"

The Month Of Everything

There's a song I want to sing
There is joy I need to bring
Have you heard of the holy wedding
It's happening soon in the month of everything

All of God's children everywhere
Will find joy beyond compare
The holy spirit will introduce a holy king
It's happening soon in the month of everything

Mysteries will be revealed destiny will be fulfilled
And faith will be standing still
In the presence of The Lord while we sing
In the month of everything

believe

is it wrong to set aside my limits and believe
to enter a creation of thought and mystery
to understand that things may change within my belief,
in what though,
in me,
in you,
in destiny,
in God,
to trust the understandings of my mind
or to go with the great devine,
with so much said and such great debates i find myself confused,
if i believe in me will i create chaos within my own doubts,
to believe in you.. wait there aren't you me,
these thoughts are haunting me,
i just want to be free.
