Crucify me do

I have done my share of falling down
I have battled through the rough,
found the strength within
through belief in the path I took.

I have felt the kiss of betrayal
I have turned the other cheek,
only to have the other side kissed
with lies and deceit.

I have laid bare and naked
garments removed against will,
but still I stood with head held up
I have no shame in mans sin.

I have worn the crown of mockery
being whipped by some for who I am,
watched whilst others defied me
oh the shame of cowardly man.

As I sit here upon my mountain
do to me now your very worst,
and forgive for i do know what I do
when I lift my eyes and you I curse.

Still, I lay myself in your mercy,
with outstretched arms as if but instead I cry,
be it as angel or as person
let thy will be done..let me fly.

About this poem:
This poem is about parking the cross for a while to dream a little, before flight.... either that or its about being tired of one's luck.

NOT THE PERFECT WOMAN

Here we are again on the date site
Maybe we will find our mate tonight
Excitement and anticipation building
We flip through profiles and find it discouraging

You want the woman who is the perfect weight
She has to be perfect to be your mate
Love to travel, camp, snuggle and sexy kisser
And oh she has to be a great fisher

It’s enough to make a girl feel discouraged and a failure
To go on looking everyday takes more and more courage
All she wants is for someone to love her as she is
Not a super model with lipstick that can’t be kissed

So be careful guys for what you ask for
Less maybe best instead of more and more
Yes the chemistry must be there
But we are not all blondes and perfect – so be fair

Do you want someone whose hair cannot be messed
Or someone who loves you and thinks you’re the best
Someone who ends up a nightmare instead of a dream
Or a best friend who could help and play on your team

Another night and again we girls look with hope in our heart
That the one guy right for us will see how wonderful we are
That he will look for the true person behind the face
Not just all sugar, spice and lace

About this poem:
2/18/2020: Beware! There is a troll loose in the the CS poetry section.

Reading all the guys profiles, it seems like that they all want a wonder woman who likes to do all the things they like to do (guy things)and she needs to look like a supermodel to boot.

Oh well - I must admit we women too fantasize on our perfect man - but if the chemistry is there - I believe the chemistry is what makes the person perfect in OUR eyes. However, people can be false and leer you in with that chemistry and you don't realize it until it's too late.

No Monkey Business

Monkeys were never us;
our entrance is more than theory.
I came standing erect and complete.
The dust was to indulge (except of the tree)
in the place provided, where the voice walked
in the cool of the day.

Leopards and lambs,
like Puppy Yellow
and the calico moving balls of yarn;
the fallen, like a snake,
wooed the woman that queried
and she went away towing her husband.

I am out of character, image,
likeness of the Divine
whose flood sculpted mountains and isles,
there, dividing men
and painted them
in new colors with freezing fingers.

Sasquatch, your blurred trace,
speaks loud of the instrument now used.
Of me Ibrahim was assured.
The pyramids are mathematics the God teaches;
their wisdom raised the boulders
(the two Gods that share the Spirit).
I mosey through a sea to be here;
this point where they are history?

Monkeys were never us. If so,
who limits the fruition? I still see them
tree-hopping.
I am Enoch walking with him,
lodging far afield the daughters of men.
I occur with an enormous bang
far superior to a hypothesis.

God versus Free Will

If a God exists as is perceived,
there's no free will, as is believed,

I travel on my pre-destined ways,
organised by he who says,

For he would know well in advance,
my plans, my thoughts, its not by chance,

If I'm in this world by his design,
tis he who knows, he draws the line,

When I was born he would know the date,
of my demise, my final fate,

He would know my plans, what I would do,
my good deeds, my bad ones too,

I'd have no choice, I can't change lanes,
or throw a dice,,or take the reins,

If I am a product of his creation,
should I dance with joy, with elation?

For he would have made me what I am,

and knew.............

exactly............

what I'd do,

So, if I'm good, it's by his hand,
and I get to see the promised land,

If I'm bad, and I should fall,
twas he also made that call,

He cant complain or punish me
for things I've done that he could see,

And if I'm flawed, it's not down to me,
Look to God,
if thats how I came to be,

I didn'nt make myself you see,.

my life I dont need to justify,
if I do,,,,,,,

It's all a lie,,

~to start is to end~

Is it written to see, is it written to tell, will we learn to let go and thrive and continue to grow, will we fall or will we rise to set a precedence, to pretend is to fall to grow is to show what's inside to let it flow, to understand your inner glow, to rule without passion is insanity, to rule with dignity is for us to see, let us speak the world screams, let us be free the future calls us to be, the start of an humane humanity.

The Invitation

You have been invited to another day of life
And the invitation fills your heart with delight
The morning sun glistens through the leaves on the trees

And a gentle breeze seems to caress your face
Being aware of this time and place
You have been invited to another day of grace

The birds sing and the meadow green
Among your surroundings summer flowers come into view
An invitation to another day of knowing God loves you

Answers?

So many searching for answers, why there is good and bad?
It’s all there plain to see, you’ve been told throughout history,
You recite the words then preach your way, but you never learn
No one has say, and that is how it’s meant to be, when you are
Ready you will see, these words mean nothing, open to ridicule,
Just have an open mind and you will find you’re not subject
To common rule.

SUMMER NIGHT

The sun slowly drifted away and shadows crept in
The air slightly cooler as the darkness deepened
Creatures scurrying to their dens while still light
Others waking up to welcome the dark night

Edge of the world trimmed in pink, purple, orange, gold and red
Like apologizing for the colorless black night ahead
The moon and planets debuting in the sky
With constellations and stars of summertime

Scary ragged black shapes silhouetted against the sky
Reaching upward with crooked branches way up high
Black bats flitting around catching tiny buzzing wings
While a large ground chorus is warming up to sing

A mist on the pond like a low cloud from the sky
Adding a mystic air to the night-time cries
Floating like a ghostly mass across the earth
Providing cover for many night-time critters to lurk

Soon several mixed voices fill the night-time air
Soothing the soul like a bedtime prayer
Open windows inviting the night sounds in
Drifting to sleep by the Lullaby on the wind

Live from the Stoning Ground

.. and now we cross to our anchormen down at the stoning ground..
"Well another big night Yossi, for all you viewers at home we've got a full card of action all going straight hot to the satellite.."
"Terrific, who's on the card Levi?"
"Well first up we have two homosexuals, always a crowd pleaser, a sun worshipper, then a promiscuous woman.. its going to be a big night."

"First up the homosexuals, they look like they care for each other, does seem a bit cruel don't you think Levi?"
"Leviticus 20:13 Yossi, can't sidestep that one, God's punishment, and here come the stones.."
"Now on to a sun worshipper, but it is Gods creation is it not Levi?"
"Deuteronomy 17:2-7 Yossi, launch the stones.."
" And next the wife who slept with the neighbour, quite a transgression given they were both married Levi?"
"Quite a transgression Yossi, Leviticus 20:10 in action, pile on the stones"

"Well that's half-time, think I will duck out and give a prayer to the loving God Yossi"
"Yes might be worth your while Levi"

When The Soft Rains Fall (War-Time)

When the soft rain falls on the grass

In darkness hides not the mummer

That each rain drop striking each blade

Drops by fragile drop through summer

The work and worries of the daylight

Vanish completely from its mindful turn

The only clue in the soft echos of midnight

Bouncing softer and softer upon each return

Not a few fluttering wings has us taught

That the moths of each season will persist

What war and injustice has brought

Would nature not care if humans exist

For in herself is woven one need

The tapestry of forests mixed in fog

Untouched by the impostures greed

The buzz of bees in and out of a hollow log

Who in her nest still sings her merry song

While distant mates shrill as battle’s call

Just what brings happiness to us all along

Scarcely be made for any of us at all
