Trust In The Unseen

As it is written, we will have troubles in life on this little blue planet
We confess our mistakes and ask for forgiveness, He’ll never again remember it
Pray every day, morning, noon an night especially before you fall asleep
Rest assured He hears them all and chooses which ones to keep

This world is so broken that as us believers in Christ we should love everyone we see
Lead them, guide them and some we must plant a seed in hopes that it will grow eventually
Some will flourish and others will fade away and die and we shouldn’t stop there
Perhaps with some people all we have left is the Gospel we attempt to share

The Lord Jesus Christ is everywhere and He is always watching over us
Some deny His existence and if true then where did humans come from
Just the mortal body alone is an incredible divine design and that’s a plus
Try to imagine if you will that He spoke the words “let there be light” and there’s the sun

God will either speak to your conscious, your mind, even your ears
If you want to hear His voice try laying down in a closed room with no distractions
You can talk or whisper and even just think to Him because all of them He hears
The sign of the cross, church, pastors and praise team leaders is a strong attraction

I used to fear many things in my life, drowning, falling or getting in a car accident
I thought that once you were dead that it’s done, over, and you fade away into nothingness
The Lord told me, “You have nothing to fear, and look forward to the future and repent”
This life is a vapor compared to Eternity in Heaven which is limitless and a never ending experience

MAN MADE GOD

Muslims, Christians and even Jews
you know your holy books aren't true,
There is no god of Abraham,
Man made god not god made man
No taking snake, no Adam no Eve
All those stories are make believe
No fall from grace no Cain no Able,
It is all just another fable
Just look at the story of Noah's ark
a six hundred year old man , it makes me laugh,
and as for two of every animal on his boat,
It wouldn't be big enough and it wouldn't float
And in geology not a trace can be found
Of a world wide flood that drowned all land
The one thing all your religions lack
is any support from any know facts

Sometimes I'm me

Sometimes im me.
Sometimes I'm who I want to be , but that gets me nowhere.
Sometimes I'm you , but how do I know if I'm doing that right because who knows who you really are?
Sometimes I'm them , even though I hate all that they represent, it's the only way to get by in this world.
Sometimes I'm me and these are the times when I want to be alone,
Sometimes I'm confused,
and then I realize it's meant to be that way,

Because sometimes I'm me......

Twin Towers - A Tale of Two Rails

Underneath two of the tallest buildings in the world
We were a part of an extensive piece of rail
People coming and going – busy everyday
We were proud to be part of the world trade

It started out as a beautiful September day
The sky was blue and clear – not grey
Suddenly there was a tremendous roar
Then an explosion that shook every floor

The sound of the fire was deafening and loud
People were running down the stairs and out
Meanwhile firemen and policemen came in
Heroically risking their lives for all those within

Suddenly another roar hit the second one
Both were burning with heat hot as the sun
We saw horrible sights and will never forget
Terrorists had hijacked and hit them with 2 jets

Suddenly the Twin Towers caved in – all the floors
We were buried underneath listening in horror
Then there was a deathly quiet for a long time
Until the rescuers came searching through the grime

We were moved to an island and carefully stored
Thinking we were not a part of the towers any more
Sad and lonely we sat for 15 long years
Remembering each year the fear and crying tears

Now we are in the sunshine in this quiet peaceful place
We now sit on top of this beautiful granite base
To remind the visitors who come to never forget
The day that terrorists came and posed a threat

Others have also since loss their lives each day
To keep us safe from terrorists come what may
We are here to say – We will never forget
We were part of the Twin Towers that we represent

About this poem:
9/11/2017 Update: The Memorial is still there with nothing changed. I changed the picture because last year when I took the picture it wasn't completed yet. Now the flag is flying high and proud over the monument! It is now the 16th Anniversary. This event affected me deeply as that is when I started writing poems. I had never written poetry at all or attempted. The emotions in me were so overwhelming that it started to spill out into words as a release of the pressure.

9/11/2016: My town is in the process of erecting a monument to the Twin Towers/World Trade Center, Pentagon and the flight that went down in Pennsylvania. This year is the 15th Anniversary of the attack on 9/11/2001. Highlight of the monument is the two rails that were underneath at Ground Zero. I watched them weld them to the top of the granite stones and became very emotional thinking about what they had been through. There is more going to be done on the monument and I will change the picture when it is completed.

Stay a little bit

Stay a little bit
With me.

Just today.

Yesterday is gone.
Tomorrow not yet come.

Just today.

I have only one moment
… Of time.

Feel free ….
You may go …. but

Stay a little bit
With me.

Not much time….
Is blink of eyelid …
For eternity.

You are free to go
But…
Stay a little bit
With me.

I want to remember
The moments when
Last sleep comes.

I will dream
The dream of us,
The peace in my heart.
I will be clothed
With your tender.
Will keep me warm.

I will be prepared
To leave…
In eternity.
And you will be with me.

Please.
Stay a little bit
with me.
Not let me go so soon.
... Alone.
Please. Please

LIFE IS A GIFT (NOT)

"LIFE IS A GIFT" according to some alleged deity
what god gives a 'gift' wrapped in atrocity
At some point everyone must question that concept
how could you not considering life's mostly inept

If life's some great gift what happened to mine
maybe it wasn't meant for me to be in that line
My heart constantly bleeds due to human sorrow
for too many life's supposed gift rings hollow

People suffer needlessly on this god-forsaken Earth
ask them what their 'Gift of Life' has been worth
How about "Gifts" born physically and/or mentally unfit
their life wouldn't qualify as a 'Gift' you must admit

I didn't willfully choose to become some pessimist
this pathetic excuse of a world tops reasons list
I'm cognizant this life was a so-called blessing from above
a REAL LOVING GODS 'gift' would've been all about love

Obviously 'Gift' has different meanings because life's no present
ONE absolute about our existence is it's unequivocally unpleasant

My Female Other Half - Past Lives

I think in some past lives, I was a girl,
Swept down that river - Sacred Feminine;-
And like the shell which once contained a pearl,
Was washed by Time, and freed of all my sin.

Some men say I am hard - and others strange,
They do not know the half of it I say;-
Great Cosmic Engine, where atoms re-arrange,
And Energies disperse and go their Way.

Many times re-born, and died, great wheel of Time;-
That spins the stars around - great light of day,
And when it's night, those stars begin their climb,
To shower Earth and Heaven with each ray.

I feel echo of past lives, which once were mine;-
Feel the sense of some great Eternity;-
I feel it as my pen construes this rhyme,
Made of stardust from some distant Galaxy.

I feel it when I meet a lady's eyes,
(I'm happy in the body I'm in now);-
Although it never comes as a surprise;-
To feel afresh, what I already know.

God, are you there?

I Bring to you my wounded soul
My heart can mend its own
For my soul is not my claim
Its yours, I learnt this as i grow
So tell me Lord, if you love my soul
Why is it in despair?
I know I'm not the only one
So to seek answers for me alone will be unfair
Oh Almighty God, God of Moses, Elijah and David
Where are you when i call,?
When I shout and scream to the top of my voice
'OH MY GOD, rescue my injured soul"
You can make the choice
But for me, there is no sleep and the desire to eat is gone
Should I count you the same as my appetite my God
"Gone"
But if you exist, why torture me, and leave me here in this cruel earth alone
And imagine the words on man comfort the broken by what the call your own word
'Your ways are higher than our ways, your thoughts are higher than our thoughts, no one can understand your council My God'
So is your promise true? If your words are life so then answer!
'why have you abandoned those that need you so much'

WHAT'S THIS LIFE FOR

"What's This Life For" we've contemplated evermore
longing to know eats feverishly at our inner core
All interpretations fall far short of sound
maybe in death reason for being is found

An Almighty proclaimed to have given life to humanity
a supposed "Gift" he knew was bound to be a calamity
Reality proves life is many things but a gift it is not
It's consistent heartache culminating six feet under to rot

It's sinister to give a "Gift" filled with constant sorrow
and assure joy is something we can occasionally borrow
He commanded we abide by rules knowing it wasn't feasible
some were obvious but expecting compliance to all unreasonable

What was the point of human existence beyond Adam and Eve
one sin warranted his decision 'humanity must forever grieve'
Putting all faith in a book of fairy tales is arduous at best
and never questioning what you can't see...surely you jest

Why create a life you predetermined to be an agonizing chore
all I've said raises the unanswerable "What's This Life For"
