Welcome to Raghokuith (Part 2)

I was thinking what is a Raghokuith or who is it
When I turned I was shocked, she was about four foot one
Lovely looking in all the right places, but, but ,but
She had four eyes, not the usual four eyes glasses type
But pale blue one, two, three, four eyeballs type
"What are you staring at?' she asked me,"is my bra showing."
I managed to stutter something about those pale blue eyes
"Yes" she said,"my best feature, all the boys go crazy.'
With that she winked her two left eyes at me, twice
"Come on, we cannot hang around here, too dangerous
You landed right in the middle of the migration route."
Just as she finished I heard a weird noise getting closer
"Quick, under your yellow metal beast and not a word"
She shoved me under there without a minutes hesitation
And there is not that much room under a Ford XF Ute
From where I was at first all I could see were hairy legs
Eight hairy legs per creature, oh my God, oh my God
These were spiders, not the garden variety or size
But huge, big enough to step over the car with one step
Do you say one step when they have eight legs, don't know
Seems that even under these circumstances I get curious
I was about to ask a question, she must have sensed it
Her hand quickly clamped over my mouth so no sound escaped
It seemed like forever but probably about five minutes
When the beasts were all gone and her hand relaxed
"Arachnipodes" she answered before I could even ask
"Kill you in five stecs" she saw my blank look
"Five of your seconds, no cure or antidote, you dead"
This was too much for me "where the hell am I"
She looked at me blankly like you would at a silly child
Pointed to the two suns in the sky, "here not earth"
"My name Ettiemarie, I live here, you follow me
Soon you find out, for now, welcome to Raghokuith"

Legend of Mara (Part XLVI)

Just when they thought that they were lost and would never come back up the Kra righted itself and rose upwards again. This time it seemed as if it wanted to reach right up into the sky and at the last second it turned and once again plunged downwards. On and on this movement continued. High up into the sky and then downwards into the depths of the ocean. The movements were so rough that the villagers thought that surely the Kra would break apart any moment.

Mara was everywhere trying to lend comfort to her people. Over and over she kept telling them that God would not bring them this far just to let them perish. To have faith in God's wisdom and kindness. God saved them from something that would have destroyed them back at Hamburg. Obviously God was a gentle and just God and that they were safe in his hands. Slowly the people calmed down and as they started to put their trust in God what was happening outside no longer frightened them.

All night long the seas boiled in their fury and the Kra madly bounced around. Inside however peace reigned in contrast to the turmoil outside. People were mannaging to sleep here and there. Others whose duties involved looking after the animals went about their task relatively cheerful. They weren't exactly singing, after all it was still bouncing them around, but there was none of the earlier panic. Even the animals were settling because their handlers were so calm.

Slowly as the day was breaking the waves were also subsiding. No longer was the Kra bouncing so madly but starting to settle into a steady roll. By the time the sun was fully out the sea had completely calmed down. Mara had a quick look outside to see if anything was to be seen. From horizon to horizon was nothing but water. Mara decided to gather her people together to give thanks to God for saving them from harm at Hamburg and for having his covering protection around them during the storm.

It was time for breakfast and to make the rounds. She checked on all the animals to see that they were comfortable and all their need s taken care off. Then she went to check on all the equipment to assure herself that none had come adrift during the storm. Everything had been well lashed down and nothing had drifted loose. That in itself was a miracle considering the pounding that had taken place during the storm.

After all had been completed it was time for her to relax a bit and get some fresh air. As she went up top and looked over the ocean she could not believe what she saw.

Legend of Mara (Part XLV)

One minute they were there in Hamburg, next they were gone. Lifted through the sky far out onto the sea. Everyone including Mara were in a state of shock. It was one thing knowing that something had to move the Kra but it was another matter to actually be in it and be a part of this. Slowly people shrugged off their shock. At first it was only a couple that were talking but it was not long and everyone was involved.

Where were they heading and how long would it take? It was these sort of questions they were discussing amongst themselves. Some headed up on top to look around if they could see anything. Nothing but water as far as the eye could see. For all they knew they could be the only ones left in the world. It was a very sobering thought which led to the question as to what happened to Hamburg.

There were gentle swells that rocked the Kra ever so gentle. The sun was streaming down heating everything to an almost unbearable level. None of the villagers were used to such heat or such bright skies. Not a single cloud could be seen in the sky. Even the swells had stopped and the sea was like glass. There was not a single breath of wind. Everything was totally still. It was like being on dry land.

Things still had to be done but it was such a chore. The animals had to be fed and the stalls cleaned out. Food had to be prepared for the meal that night. Due to the heat Bier rations were given out. That seemed to lift peoples spirits and they went about their chores more cheerful. Some even started singing with others joining in. Soon the whole Kra reverberated with the sound of singing. Even Mara and Hulderic joined in.

No-one had noticed the sky turn dark until the sound of thunder. Shocked people went outside and looked to the sky. What they saw frightened them. Massive dark clouds were rolling across the sky like a herd of angry buffalo. Here and there the sky was rent by lightning. The sea was becoming stirred up and the Kra increasingly rocked from a gentle rock to a more savage movement. Rougher and rougher the sea became.

The waves towered over the Kra. The poor villagers were struck down by fear. Suddenly a gigantic wave came and lifted the Kra high into the sky before plunging it deep into the waves. It seemed that it was so deep that they must reach the ocean bottom soon.

Legend of Mara (Part XLIV)

Day 7

This was the day. What was going to happen today? Everyone was wondering. They were sitting around breakfast talking about the last six days. It had been hard work packing up a whole village to go who knew where. But when God speaks, and they all heard him speak, you don’t question, you just obey.

They knew something strange must be happening because they could see the Slithers coming down from the hills. There were many more months to come before it was slither season, yet there they were coming down. They would find nothing here to eat as everything was in the Kra and they would not be able to get in.

Mara ordered the doors to be tightly closed. From now on nothing could get in or out of the Kra. Mara had made sure that no-one had gone out before she sealed the Kra by checking everyone of her list. Yes everyone was here and no-one had been foolish enough to go out. Stranger still they could see a Wildschwein coming out of the forest heading towards the village. All of a sudden they could see quite a few of them coming down and even a few Schlangen were coming too. This was completely unheard of.

They changed direction and headed towards the Kra as if to find shelter within from whatever was going to happen. The sky was cloudless and the sun was shining. It appeared to be a perfect day, much nicer day than what normally it would be so what was causing these animals to act so strangely.

Suddenly, as if a giant hand had reached down from the sky, they were lifted high into the sky. They could see the village below them as if in miniature. Just as suddenly they were back down but there was water all around them with no sight of land. All were in a state of shock. What had happened?

Legend of Mara (Part XLII)

Day 5

It was getting closer and closer to the day. Today was a funny sort of day. Not really wet but you could almost cut the humidity with a knife. Or in other words if you hung out a towel it would get wet instead of dry. it was the sort of day that you just did not feel like doing anything. It was a real struggle to just move without doing work on top of it.

Mara had to use all her powers of persuasion to get her people moving. First she got Ignatz motivated. He had to organise to pack and move the Smallgoods machinery. There were smoke ovens to smoke the beautiful hams and speck that he produced. Meat mincers and mixers. Sausage making equipment. There were cool rooms and curing rooms, not to mention slaughter rooms. All these had to be dismantled and stowed aboard the Kra.

It was getting harder and harder to motivate everyone. Everytime she turned around someone was sitting down. Getting them back up was proving to be a difficult task. She decided to get Dietfried to hand out Bier rations. Not too much at once as she did not want everyone falling around in a drunken stupor but she was hoping that by giving them a ration it might encourage them to work.

It seemed to be working as they now were up and dismantling the cool rooms. They moved those into the Kra and unfortunately had to re-assemble them in there to keep the meat fresh. Once they were re-assembled they were quickly stocked up again with all the meat products. The curing rooms followed but they did not have to be assembled again. The slaughter rooms were dis-assembled and moved piecemeal aboard. That only left the smoke ovens. Once they were aboard it was all the easy small items that had in the meantime been boxed up.

They were already working in the dark to finish up but Mara felt that they could not afford to fall behind. What would God do if they were not ready? Mara did not want to find out. So eventually day five came to an end. Sore and aching they all went home. Mara stayed alone under the stars to talk to God. She asked why this was happening, but really did not expect an answer. Finally she too went home to lay in the arms of her beloved Hulderic.

Legend of Mara (Part XLI)

Day 4

They expected the worst, especially considering the Kra had shook all night long. It had shook that bad that everyone was convinced that it had even moved somewhat. Not too far, but moved nonetheless. The sun was shinning and instead of everything being flattened there was no sign at all of damage. It was unbelievable. They rubbed their eyes convinced that they were playing tricks on them, but no, no damage whatsoever. There was only one explanation, God had covered them with his protection so that they could finish the job in time.

Mara thought that it was prudent, after what had happened to give thanks to God for saving them and their belongings. It was given to the Shaman to perform a ceremony. They all gathered together while the Shaman gave thanks. For once he thought it was advisable to keep it short and not go on for an extended period. Once finished it was time to work.

Today Mara decided it was the turn of the Bakery to be loaded. She consulted with Annegret and Emmerich as to which order they advised. It was decided that the complete baking oven would be taken. This was a building on it's own with a large oven for bread, buns etc and a smaller oven which was used for cakes. Stone by stone it was dismantled and carried into the Kra. With everyone lending a hand it went quicker than at first anticipated.

Now that the ovens were loaded it was the turn of the rest of all the equipment. There was mixing machines which were not too heavy. There was various trays and forms. Baking paddles and mixing spoons. Rollers and cutters, biscuit forms and cake trays and not to forget the famous Gugelhupf in various sizes from a one person size to the large size that could be used for special occasions. One thing after another was loaded on. The different grains and all the different flours. All the products that had been baked were all loaded on.

The thing they were going to have the most trouble with they left for last. The grinding mill. Round and round they walked trying to figure out how they were going to move it. Finally it was Mara who came up with the idea of using beams and rope that by running the rope along some wheels would allow them to lift the grinding mill which weighed several tonnes. Once it was loaded there was feasting. Night had just fallen and another productive day was done.

Legend of Mara (Part XL)

Day 3

The sky covered with dark angry clouds that appear to be ready to open up and drown the country side. Every now and then there was a flicker of lightning over the sea. That the lightning was over the sea was a bad omen. Storms from that direction were unusually severe. It was very rare that they came from there but when they did devastation could easily follow. The last one was before Mara was born and Ewald was busy telling anyone who was unfortunate to be within his range all about the damage that was caused.

Mara decided that it might be best to get the animals loaded into the Kra. The men were sent up into the hills to bring down the cows and the oxen. Women were sent to gather the sheep and goats. Even the children were sent to gather the chickens, ducks, and other various fowls that were kept.

It wasn't too long before the men were seen in the distance driving the cows down. It appeared that the cows were none too happy having their routine interrupted and especially their pleasant grazing. They managed to stow the cows away safely and headed back for the oxen. Now the oxen would be a different matter all together. They were used for working purposes, like hauling logs, rocks, etc. and would not give them any trouble.

Meanwhile the women had turned up with the sheep. They were milling around and as sheep are wont to do were just about climbing over each other. Once they managed to get a few into the Kra the rest were happy to follow. Goats were a totally different story. For some reason the goats were a bit spooked and were playing up. Annegret lost some concentration and did not see the goat behind her. Next thing she was sailing through the air and landed with a heavy thud.

She was up and cursing that goat swearing that if she caught it it would end up in her pot. When she realised that everyone around her was roaring with laughter she calmed down and looked a bit sheepish. Even the men who had gone to get the oxen had returned just in time to see Annegret fly through the air. For many years after when people gathered for drinks they would discuss the day Annegret flew like a duck.

The children brought all the chickens and ducks and they were all stowed away along with other various assorted fowls. The roosters were a bit of a problem at first but when their girls disappeared into the Kra they meekly followed, after all, what is a rooster without his girls. The pigs were the easiest to load up. They were happy to follow the trail of food into the Kra.

Just as they finished loading up the last animal the skies opened up and the rain gushed down as if it was a waterfall. Seeing that they were all in the Kra, Mara decided it might be best to stay there for the night. All night the Kra shook as the ferocious storm raged outside. It was a long and anxious night. Finally when dawn arrived the storm seemed to abate and finally stopped. When they stepped outside they could not believe what met their eyes.

The Woodgoreth Scented Bloom

I have walked through the woods and seen the light
This light by which the Woodgoreth scented blooms
And none which dare to treadeth within this might
To risk all on this weary night where none but death looms
The Woodgoreth scented bloom where men face insanity
And crawl beneath the earth to hide under roots
Once again the message goes forth, to seek humanity
But none are found, you shall know them by their fruit
As to who or why and what or when
These are questions that all are awaiting
For here or there not only now and then
To these questions the answers are relating

Laiaia...

As I looked down at my feet, they were talons,
As I moved up my body, I noticed it was covered with white feathers,
I was a huge white eagle, and I was perched on a huge tree in a vast savannah-like landscape...

Sweet, exotic music reached my ears faintly,
I rose into the air and followed the melody,
Soon I was circling the clearing from which it was emanating,
Far down below a group of pygmy-like, fair-skinned people were dancing, laughing and singing, their dance movements resembling a rhythmic tai-chi kind of dancing,
Someone spotted me and soon everyone was calling to me in a language I understood to come down and frolic with them,
As I was descending I noticed that I was changing shape,
I took the form of a man,
As I alighted I was greeted with much joy and mirth,
And I just naturally joined in the dancing-circle...

When the music stopped, we walked towards their dwellings where a sweet aroma of food cooking permeated the air,
We sat down and ate with our hands from large communal bowls,
‘So, where have you been playful wind’ someone asked,
All eyes were on me and I realized they were addressing me,
‘Oh, here and there’, I replied, smiling broadly,
‘Typical’, someone said, ‘he never gets specific does he?’,
We ate and enjoyed each others’ company and pleasant, light-hearted banter for hours it seemed...

As is common in exploring other life-times, I then caused my awareness to move forward a number of years to an event that is supposed to be significant to my present timeline,
It was my wedding day; evidently I took a mate from among these wonderful, simple and very easy-going people and lived happily among them for many, many years...

I once again made the move forward in time to the time of my ‘death’ in that time-line,
It was a wondrous experience,
My body, which had not aged one iota,
Was on a pyre burning ceremoniously,
Everyone was singing happily, as my essence arose from the ashes and I was waving a ‘till we meet again’ kind of wave to my companions for that life-time...

It was now time for me to rejoin my present body and time-line,
After I was fully re-integrated, I pondered the significance of why my subconscious took me to that experience:-
I have been too ‘heavy’, too serious again lately,
I have been too polemic again lately,
I have been too aggressive again lately,
My heart was getting too hard again,
I was too deficient in phenylethylamine, the so-called ‘molecule of love’ again,
I have caught myself identifying too much with the present ‘reality’...

Lesson...?
Lighten up, EGT,
Slow down and consider the roses,
Soften your heart,
Smile, laugh, sing more,
Detach, detach, detach more,
Love, love, love more...

Looking at Clouds

Have you ever just layed in the grass
Looking at clouds as they slowly pass
If you are creative in the least at all
A mirage of pictures that you can recall
Animals and people slowly pass by
Just lay in the grass and give it a try
I see a rabbit with a big fuzzy nose
He's eating a carrot beside a big rose
Look over there I can see a young girl
She meets a man who gives her a twirl
An elephant with a huge giant trunk
Oh my! He's scared of a little old skunk
Is that a bike or perhaps a motorcycle
The man on the seat looks like a psycho
An apple, an orange, a plum and a pear
Suddenly appear when nothing was there
A submarine appears in the distance
Periscope down as it dives for defense
I see an angel with such silver wings
I take her hand and imagine she sings
So you see looking at clouds can be fun
Don't stay too long or you'll burn in the sun
There is no end to the things that I see
Except when the image becomes blue sea
Its rocking me now slowly to sleep
Im drifting off with new pictures to keep
