Amber Hawkes and the Dragon's Fire

Red hair worn in plaits, always with a smile.
Amber Hawkes, the female wizard with a spellbook on her hip
Her eyes meet with the dragon's glare, and she's ready for the fight
No fear in her heart, her magic will ignite

Amber Hawkes, with her spells of fire and ice
She'll take on any challenge, and she won't think twice
Through the trials and the flames, she'll emerge victorious
For Amber Hawkes is the hero, always glorious

The dragon's breath was fierce, its flames were hot
But Amber's magic shielded, and she fought with all she's got
The battle raged on, as the dragon continued to roar
But Amber's spells were stronger, and she couldn't be ignored

Amber Hawkes, with her spells of fire and ice
She'll take on any challenge, and she won't think twice
Through the trials and the flames, she'll emerge victorious/ For Amber Hawkes is the hero, always glorious

The dragon let out a final roar, as it fell to the ground
Amber stood victorious, with no need to look around
For the spell book on her hip, and the magic in her soul
She's Amber Hawkes, the wizard, and she's unstoppable

Amber Hawkes, with her spells of fire and ice
She'll take on any challenge, and she won't think twice
Through the trials and the flames, she'll emerge victorious
For Amber Hawkes is the hero, always glorious.

Brandobaris and the Dragon Part Three

Brandobaris just stood
holding his sisters stalk of wheat
And the dragon breathed in
And the dragon breathed in
and in and in and in
and then?

The dragon breathed out breath of fire
But Brandobaris was no longer staning there
For he had flipped up in to the air
To Land down on the old reds back
Such an elegant jump what a leap
A somersault with half twist, landing firmly on his feet
An Arm raised up holding high his sisters stalk of wheat
And then he began to Whack
whack wack whack
went the stalk of wheat
all allong the side of the dragons hide
and it knocked him off his feet

Crack Crack Carck
The wheat stalk seemed to sing,
and although it tried the dragon could not fly
as Brandobaris beat his wings

smack smack smack
again and again and again
till the dragon had to run away
for it could not stand the pain

From the cave to the valley all the way down
Whiping the crying dragon in to the town
and all of the Hin there gathered round
for of that dragon they had no more fear
Brandobaris told the Dragon leave and soon
if you ever came back. I'll beat you with my Mothers broom
And unlike my sisters wheat stalk it will put you in a tomb.
The dragon flew away, and all the Hin folk gave a cheer

What of the Dragon treasure? you may all ask
the towns folk had a skeaking task
All Part of the plan now unmasked
It involves a secret door
The Game was so Brandobaris could disstract
while Hin snuck in the cave behind the dragons back
they loaded on treasure took it away in sacks
of what he stole they got back ten times more

So the celerbration party did begin
Lasting for a week or more. You know's us Hin
But in joy there was some Sorrow remembering lost Kin
But they knew they'd all meet again someday
To the hero of the Hour they gave many many grand toasts
They filled him up with pie and beer they were the perfect hosts
before the party was over They had laid away all ghosts
But by then Brandobaris had quietly slipped away

Now along a dusty road bestrides
Mischief twinkling in his kind eyes
Under curly brown hair a face so wise
with a knowing little grin
Allthough not thin not roly-poly,
whistling a tune so Jolly
You could not be melancholy
there goes a very merry Hin

Brandobaris and the Dragon Part one

Along a dusty road I spied
Mischief twinkling in his kind eyes
Under curly brown hair a face so wise
with a knowing little grin
Allthough not thin not roly-poly,
whistling a tune so Jolly
You could not be melancholy
Comes a very merry Hin

This hins name was Brandobaris
And into a Hin town he did trot
Sat down near the well in a shady-Spot,
underneath a chestnut tree.
Looking a round for a while,
he saw many HIn and got quite riled
For not one Hin of them had smiled,
or offered him a cup of tea

He realised something was wrong
Mayhap he really knew it all along
not that important for this song
But what is, is what He saw
Clothes ragged exhausted hin
Hungry Children looking so thin
Fresh graves in a green field, and unhappy Kin
When he saw this Brandobaris swore

He saw Hin faces full of fear
So asked them what was happening here
Then an Elder spoke with little Cheer
About everything that had gone on
Speaking of the terrible plight
That had come to plague them one dark night
How it filled the town's folk full of fright
He told Brandybois of the Dragon
This Red Dragon living in a cave
Had stolen all, and made them slaves
And those hin who fought back now filled graves
And in the green field now do lie
All the town's goats pigs sheep and fowl
Have to go feed the dragon now
Of a way out they did now know how
Saddness filled Brandobaris eyes

Then Brandobaris had a thought so cunning
The very depths of trickery it would be plumming
So devious in scope it was stunning
Brandobaris told them of his Plan
Listening to him their eyes went wide
In truth many Hin there even smiled
If his plan worked they win back their pride
and drive the dragon from town

Brandobaris and the Dragon Part Two

So the very next morning he made his way
Up the mountain side to make the dragon pay
Chuckling with glee at trick he would play
He entered the Dragon's cave
The dragon lay there at it's repose
He awoke it, bouncing gold coins off it's nose
and from piles of treasure the old red angrily arose
Then to the dragon, This challenge he gave
A game of Cards with stakes very high
With all rules you must complie
And if I win away you must fly
treasure you have. you can be keepin'
We will both play without any deceit.
But I give fair warning if I you try to cheat
I'll give you a beating With my sisters stalk of wheat
If I lose, then I will be eaten

So this old evil red dragon cunning and wry
agreed to all rules, but he did lie,
thinking his appetite it would sharpen, with a smile so sly
and He'd eat this hin anyway.
Although the Old red thought the whole thing absurd
Beating this Hin wouldn't be so so hard
So the hin and the dragon started playing cards
and they played for many a many a long day

So they played cribbage, gin rummy, beggar-my-neighbour, go fish,
monte, seven-up, Snap, canasta and whist
poker pontoon canfield even switch.
And many a games I cant name
Day After day they played, never slackening in pace
wishing he never agreed to this in-the-first-place
for every hand the Dragon lost,
to him-was a slap-in -the-face.
And the dragon he lost every game
Nine hundred and ninety games went by
This just isnt right, the dragon he cried
I think you are cheating, the dragon he lied
this is'nt fair on me
Brandobaris then produced three cups and a Ball,
he said, one last game then? Winner take all?
to the winner the glory, to the loser the fall
one last game for victory?

Brandobaris placed the small ball under a cup
His hands moved in a Blur as he mixed them all up
The Dagron choose badly, he just had no luck
Poor Dragon, Oh what a shame
Up stood Brandobaris and he did say
You've lost dear Dragon now you must leave this day
Any treasure in your cave you may take away
for those were the rules of the game

At the mention of his treasure the Dragon turned around
but of his great hoard no trace of it he found
it was as if it had vanished in to the ground
The fault was the Hin's and now it would fry
Nasty little Hin do you take me for a fool?
Where is all my gold. What have you done with all my jewels
I not going to play anymore by the rules
So now Hin it's time to die

Song For Cordor

Cordor what will you do when winds blow bitter cold,
When your children are dying in the streets?
Do you turn blind eye?
Will you walk on by?
Past mothers of dead babies as they grieve and they weep.
Oh Cordor,
This is my song for you
Oh tell me Cordor
What are you gonna do?

Cordor what will you do if I tell you,
you grind poor people into meat?
If the truth be told,
I see lots of gold,
But I still see people dying cos they cant afford to eat
Oh Cordor,
you know what I sing is true.
Oh please Cordor,
Tell me what you're gonna do

Cordor make new plans to lend helping hands
Or it will be your utter ruin and defeat
I foresee a day
when there's barricades,
And the blood of the innocent will flow around your feet
Oh Cordor
Do what ever you can do
Save yourself Cordor
Dont let my words come true

About this poem:
Nerd time
I play Fantasy RPG games
In one D&D setting I play a Character that is a Bard
He writes and sings about the social evils he see's in an attempt to make the powers that be open their eyes to the suffering of the common folk of the city
So this song is really by by Allwyn Marcher
When he first performed on the Streets of Cordor, it got him beaten thrown out of a city by the city guards.

Eternal Strife, Endless Shadows

In the realm of twilight's veil, where darkness reigns supreme
A tale unfolds, of ancient pain, a war that can't redeem.
Elves, pure and fair, verses drow, twisted and cruel,
Bound by hatred's chains, forever locked in duel.

Eternal strife, shadows collide,
The ageless battle will forever ride.
Bitter scars carve their mark tonight,
As the children suffer, trapped in this fight.

Moonlit glades bear witness to the sorrow and despair,
As silver tears fall softly, sacred melodies in the air.
Elven kin, armored bright, resist the Drow's deceit,
But the treacherous Drow's, nocturnal whispers cruelly meet.

Eternal strife, shadows collide,
The ageless battle will forever ride.
Bitter scars carve their mark tonight,
As the children suffer, trapped in this fight.

Blood-soaked ground, echoes of history haunt,
A never-ending cycle, destiny's relentless taunt.
Will the future break free, or forever stay the same?
Only time will tell, as tears merge with the rain.

Elven children, innocent souls caught in the crossfire,
Their laughter fading, replaced by fear, as the world conspires.
But a glimmer of hope still pierces through the night,
As valiant heroes rise, fueled by compassion's light.

Eternal strife, shadows collide,
The ageless battle will forever ride.
Bitter scars carve their mark tonight,
As the children suffer, trapped in this fight.

So let us stand together, united, unafraid,
Break the chains of hatred, a new path to be made.
For the children we fight, their future in our hands,
In this bitter war, may peace and love once again expand.

Eternal Strife, Endless Shadows the echoes of a timeless war,
A haunting melody that has scarred us forevermore.

The bravest animal in the land

The bravest animal in the land is the Clover's Summoned Badger. He's just so grand
Cute and cuddly, made of all love, has very a strange obsession for having more than just one olive
He's the hero of Cordor's teaming throngs,
who tell tales of how he's righted wrongs

Now naughty, naughty drow on the make, kept the cityfolk folk awake
In fear and trembling every night
The naughty, naughty drow were the cities blight
Then one eve of darkest Moon,
A very big house went up boom
"My manor!", cried Lord Rivindor, " that happened how? "
Then Summoned badger started spitting bitsa naughty, naughty drow

When he saw his house lying flat he said "we cant let the blighters get away with that"
"I will be avenged there must be a way"
"To find those naughty, naughty drow and make them pay"
Said Min with a smile, "Have no fear!",
"Summoned badger and I will volunteer!"

Summoned badger led them all under ground, to where sneaky naughty, drow could be found,
They spied a rock and behind did hide,
waiting for the naughty, naughty drow to stroll by.
And soon along the trial did come,
two giggling naughty, naughty drow gloating over what they'd done

Then Noble Summoned Badger, stout of heart, Leaped out at the naughty drow, he gave them quite a start.
he bit them and he chomped them with sharp Summoned Badger teeth
He showed no quarter, he gave then no relief
I wont tell you what he did to them, for I must confess
very angry Summoned badgers tend to make a mess,

Back to the surface they did make their way, led by Summoned Badger, the hero of the day
"Hurrah! Huzzah!" Lord Rivindor cheered "my house has been avenged!"
"Against the naughty, naughty drow, I now have had revenge"
"How ever can I thank you? I know! my gold you can have all of."
"I'll take the coin", Min slyly smiled, "Summoned Badger just wants the olives"

The bravest animal in the land is the Clover's Summoned Badger. He's just so grand
Cute and cuddly, made of all love, has very a strange obsession for having more than just one olive
He's the hero of Cordor's teaming throngs,
who tell tales of how he's righted wrongs

The princess of Cafe Castle

Many a poet had written
of her beauty..
She was not unaware of
the exotic whispers that
blew through the snow
covered forests that boardered
the mighty castle
Yet, somehow, the words of
the poets fell deft on her lonely
heart though they drew their
words from the blinding gems
of sense and fragile human
passion
On dreary nights her fingertips
would gently carress a wine filled
golden golblet as she gazed across
a lonely landscape from her high and
lofty terrace
Only the mere flickering of candlelight
would illumine her royal quarters and
she would fondle the fringes of the castle
odrapery dreaming the dream of love
She only met him once on the field of
battle yet for those few moments their
eyes locked in time with a promise of love
safeguarded by an illusive wind
She would attend the royal banquets
She would dally with the court jesters
and even throw them the shadows of
an impossible hope
How long would the days drag on?
What were the chances that his hands
would lift her sleek form as a captured
doe and watch her lay limp in surendered
passion
The night had died
Her hope was dying as
she lay naked in tears
and black pearls
It was only that small
scuffled sound that brought
a tinge of hopefullness to
a darkened heart
A lone figure stood at the
entrance to her chamber..
It was him..
Silently, he approached
her bed letting drop his iron
helment
Her glazed eyes closed with
hot tears..
He fell upon her surendered
soul as a warrior takes the spoil
He was..The golden knight**

The Drow's Demise/ A song for the Black Archers

In the depths of the Underdark
Evil drow lurk, waiting to embark
On a journey of malevolence and spite
But we'll stop them dead tonight

With our blades and arrows, we'll cut through their ranks
We won't falter, we won't give thanks
For this is our mission, our calling, our fate
To rid the Underdark of their hate

The darkness consumes us, but we press on
Not seek rest till every drow is done
Our minds mayhap weary, our bodies mayhap weak
But we'll keep fighting till their total defeat

The Drow's Demise, it's what we seek
To bring an end to thier world, so very bleak
With vengence in our hearts minds and souls
We fight on till we reach our righteous goal

So let us sing a song of victory
For this battle won't be some mystery
Our hearts are pure, our cause is just
And with our music, we'll crush the drow As we must

Fuming Scales

Dragon fire casting spells,
Piercing fumes, a haze compels,
Toxic breath, it's hard to breathe,
Fiery wings set free.

Unleashing fury of the flame,
From ember to inferno it came,
A dragon's rage, a sight to fear,
Its fuming scales, all too clear.

A beast so mighty, free to roam,
In darkness, it calls home,
Its power knows no bounds,
And with a breath, all falls down.

Fuming scales, sharp as knives,
With roaring bellows, it thrives,
A predator, a primal force,
A dragon's power has no remorse
