Born of fire

Born of fire from the Dragon's breath,
Immortal creature, immune to death.
Eyes of amber, gleaming cold,
Claws of iron and scales of gold.
On the dragons back i fly away,
Soaring the skies for another day.
My heart alive with a pulsing beat,
And passions born of eternal heat.
We to and fro, twisted and twirled,
Through the clouds around the world.
Then diving down to the valley floor,
We glide to home once more.

Poets Twilight Corner

Do not attempt to adjust
your eyes
Do not marvel when you
read these words
You have entered a world
where mind and reason are
bent beyond the bounds of
space and time
You are between the edges
of shadow and candycane
reality
Here, we will collect the
fragments of your broken
consciousness and store
them in mind boxes for
further review
Vanquish all your preconceptions
A penquin will serve you a wine
glass filled with the unknown
equations of eternal dawn
You are at a lemonade stand
fixed between the rings of Saturn
and a primitive earth that has
received its final burn notice
Drink deep for you have fallen
into the abyss of endless endless
You have entered..

The Dragon

I have an unquenchable fire,
A heart encased in shards of steel.
Immense wings taking me where i aspire,
Talons razor sharp that will make you squeal.
In the night and through the mist,
You will hear my formidable roar.
Within the rays of the suns first kiss,
My presence you shall feel, but see no more.
The pages close and the dragon is caged,
She is just a memory, here on my page.

REBORN

I fear death yet I turn not away,
For if the time comes to put me to lay;
Then I will see no evil nor fight
the burning of the bright light.
God's answer will also be mine,
And so I alone shall not pine;
For long lost dreams and torments,
Soon they shall lie dormant;
Til like the phoenix from the ashes of flame
I will rise once more without blame.

About this poem:
Many years ago, in a reflective mood thinking randomly about the subject of people and animals being reborn in another time, it came to me to write this poem.

I am a Zombie

You can rent me at Zombie's R' US..'
Half my face was chewed out
By maggots, but hey it makes
For interesting conversation
I do birthday parties, picnics,
And social gatherings
You might wanna keep me
Chained up in your backyard
Cause I will bite you
I once chewed the skull
Off some dudes mother-
In- law at a baby
Shower which made
Me a big
Sensation
Soon, everybody
Wanted a Zombie!
I have a backlog
Of people I have
To eat and these
Overtime hours can
Take a toll on
A dead guy
I was taken to a
Wedding and ordered
To eat the bride and
Groom, and when the
Preacher copped and
Attitude, well.. I
Ate him too
I've become something
Of a movie star
In town and I
Am the ideal gift
For a nine or
Ten year old
So order me fast
And avoid the
Christmas rush
You can just tell
People that I'm
Santa's little
Helper
Lol.

The imagination of flowers

'Only step lightly amongst
our pedals they said..'
For flowers we are..
For flowers we are..
'Take our seeds and plant
us in your foggy dreams..'
'The sun of life shall
awaken us and the burgeoning
scent of endless possibilities
will take form before your
very eyes..'
Though you soar within the
this universe of changing
colors you shall
never be uprooted..'
Within these cloven fields
the smiles of children dance
on dew drop pedals and old
mens canes are king's septers
of glistening gold..
Whisper sweet my love
as you float through this
magical valley
If only for a little while
come play among the wild
flowers of that which is,
and is not, and is yet to
be..
We my love.. have been
picked by destiny'

Maiden Voyage.. Lol.

I've gathered up all my maidens
From their straw huts and
We've set sail for a far away
Island..
But these trecherous seas
Are plagued by pirates and
Creatures of the deep
JimEee the pirate will surely
Chase us across this
Vast ocean and ally
Himself with 'Bullman
The Terrible..'
They seek to steal our
Gold and capture our
Women and set fire
To our sails
But I have charted a
Path to the legendary
Bamboo island where
I shall be bathed in
Exotic spices and
Sung angelic songs
By maidens with
Golden harp
I shall live out my
Days ruling from my
Kings chair made
Of island jewels
I shall ride a black
Panther throughout
Our humble huts
And toss grapes and
Sunflower seeds to
The hungry maidens
I shall spawn a whole
New race of royalty
And we shall be called
The Cafastines
The Cafastines will be
A tribe feared among
The nations and we
Shall enslave that evil
Pirate JimEee along
With the Ancient
Bullman in all their
Devilish schemes
Come now, my precious
Maidens
Step aboard the ship
Of dreams and we
Shall sail away into
The deep unknown!
Lol.

Ice King

Fearless, heartless, empowered by hate,
I stand alone, in darkness delight,
a towering blight, untouchable and great,
crushing the dreams of all I forsake.

The cries that remain only fuel my disdain,
I laughed in their face as they withered in pain,
freezing their tears to expand on my reign.

One by one, they crash into my walls,
wave by wave, they perish and fall.
It was you that brought an end to it all,
searing your way through, into my hall.

Awestruck and jaded, I refused your words,
whilst my castle invaded by singing white birds,
you implore that I listen and decide afterwards.

My halls, they echoed incredible song,
her beauty, her eyes, could not resist long.
The ice walls had melted, my heart became warm,
I felt like a rainbow in the eye of a storm.

Years had gone bye, so many, so few,
the feeling of love, I once never knew,
nor the feeling of pain, until I fell for you.

Hopeless, thoughtless, destroyed by fate,
I sit alone, in relentless daylight,
an embarrassing sight, as all cheer and sing,
"The Ballad of the Lonely Ice King."

The Queen and I (Part I)

once upon a long time ago,
sat on the castle wall of Edinburgh,
not the famous Humpty Dumpty,
but humble ancient ol me!

Forget the tower that's way too steep,
to sit upon with my bouncy backside,
All the king's men and royal horses,
were out of town for a joust tourney!

so what's to become of me story
Not to end up in folk lore tragedy,
The queen and her ladies came to be,
in sight of poor old me just waiting!

And nothing they could do to entice,
and save me from a bloody doom,
some raise their hefty bosoms
while others gave flying kisses!

The queen could not do any of these,
coz she is high born lady of virtue,
So she did the next best thing,
Hike her royal skirt and with a shriek,

She raced the ducks by the nearby lake,
and stood right below where I'm sitting,
composing to her normal regal look,
she Inquire me so ever mischievously,

Sir why do you sit there so precariously,
what do you want me to grant thee,
You caught my sight and breath away,
For I'm lonely and the king always busy,

Charming I thought, how delightful,
the queen has got my attention,
Will you grant me oh queen my wishes,
or else ill end my life now for all to see,

You have my royal word of decree,
she proclaim before maidens and ducks,
The time has come for me to deliver,
Once in a lifetime my given luck,

to be continued. . .

Edge of the Sea

Into harsh waters and bright foreign mist,
we sailed through the fog and into abyss.
The shoreline wall, out of nowhere it came,
surviving my brethren and screaming in vain.

Washed up on shore, beneath a near distant sun.
I trek farther and farther, yet feel I never begun.
The walking, tiresome and endless it seems,
but what's atop those hills that I see,
a silhouette in the glare of the sun's awful beams?
As I walk closer, I tremble in fear,
perhaps it's a witch, a siren, demon or seer.

My fears go unfounded as I'm awed in a trance,
I can't look away from her soft graceful dance.
Naked beneath a lonely pale tree,
she looks in my eyes as she descends to me.
Her hands are so smooth and ever so fair as
she runs her fingers through my wet filthy hair.
My mind filled with hope, encumbered with glee,
I only now ask, just how this could be?
How could this have happened to me?
My head bitten off at the edge of the sea.
