Guinevere and Lancelot ~ Two Love Sonnets

My Love, Lancelot

My Knight thou art my love, my life, my sin
Thy love's a guiding light, the brightest star
Ethereal thy touch, like Angel's wing
Thy fiery glance, embracement from afar
This heart is thine forever and a day
Thou holds upon thy hand my fragile soul
My being trembles with delight each day
For thee, my kindred spirit, passion sole
Oh Lancelot, thou sets my heart afire
But what, I ask, mine heart bereft of thee ?
A cold and lonely dungeon; chained my fire !
As Neptune who cannot return to sea
I yearn to drink thy cup of Love divine
And pray the day to come thou steals what's thine

~ Guinevere

My Lady Dear

My Lady Guinevere, my love thou art
Thy love, in darkest night, a beacon bright
Thou sets my soul afire, all notion parts
Thy glance beyond ethereal delight
Thy touch alights my darkest gloomy night
Alike to Dragon's breath my passions burn
No quest, no grail can keep away thy Knight
For thee, my Love, from Death I shall return
My solemn vow for now and evermore
My heart, my soul, my life belongs to thee
Beyond the end of time and Heaven's door
My love thou art for all eternity
I yearn to drink thy cup of Love divine
And pray the day to come thou claims what's thine

~ Lancelot

Message in a bottle

To you (because you found it):
I am lost on a desert island.
Long captivated has its beauty held me,
But it does not make up for being lonely.
I'm begging you, please rescue me;
Else I may lose my sanity.
Creeping insanity, I fear it may come
Before my rescue... Wait, I hear a steel drum!

Could it be that my salvation's at hand
By the lonely wand'ring of a cruise liner's band?
Could it be that I WILL see my friends again?
I would be joyous to leave this land
Behind me. Oh, sweet joy, a ship in sight!
It is on the horizon, and by the sun's light
It may find me yet! Oh, it is the broad light of day!
Bright light, high sun, and, how do you say,
Ah, yes, freedom! But wait. How will they
Be able to find me? The chances are nay...

Yet their ship, yes, their ship, is approaching at speed!
Oh, sweet salvation, how long have I seeked!
And if this day should see them to me,
My self would return to reality.

I can see the passengers now;
Some men, some women. They're standing at the bow
Of the ship. They're searching for something.
Could I possibly be that something?
Yes! I am waving, and they are waving back!
It's true! It is true. I must get ready to pack
All of the things that are here with me;
My only connection to humanity.

But while I'd love to leave this desert isle,
It's been my home for quite a while.
About a week, if I remember right.
(On the sand I would lay, and I spent the nights
Staring up at the sky, filled with diamond-like stars--
But what am I thinking? I'm going home, away from here, far.)

They're coming closer now; I guess I should ready
My belongings... Onmagosh, is that my baby???
Yes, it is he!! What sweet, sweet irony
That my rescuer should be my one and only!
The only man I will ever love;
He has searched for and found his wand'ring dove!
And now, now I see, he is calling my name!
He cries out "I love you" and I cry out the same.
And as the ship anchors in the shallow sea,
I run to him; he runs to me
After securing the anchor. I exult in
His warm embrace. I'll never leave him again!
He picks up my bags while holding my hand...

And sadly I realize this message must end.
So, happily now I'll seal this message
In a bottle, and send it on its passage.
A miraculous rescue this, I think you'll agree.
May this message give you hope on the open sea.
And so, as we are going home, I shall drop
This message in a bottle into the ocean, with hope
That my joyous words will comfort you
When you're on the open sea, lonely and blue.

Angels And Dinosaurs

Swoop down come you all on your golden wings
Beckonning my pleas for your safety brings
Shining green eyes and a lizard tongue sings
With a shrilling voice from the King of Kings

No greater raptor on earth can compare
For only your fossils in earth lie bare
Waiting once again for the truth do dare
For all who knows your mystery beware

Perchance angelic image was all wrong
Art and form never human all along
In our hearts we do fear where you belong
When so much your legend became our song

Once upon a time before we humans
You were Glory, Alleluia, Amen

About this poem:
A fantasy sonnet about dinosaurs being 'true angels' once living on our planet and down through the ages we mortals have arose but are still waiting their return. It's kind of a strange poem even for my standards not to take anything away from Botticelli who so inspires me with his "Birth of Venus", but maybe he got it all wrong?? :))

Dark Matter aka Outer Space

There is this free ranging substance filling the whole universe, It was called void but now they named it Dark Matter, It is an infinite ocean that floats countless galaxies, You could called it as blackest shroud, Or sometimes be known as darkest cloud, It classification and composition is still unknown!! And scientists are still puzzle by it's origin, You could call it an element that is neither living nor dead, Do not brush lightly of this amazing thing, It has godlike power to hold galaxies and invisible black holes!!! And only recently are these scientists trying to replicate it in laboratories, While Astronomers around the world looked through their telescopes in their observatories, With a slight acknowledgement of one of God's greatest mysteries !!! Space as we know it but will be refer to as DARK MATTER

Fairy Song

Far out in the middle of the woods
Where the fairies dance and play
Where sunbeams break through the leaves
And no one goes that way
There is a glen that opens there
And captures hearts so true
If you should chance to pass this way
Listen closely, they might speak to you
Way out in the middle of the woods
I've heard the bells that ring
And watched the dance of the fairies
Upon their gossamer wings
Just as the sun is setting
And the rays of light are low
And the moon starts casting it's shadow
It is here that the fairies go
And if you lay down softly
Among the moss covered logs
And watch among the moonbeams
And the slowly falling fog
Maybe you'll see them dancing
(Good luck is what it brings)
So stay there very quietly
And listen as the fairies sing.

vampires bitten kisses

I want to be bitten by a vampire
In the worse way.
First kissed and caressed gently,
With a sensual bit of play.
Chisel teeth of suculance
Fangs Hidden un-displayed.
A complexion like no other, stunning
Pale array.
A gleaming light of dullness,
Illuminating from the face.
Piercing eyes mesmerized,
In a trance, lost in a sweet gaze.
Softly grazing my neck, with the lips.
Touching my face, with his fingertips.
Trembling at the hips, desire at first kiss
Held in his arms, in the dark evening mist
Almost sedated, penetrated, at first bite
Blood seaping, slowly leaking,
Bitten at dawn's early light....

Build a boat

Safe in a ship in space,
Aliens were discussing the human race ,
Some with obvious distaste,
It was a very heated debate...
"The shaved apes deserve their fate!"
"They don't deserve to procreate!",
One said "I feel bad, what can they do,
Can't we just save one or two?",
Again the arguement ensued,
"No..! They are merely ants..bugs!,
Why should we help them with their flood? ",
The angry one would not be budged.
"It is time for divine wrath from above!",
And while they argued back and forth,
Sink or float,
One told Utna to build a boat...

End of the world

I have food and water for two for a week,
And enough rounds for a thousand zombies,
I will try to get to high ground,
A vantage point for miles around,
Then I can see what's coming at me,
If anyone's up to something sketchy,
I've trained in hunting,fishing,trapping,
Got to be ready in case stuff happens,
I've stashed floatation and breathable air,
In case it floods I've got four minutes to spare,
Call me crazy I don't care,
It never hurts to be prepared...

The wind in her hair

I could never forget
that hair..long and
flowing, like black
silk against a moonit
night
She would notice me
watching her as she
boarded the train each
morning
With a tinge of embarrassment
I would quickly turn my head
Yet there was that smile as she
would toss that hair over her
shoulder and I would gaze
even more deeply as I watched
it lay like soft velvet on the
contours of her graceful neck
Was the wind some mysterious
mistress visiting my senses when
it engulfed that lusty silk on this
gusty March morning?
My daydreams became my
nightdreams and a full moon
would illumine our entwined
bodies with her blanket of
hair dragging across my chest
teasing me like angelic
feathers
One night I was awakened by
a soft knock on my door
I made my way downstairs
by flickering candlelight
I opened the door slowly
and there was that shimmering
hair..and that smile**

There Be Dragons Here

Enormous grey clouds feasted on sunbeams;
soft veils of mist further paling the light.
As I roamed 'cross the lush green outlands of Galway,
a skulking presence was sensed to my right.
Throughout my young life I’d heard many legends;
dragon tales embellished with time and stout ale.
Those who believed would beg I not wander,
lest I suffer the wrath the fates might assail.

Cold prickling gooseflesh, creeping in ripples,
stabbed at my flesh till I trembled with fear.
I knew beyond doubt, to the depths of my soul,
a dragon had spied me and lurked ever near.
I whispered an old Irish prayer to myself,
unable to move, but so wanting to flee.
When finally the beast did make itself known,
'twas a wee baby dragon stood staring at me!

We lingered in silence, awkward, unsettled,
though time had stood still and left us to dream.
I studied those soul piercing amber eyes,
and its shimmering scales of emerald green.
I feared for my life, yet no parent protested.
I felt a great sadness as deep as the sea.
I had on my hands a young orphaned dragon,
a beast who had taken a liking to me.

The Irish name "Lorcan" was seemly and ample
thus, bestowed on the dragon that curious day.
Time brought with it unavoidable change,
and the need for caution each step of the way.
How was a mortal entrusted this secret?
Not that I harbored an ounce of regret.
It's not everyday common folk meet with legends;
all my life long, I would never forget.

Lorcan hid well in his cave during day's light.
When all were asleep, he would soar through the sky.
He hunted and drank from the land and the loughs,
and sometimes I heard his low mournful cry.
This tale ends not with disheartening sorrow.
For you see, I did find in the sly Lorcan's lair,
not only the dame he had won in his travels,
but another wee dragon claimed residence there!
