Walking down these empty roads
My mandolin at my side
searching for the lost melodies
That are buried deep in my mind
It's like searching for a ghost
Although I feel them in my soul
I follow the notes that I hear
But they disappear like melting snow
I'm Lost in Hidden Melodies
That I've yet to recover
Holding on to the echoes
Of the melodies I can't uncover
I hear a whisper of a tune
But it fades away so fast
I always try to chase it down
But the music never lasts
It's like searching for a ghost
They disappear like melting snow
I follow the notes that I hear
I can feel them burn my soul
I'm Lost in Hidden Melodies
Of the music I can't uncover
Holding on to the echoes
That I've yet to recover
I've strummed my heart out
Yet my search persists
Each song I play my soul into
Each note played by wrist
Even if I never find them again
The melodies not heard but felt.
I'll keep chasing after them
Thier imprint on my heart'll never melt

Deep in the mines where the ale flows free
Our tankards raised, let the revelry be
Dwarven drinking songs and cheers all round
For we're the finest miners in the underground
Our work is rough, but our spirits high
For we're the ore extractors 'til we die
With pick-axes and hammers at our side
We'll drink to our health and mining pride
The sweat on our brows, a badge of honor
As we celebrate our toil, our highness we garner
The caverns ring with the dwarven sound
As we sing and toast our stouts all 'round
So raise your tankards and sing along
To the mining life, our drinking song
For deep in the mines where the ale flows free
We'll raise our voices in grand jubilee.

An evil man stands before me,
with eyes dark as midnight sky
A life of pain and sorrow,
soul so lost, it made me cry
But there's a glimmer of hope,
deep within his ashen dreams
A chance at his redemption,
or so to me it seems
His world cruel and heartless,
So his heart it did turn cold
But deep down I can see,
his weary soul longs to unfold
In this fleeting moment,
all his pain fades away
he embraces the light,
and let his darkness slip sway
So let us dance like fireflies,
in this ephemeral delight
And find our way back home,
in the heart of the night
For redemption is a journey,
filled with twists and turns
But with love by our side,
our spirits forever yearn
Ashen Dreams, we break the chains,
and rise up to the sky
With each step we take,
we become heroes with wings to fly.

In a land of magic and wonder,
There lived a child with pure innocence,
She roamed the fields with laughter and splendor,
Blissfully unaware of the world's malevolence.
But one day a darkness descended,
The air grew cold, and the sky turned grey,
The child was frightened and apprehended,
Her innocence slowly withered away.
The creatures of the land ran and hid,
As the shadows crept towards her,
The child cried out, "I want to be a kid!",
But her plea was swallowed by the sinister murmur.
The darkness took over, and the child's spirit broke,
Her vivid fantasies became a distant memory,
The land was still, and the silence spoke,
As the death of innocence became a tragedy.
Her world now tainted, with corruption and greed,
Forced to grow up too soon, the child could no longer dream,
No longer could the child embrace their pure creed,
The death of innocence, a melancholy theme.

To be kissed is such an intimate act.
He takes your face in both hands,
Gently leans in and brushes his lips over your mouth.
You feel His breath, warm and gentle as he watches you.
Just holding your face softly, leans in and crushes your lips, takes your moans into his mouth and tastes your soul.
Leans back and looks at your eye's, and softly parted lips, smile's right into you.
That's how to kiss a woman.

Where oh where does my mind go
Once outside my body if it could
On some impossible dream would flow
Like a meandering brook in the wood
Places I would never agree to journey
With some people I don’t even know
Between fantasy and reality concern me
Far away from my country meadow
Sometimes in a more familiar show
I did know really ask to be part of
Moving too fast or moving too slow
Dancing on a big stage falling in love
When such dreams are lovely and deep
I feel quite content when I awaken
But sometimes in a nightmarish creep
Back down a path I should not have taken

Fear lies low,
As Love sighs upon us, as we gaze from atop the deep cliff,
"The water doesn't look that shallow",
For Darkness gave us wings as we soar for the sweet taste,
Inviting us down below,-
Such a sad thought condemned us to dream,
Punishing us to carry on,
Only left to ponder and dwell,
And to tell such a tale,--
Mischief Rules!,
Until one day Mischief met Compassion,
Yet, hard to understand each other,
Love stepped in, and decided to show the way,-
"What is now, here we both must understand",
"You're the ground that stays put",
I'm the sun, begins, shines, then starts to fade!".--
Love cries,
Watching the army led by Sorrow,
Face to face to meet Happiness,
On a once tropical, now wasted desert ground,-
Fear swept high,
Without knowing the knowledge that is kept secretly by Tomorrow,
Tomorrow steps to the side,
While it all goes down,--
During the battle of wits to win the war of emotions,
Sorrow and Happiness met at the war table,
"For the total of what we've lost",
"We must unite, and learn to rebuild again",-
Today said, "I think I know the answer?"
"What Yesterday lost, I know now!"-
"Tomorrow only keeps it a secret, leaving it up to you to decide",
"Is this a new beginning; or, will this be the end?"--
Life watches this through its mind's eye,
As the coldness of night falls upon us,
And we all know that the night is a gift from Darkness and Fear who walk hand and hand,
Only the reflection of the moon guides us by light,-
And just to glide quietly by shadow,
The orb quickly creeps away,
Of what Yesterday learned then, was given Today, yet still, kept a secret by Tomorrow,
And Love just smiled,--

About this poem:
This one was written 11-27-2021, just a few minutes before I wrote I Am No One. I'd consider this abstract freestyle writing. An introduction out of nothing and a conclusion into something, perhaps? Just to start off with some words and see where I can go with them! Although this is nothing but a rough draft, I hope you enjoy the meaningless, off the wall storyline! lol

I believe you are there,
Somewhere in the endless air,
A presence felt but never seen,
A whisper in the silent dream.
You are the gentle touch of breeze,
That rustles through the autumn trees,
The warmth of sun upon my face,
A reminder of your sweet embrace.
I sense you in the morning light,
As birdsong greets the dawning bright,
And in the starry, starry night,
Where constellations gleam with light.

Entering the therapists’ room I experienced
brief and glimpse encounters
through an aquatic of grappling hands and minds.
Yet all who proclaimed to be healers were stealers.
Among them was the highly acclaimed clairvoyant
trying to penetrate my mind.
She became overwhelmed and frustrated
finding no gateway,
abandoning me, as hopeless, mindless and useless
thrusting me towards you
the new boy
in training
untried, untested
and little thought of
too insignificant for their grandeur.
You knew that I was being cast off
furthermore thrown into your direction
as unwanted, un-repairable
too broken to restore
opinions of the soothsayer
oracles of false prediction.
The teeming room of therapist
glanced on with pity
as they exchanged fistfuls of their clients wealth
“She is covered in blood!
who can go near her” they feared
“You have her” the mystics insisted.
You held me in your arms
Then gently seating me down upon the rug
You handed me a colourless bolster bean-filled pillow.
I pressed the pillow close to my chest
hugging it like my own teddy.
You drew in close to me,
asking me to choose a colour for the pillow.
“Vivid light green, a turquoise sea” I responded
“I knew you would choose that shade” you joyfully affirmed.
Simultaneously I was on board your boat
Buoyantly floating the aquamarine estuary
You held my shoulders, gently rocking me
The boat swayed back and forth
as your healing love journeyed
exploring my complexity
through your sweet unguent scented palms.
Embracing one of your hands
descending it down my torso,
nestling it precariously on the inner part of my thigh
I enticed you into the boat with me.
While the elements gently rocked us
Your hand soothingly and sensually
fondled me into a sleepy lull.
With my back inclined into your chest
along with your arms around me I melted
into your caresses.
Nuzzling your head
into the curve of my neck and shoulder
we drifted on the calm swaying waters.
We no longer were two separate entities
however had become as one,
encircling the cool flame
of infinite love and peace
flickering through our quintessence
as the healing flame entwined each receptor
infusing the subtle energies
gracefully flowing like liquid gold
exploring our veins and vessels
entwining us like a woven blanket,
a tapestry of bliss.
Subsequently
we were curtly interrupted
from our dreamy boat
of tranquillity,
by prodding therapist
with scornful expressions
“Totally unethical” we heard them murmur with many “tuts”
Yet nothing bothered us...
Nonetheless we remained serene
plus undisturbed within,
there were no disturbances
within the waters of our existence.
You encircled me intimately
wrapping your arms around me firmly.
Your sensual sexuality surged
as you pressed in closely
upwelling through my spine.
Whilst both inhaling
in perfect synchronisation
the presence of the living God
filled our hearts.
When we exhaled together
all the brokenness
plus all the pain dispensed.
With each breath we shared
deeper healing occurred.
Trust and bonding grew between us
like two innocent children.
Peace and understanding was ours
to be claimed.
Fear dissipated into the sea
as Christine held us safely in her bowels
